Lyrics:
Keep your secrets in the dark
Nothing matters anymore
Body's breaking, drive me crazy
Oh this is not your place, no this is not your playground
It's my heart!
We were stupid, we got caught
But nothing matters anymore
So what? Here we are, juggernaut
Courage broken, lashed to scars
Can this love be what I want?
Body's breaking, driving me crazy (driving me crazy)
It's your fault!
We were stupid, we got caught
But nothing matters anymore
So what? Here we are, juggernaut,
Juggernaut
"No, this is not your playground, it's my heart." Favorite line.
❤
I could play their whole discography front to back and not skip one song. Thats what makes them my favorite band ever.
I don't understand how ANYONE on this planet could not love this song, i get the chills when i listen to it. Probably one of the best songs ever created
Love this entire album.
Probably the most underrated band of the last 20 years!!
my friends keep telling me its emo lol. idc if it is or isnt imma listen to this till i die
Hardly underrated
@@markwalker3510 emo huh? They must be really really slow people
@@robertparkinson5254 I mean Coheed kinda is tbh 😂
@@markwalker3510 you can say a couple songs are emo, but when taking in the full catalogue of songs it becomes apparent they are not
The thing about Coheed's music is that they don't box themselves into a particular style. This is how all music should be. It is diverse set of tools to tell a story, and they don't care about experimenting to get the job done. I love it.
This song makes me want to yell, cry, scream, be happy, and gives me goosebumps all at the same time
this music video gives me chills. just imagine the terror looking up at the normally blue sky to see something like this.
After years of watching this, it JUST hit me that the "Black Rainbow" is the inhabitant's perspective of their planet's atmosphere effectively being ripped apart, sealing their fate. This is also why the couple at the end grasps each other's hand, because they are witnessing something both beautiful to behold and ultimately fatal.
Well in the book, and then the comics that just came out, The Black Rainbow most likely is an ethereal property. Wilhelm Ryan looks beyond the living world to rule, and finds a more spiritual world to conquer. It is heavily implied in the newest comics that The Black Rainbow either came from this spiritual world, or is a physical representation of both the physical and spiritual world merging together.
All im saying is that The Black Rainbow, in the story canon, is actually physically there, and not just an abstract concept
@@NocturneJester Not a sign that the Earth was coming into Heaven's Fence. In The Second Stage Turbine Blade comic, when Coheed burns one of the Stars of Sirius, the planets connected to that Star break off and ended up forming their own tiny galaxy with what Keywork was left in the planets. This galaxy being our Milky Way, complete with Saturn, Uranus, the Sun and everything else. The idea that the Earth comes into Heaven's Fence doesn't *seem* to be the case, but after the newest comics, ANYTHING is possible at this point lmao
@@NocturneJester Actually, given the new info regarding the My Brother's Blood Machine comic, the idea that our Earth going into Heaven's Fence, or the Amory Wars reality, for a more specific phrase, is ENTIRELY possible. It's about Inferno being transported (not sure how) to our Earth to tell the tale of the Amory Wars, and that our Milky Way is actually a destroyed sector of Heaven's Fence. Before he can tell that story, he tells the story of My Brother's Blood Machine.
So just to reiterate, you're probably right, just have the wrong timeline of events. This wouldn't be happening during The Black Rainbow given the events that unfold in that story and how they progress. It could take place before Second Stage, but the evidence suggests My Brother's Blood Machine takes place after From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness.
This video was shot a few blocks from my house!
@@ActionJacksonForeverLucky!!!
The guy's hair alone tells a million stories!!
Best moment of my life. Driving around town at 10 at night during a thunder storm blaring juggernaut from my stereo. Watching the wind whip trees and debris around and seeing the lightening flash. And me just imagining that I was in this music video. Nothing could contain this epic moment.
This is actually one of the coolest music videos of all time.
Ong bro
"And thus the sky tore open, for God heard the power of Claudio."
when the world truly ends the only song that I hear in my head is this one
I would probably here The Broken in my head.
it would actually be The Black Rainbow for me..
