I’ve read some articles and from what I’ve seen it seems like people are upset that 13th Colony isn’t explicitly saying they are sourcing their whiskey. Personally, it doesn’t really bother me. They release a very good amount of information as far as age, all the finishes, the time it spent in the finishing barrel, mashbill, etc. for me to feel confident. The more transparency, the better! From all the people I have talked to that have done barrel picks there they fall in love with the people there. Seems like great people putting out great whiskey and giving more information than most people these days give you. What are your thoughts?
@Whiskey_Trek I personally don't care if they source, distill or blend as long as the whiskey is good. I'm more concerned with what I'm hearing about adding artificial color and flavors. I have their small batch bourbon which I like and a single barrel hazmat rye which I think is amazing but it does make me curious how that whiskey is so dark very similar to the double oaked.
