    this is the best video on YT for this fix, I was wondering in your opinion could someone do this without removing the tank

    Thanks for the excellent video, Jayson & Crystal. We have 2 2011 Suzuki KingQuad 400's. First one started dying when it got hot, figured it wasn't getting fuel so tried blowing into the little rubber line coming off the top of the fuel cap. Found that if I pressured up the gas tank and held the pressure there it would run then. Took it to the dealer and told them all this and that I thought the fuel pump needed to be replaced. They didn't believe me, did a couple of hundred $ diagnostics, said they had it fixed so we took it home and it did the same thing. Bottom line we had to take it back and they finally replaced the fuel pump to the tune of about $500 and it has run great ever since. I thought at first it might be a fuel filter restriction, but the dealer said the fuel filter was INSIDE the fuel pump. Seems like an inline filter or the filler sock you have would be an improvement. Anyway, we may replace the fuel pump ourselves this time. I am interested to see if a pump for $30 on Amazon might work. Reviews indicate it does, though might need some slight modification.... Either that or back to the dealer for another $500 fix...

    Great video. I have a 500 King Quad and it pretty much looks like the 750. Bike went for a swim so I want to drain tank. Thank you.

    231Massey, the King had a little over 3000 miles prior to selling it last year to fund other projects. Had to replace rear axles at one point, changed fuel filter just because I'm a maintenance freak, belt every 500-1000 miles and other than that just general maintenance. Great quads, very dependable and not the best at anything, just good at everything. At this point I've not purchased a Sportsman to review yet. Some of the guys I ride with have them and they also seem to be a good quad.

      my kingquad 700 2005 let me down this winter it stop after a 15 min ride in snow whit tracks and just start it run for 10 sec and stop again so start again and stop all of this for one minute so i decide to let the quand in my farm land until spring and 4 months later i start it and every thing was ok so i think the problem is i had some water in the gaz and it frozen on the filter so i am planing to change the pump and the filter and change the old gaz in the tank

    Great job with your vid. Just wondering why an inline filter meant for fuel injected systems, couldn't be installed?

    Great video! Love to see the stuff under the plastics! How does the vent line on that tank run up until and after the one way valve? I’m looking to reroute mine.

      Thanks for reaching out. You'll see the orange check valve... Route it from there to anywhere you like.

    Thanks for the write up for this as I'm looking into doing a fuel pump replacement on my 08 KQ 750 AXi.
    Question, I'm getting the C41 code as well as a temperature warning light. can the fuel pump or issues related to the fuel pump cause the quad to run lean and cause it to run really hot. The temp light comes on with the quad not running and being cold. Thanks again

    • @everythingatv-utv-reviews3565
      @everythingatv-utv-reviews3565  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Joseph, your diagnosis certainly sounds feasible. What does the C41 code refer to?

    • @ProjektFear
      @ProjektFear 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Everything ATV-UTV-Reviews C41 is Fuel Pump Control trolling System. I believe my pump is now shot or 90% dead. it now won't start, runs extremely hot. I'll be doing the fuel pump and parts related. but I have to direct connect the pump to see if it's not my ecu. It could be bad and not communicating with the pump.

    I have 2 questions, 1. Does removing the fuel line from the sending unit require A special tool? 2. please describe how the back plastics come off, I cant find ANY videos on that.

    • @everythingatv-utv-reviews3565
      @everythingatv-utv-reviews3565  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Gary, it does not require a special tool unless Suzuki has changed the connection on newer models. There are two tabs on each side of the fuel line connector that mates to the sending unit. Squeeze these in and push toward the sending unit and then back to remove. 2. After removing the rear rack, follow the video for removing the wiring under the seat and then a couple of bolts.

    How do you get the filter off

    • @smallgaragehustle
      @smallgaragehustle 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just did this so I’ll explain for a future reader. The fuel pump must slide out of the plastic body for the filter to slide out. To avoid the hassle I trimmed out the bottom plastic end as the new filter fits better without a small section of the bottom plastic. Took 10 mins to finish the job.

    The connections do not need to come loose , that is totally false.