How do they make that sound when they hit “heeeaaart” and “caaaauught.” It’s otherworldly
because the claudfsther can do anything
Two or three layers of vocal harmonies.
Barry Gibbs bro
a swift kick to the nuts?
Vocal and electronic harmonization.
0:37 "NO THIS IS NACHO PLACE, NO THIS IS NACHO PLAYGROUND ITS MY HEEEARRRRTT"
i hear nacho too XD
I am the terror that flaps in the night, I am the banana that ruined your Mario Kart cup^^
@@Finngrinderbro what
Travis REALLY stepped it up on this album. They all did. Kind of like how they stepped up in In Keeping Secrets from Second Stage. When I first heard this (me being a HUGE fan of Second Stage) I felt like this wasn't that great Coheed sound. Then I realized that this is their BIG step into evolving into the greatest musicians in the world. I now see the genius they put into this record. I now realize that this record defines who Coheed and Cambria is, and all the work that got them here.
Why do some Coheed fans hate this song? I've listened to all of there albums religiously and I find this song to be pretty damn good!
I know your comment is 3 years old and i find it hard to get into the new stuff. This song is even new for me. I listened to In keeping, second stage, GAIBS IV and NWFT. But this song is incredible. Very catchy even immediately and the video is amazing.
Honestly couldn’t tell you. I’ve heard just about everything they’ve made and I love every second of it. Not one complaint from me
This song is great. There is several great songs on this album. But it is the only album where the songs i really don't get into as much, i have to change the song. All the other albums, i can listen all the way through. And honestly i can't point my finger to why. But for a band that is fixing to release a 9th album, and 7 are really good, and half of this album is really good, that is rare man. Greatest band musically ever.
Because those fans are the kinda fake fans that cant accept that a band changes over time.
It’s more the album than the song. Definitely one of their weaker albums but still even in their low the damn near virtuosity of this group is amazing
claudios hair is my hero
shimbalaiê quando vejo o sol beijando o mar
you ever see em live? Howwwww does he fit it into a bun?!
gertra guff
@@aernest825 he didn't, but fake everyone out on IG, the reveal is worth looking up.
That hair is legendary man
Easily one of the best choruses I’ve ever heard
"This is not your place, this is not your playground, it's my heaaaaaaaart!!!!!!!"
It's my personal opinion but damn i just love the fact i can put on any of their cd's or all and just listen to all of it.
Same bro
Love that lion mane blowing in the wind. 😍
I honestly grew my hair out to look like his lmao
Shenpai so did I
still when i hear this song the bassist blows me away
Yeah the bass just goes off, amazing work
I had a friend that was a hater of Coheed due to Claudio's falsetto. She had a strong prog-rock background, though, and after this song she bought Black Rainbow. Now she's a total Coheed fan and we keep our fingers crossed for Neverender 2 :)
I have no idea why people hate on this album so much. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
The acoustic version of this is incredible. Never heard such a hard song translate so well to acoustic.
"Hey, the world's ending... Can I hold your hand?"
Doug, I'm also 56 and these boys blow my shit away too. Jesus what a band. Some guys that take the time to write interesting songs, amazing lyrics that take you on a trip if ya want (remember that?) Not since Jehtro Tull has a band been this good and different. The stuff I see live on TH-cam reaffirms the patience that these guys have taken to hone their craft, and come off better live than their records, unlike something the Rolling Stones have done in the past.Live the Stones owe me money!!
Keywork symbol on my leg keeping me standing strong.
this song makes me want to cry I don't know why....
Aaaand there's a guy reading the Amory Wars comic at 1:00! This is awesome! Excellent song and a great music video to go with. Coheed is such an amazing band! They never fail to deliver the goods!
Over a decade of this existing, and you're the first one to point this out. Hats off to you for being that observational!
He's reading Volume 1 of SSTB btw.
Anybody else get goosebumps watching this video?
hah the guy at 1:00 is reading amory wars
Whats that..
Jeremy Dotson shame on you
Jeremy Dotson nah but for real it’s the comic book that coheed and Cambria made
Who wouldn’t read armory wars?
