@@parrodii3140 Thanks man. I tel you its been hard the past two seasons going out but coming home empty handed. But I don't give up lol. Made a deer burger last night. Was awesome. Thanks for the positive comment. Happy hunting.
@@smanoutdoors3165 You're certainly welcome man! Don't give up even when you do have those days where you come up empty. It's called Hunting, not killing. Just like Fishing is called fishing and not catching. LOL. My middle son (34) just killed his first deer last season too. A good size doe. Got his second deer just this past saturday. Another good size doe. But they all eat good when you fix em right brother! He's still waiting for his first Buck and he'll get it eventually. Keep it up and stay positive. Happy hunting to you as well!
@parrodii3140 i'm with you. I am in it for the hunt not the kill. The excitement i felt when i got the buck was just about being successful after perservering the past two seasons. Congrats to your son on being successful. And im with you. The place i hunt its either sex. So i didn't even know it was a buck until after I shot. It all happened so fast. Thanks again...
@tommyrussell1415 Thanks man. You're right about that. All the time I have still hunted, this is the first one I successfully jumped. I guess Im getting better at the technique.

@smanoutdoors3165 Bucks like that are hard to come by I been a hunter since 1980 and I have only got 2 bucks similar to yours got lots of other smaller ones
@smanoutdoors3165 has a lot to do the area you hunt in I lived in Upstate New York where there isn't any farm land it was vast forest for miles and miles kind of place I loved to hunt so deer like that would go into the hemlock (big pine trees)swamps and then only ventured out at night I mean these swamps are huge you go in there not knowing what you are doing they may never find you if someone had to come looking for you
@martybritton267 hehe. Yeah There are some places here with nice trails and other public lands where it is easier to get lost. One day I want to get up there to NY or PA and try some hunting. I have heard they are bigger up there..
@@smanoutdoors3165 Oh nice, Those Kick's chokes seem to really bring out the effectiveness of buckshot for hunting. Particularly when using shells without a flight control type wad.
@Boomstick88 yeah. I have been satisfied with the patterning and spread of the buckshot with this choke. It costed a pretty penny too about $60 but well worth it. Thanks.
Well buddy its good that you got 1 but its very unsafe walking through the woods with your gun off safe ow suppose you slip are something catch your tigger then what so thats very unsafe
@@davidbarnes7915 you're right. I usually put the safety on anytime i walk through brush or if I am walking risky terrain like a slippery slope etc. So its not constantly off, just when I feel safe for it to be off and the muzzle is always pointed in a safe direction. I usually hunt alone too
