We were never happier to get back to Chicago when our visits were over. Thinning their populations is necessary for rural folks with chicken and livestock.
In Kentucky coyotes are legal to hunt year round day or night. No limits. Very little equipment restrictions. That tells you how much of a problem they are. Near my farm it is foxes.
I get it. Coyotes look like dogs, and we're all animal lovers, so it's hard for me to watch as well, but I live in a very large city, and even here, coyotes kill many peoples pets everyday. Should the coyote die, or the little dog in its own yard? I pick the coyote.

First time i went hog hunting, i fell asleep in the tent with my best friend. Woke up when it was 9:15 to the sound of these pests howling. It was pitch black, so opening my eyes seemed like they didnt open at all, i thought to myself "is this what hell is?" And then realized it wasnt hell and i just fell asleep and woke up to yotes howling and it being pitch dark. 😂 funny times

We have issues with packs of coyote here in Georgia. One is too many! While traveling yesterday I saw a male Coyote as large as a German Shepherd. He got lucky and slipped away.
To everyone saying “go and pet one and see what happens” I did. I rescued an abandoned pup and it sits next to me as I type this with my two pointers and my two labs. She is my bait dog to lure out the other coyote. She stands in the tree line and draws out the bad coyotes for me.