Its very true what they say, there are not alot of bands out there that you can say sounds like no other band, Coheed is one of the few. Also, a lot of the music today isnt very musical and with all of its members having no musical schooling at all, Coheed are among some of the most talented musicians out there. Coheed is like an endangered species and should be cherrished. I'm confident in saying that there will never be another band like this one.
Yeah I know right, this isn't on vevo or anything, or have a 1.2 million view. Sooooo underrated
I absolutely love Coheed and Cambria
the idea of the atmosphere being torn apart has always been a childhood terror for me, and now C&C has captured it into a video THANK YOU FOR TRIGGERING MY NIGHTMARES CLAUDIO!
If you don't understand what is happening please read the books! This is a beautiful video that shows a LOT about the story!
i can't afford the books.
ianciti
they're called libraries, check em out!
i shall
Space Waffles What book are you talking about?
I’ve been with this band since their inception and know every song on every album. Can only listen to it in order to get the full effect. I was lured in with his beautiful voice plus he referenced New Jersey a LOT and I’m a jersey girl. They blow my mind. And it absolutely hits differently now that I’m getting closer to 40. I miss the days of going to see them live no matter what it took. Considered my top fav band. The story is just so amazing. Plus that hair…it’s EVERYTHING. This video it is short for him! love Claudio soooo much. 💗💗
My recommendation: listen to allll of their albums in order to get the full effect of the story line. If u don’t know, it’s based off his comic book that Claudio created himself, the armory wars. Love you guys thanks for being in my life at the best years of my life and hopefully forever. At least I know your music will😍😍
Been listening to them for 15yrs now. Discovered C & C by accident on iTunes. I feel very fortunate. Their talent, passion and dedication to rock is is almost overwhelming. They are a gift.
wow.. 12 years ago? jesus time flies
this song gives me literal goose bumps... i just wish i could touch Claudios hair....
I'm gonna be honest and say; I've only been a fan of them for a few months now but I really really love their stuff. I know I'm way behind and won't sound like a 'true fan' but...eh, I think it's cool how he can sound the way he does yet still move someone with his words! I like that!
This song gives me chills.
1:44 still one of the best bridges I could ever head bang to
gotta the love the little dance he does at 1:01
No this is not your place, no this is not your playground its my Heart! Love that part!
and I'm so in love with Claudio Sanchez. Have been for 10 years, will be for another 10. Such a beautiful mind.
Please tell me I'm not the only one who noticed the guy in the video reading The Amory Wars...
You aren't insane, ma'am.
No you were not
this is a band that's gunna be around for along time look how far they come and their albums u cud listen to them from beginning to end...5 stars
i agree, wish i found them sooner
1:01 That backwards jump thing Claudio does is awesome.
Look, we got a badass over here!!!
I cannot stop listening to this song
Words will never be able to express how this song changes my entire being. I can't listen to this song and not divert all of my attention to just listen. This song is such a masterpiece and is fueled from pure talent. This entire group are such gifted individuals for a love of quality music. 10/10 Coheed and Cambria is an amazing band.
Im going to their concert next month! I cant believe ill be that close to claudio 😍😍😍
I'm 58 . Have seen them 23 times . have talked to each of the members multiple times . Roll Tide .
Whenever the lead says " we were stupid.." i get shivers. haha i think its just the way he says it, idk.
does anone else make music like this???
I just don't get tired of these guys........
I caught on only a few years ago, but damn.......the music is so good...the stories are so good.....
love this stuff
Claudio's hair cracks me up
You mean Claudio's hair is crack. As in you can't stop wanting it. As in it drives you. ALL HAIL CLAUDIO!
Jaren Prince lol i got the length but would totally need an awesomess perm to get to his level and still fall very short

"DIS SUM GOOD SHIT MOFUGGAS"
can we just all agree that this is like the best music video ever :o
Close. There is a graphic novel made for each album, which illustrate the concept of Coheed and Cambria. Each song represents: The inspiration drawn from a real life occurrence in Claudio's life (Sanchez, not Kilgannon), the conceptual story (which is then illustrated in the graphic novels), and the personal experience of each fan that we relate to the song.
