Just getting an oil change at a Chevy dealer for my 2017 Suburban. They pulled mine out and wanted $75 to change it. Bought one for $10 and did myself. Thanks for the video!
Definitely helpful. I thought cabin air filters were a scam. Then I found this video, and swapped mine out after the dealership wanted to charge about $100. I bought the filter for $15, and with this video, able to do it myself. Took about fifteen minutes. Definitely not a scam, as that filter was dirty and dead June bugs (potato bugs) all over it. Glad I found this video.
Great video for a refresh. I've done this before. Took me 30 minutes. I have big hands so a bit of a challenge removing the honeycomb door and putting it back. Saved a few bucks. Thank you.

You're Welcome!
$75 is not bad to replace it. they sell parts and service and have big overhead.
@@hardsincigar8505Im not paying them $75 for 5 minutes of work
@@hardsincigar8505it’s not great either, if you can do something 65 dollars cheaper and have 15 mins to spare why not

Does this help improve Cabin air smell? My filter looks clean but i get a musty smell at first when i turn on AC
Yes, it can
Would replacing this help with air volume? Mine seems low.
it can improve air flow a bit of the air filter is really dirty
@@PYR-Auto I found out that mine doesn't have one. It is 1996. But I did find a video that covered cleaning out the blower.

What is that white tube in front of the filter compartment?
don't remember or sure but I think that is where the damping cord comes out of
You make it look easy. Just did it in a 19 chevy. GM really wants you to bring it to the dealer with this poor design
😂😂😂 i own a VW and this ain’t crap compare to , VW engineers said hold my beer to design their cars
Plz which side goes up and down show clearly

A Torx bit - its a # T15
I had the same question. Never heard of this.
Is it ok to throw away that plastic waste to the trash?
Im not sure what you mean - what plastic?
@@PYR-Auto that plastic cover when taking the screws off just to take the cabin cover off
@@gamerdude9704 I don't think it would hurt anything or really matter but I personally wouldn't do that
Im trying it
Cool, let me know how it goes

Great
Thanks!
Crap design by Chevy.
2014 Ram 1500 doesn't even have one lol. Be happy you got one lolz
21+ GM SUV design is so easy you can have it done in about 30 seconds. If you want to see a bad design take a look at the Ford Expedition.
Thank you Sir!