Saying that the songs represent specific scenes from the novels would be like saying that the music was created for the upcoming film.
lets say a coheed and cambria album is a skittle you can't have just one
I don't care what song they put over it, I am convinced this video is showing the events of Elf Tower, New Mexico.
I love his hair in this video😍don't get me wrong I've loved it for 12 years, it's just matured...
Ziggy Marie I think it's too short! It looks better longer, in my opinion at least.
Like, they already have the CGI done for Heaven's Fence. 11 years later, can we PLEASE get a movie/tv adaptation, PLEASE?!
@the band and every single movie production brand: please, I am BEGGING--
My only request, don't let the Game of Thrones directors anywhere near it.
@@akajesusx In their defense, the show when it was based off of the books was actually a pretty good show. The last couple seasons shit the bed. So let Claudio finish NWFT and THEN they can be added to the list. But they definitely wouldn't be my first pick, that much is obvious!
The lesson we take from the Game of Thrones debacle is that stories work best in the medium in which they were originally conceived. An Amory Wars TV show isn't necessarily a bad idea, but I think the story would lose a lot for being transcoded out of its current, hugely inventive multimedia setting.
Stare into it long enough and the worlds secrets will unfold before you.
Such an underated song
Who's here in 2023? Press like button
Long live Coheed
2024
I’m here every year lol
Every day
Since the music videos epicness cannot be explained into words, I will just say now that the homeless man looks like Claudio's grandfather.😄
Song would have so sick in Avengers, when the dark elves start pouring outa the vortex!
They should save it for the last movie. Fighting Thanos.
Andrew Levesque imo, maybe an instrumental version. I couldn't quite connect this song to an Avengers music video
Andrew Levesque although, this fit well Starfox Assault; during end credits. 😁
Chitauri* not Dark Elves. Common mistake though
lets just get an amory wars movie series instead amirite!
oh, forsure. 1.2 million views is super underrated. not to mention when i saw them last weekend the congress theater was more packed than ive ever seen it.
And do it over and over. Not one song disliked. I'm with you xD
Where the heck is The Amory wars movie?!?!
Or the Year of the Black Rainbow movie?
i wanna see the "Children of the Fence " Saga it oculd reach marvel universe levels
In production limbo
UnitedWeStandDividedWeFall Claudio wants to see a tv series. They’re also working on a toy line.
@@jacoobyslaps yeah, but how long did Ryan Reynolds work on making Deadpool come to the big screen. I'm just being realistic. I would love to see it on Netflix or Showtime where the proper money can be put behind it
UnitedWeStandDividedWeFall I’m not saying it’ll be soon. It likely won’t happen at all.
First time seeing this video. I love how they actually incorporated the fact that our solar system was once Star VII of the Keywork and Sector 12 of the Fence (zooms out of the setting of the video, clearly shows Saturn on the zoomout, full zoom reveals the Fence/Keywork).
Almost the 11 year anniversary of this video!
Classic
Wowzers. Fantastic video, heard the songs hundreds of times, hadn't actually seen the video. Very cool.
Freakn awesome like always
99% sure that the dude at 0:57 is Peter David, comic book writer and co-author of the Year of the Black Rainbow novel.
I like how he's reading Amory Wars here
If this is how the world ends...then damn. I would love it. It looks so...so...pretty?
+Lilith Munster (Baby Bat) Fuck that. I've had a dream exactly like this, where planets are gravitating towards Earth. Impending doom.
Darth Nihilus cool cool
Cool cool
+Darth Nihilus that's heavens fence maaannn
the world isn't ending... The earth is entering the fence and joining the keywork.
I have no idea if it was written this way, but if you play with the punctuation on the last three lines, it makes the song even more powerful.
Here we are, Juggernaut.
Here, we are Juggernaut.
We are Juggernaut.
they are monsters live! one of the best live shows ive been to
First time hearing them? Coheed has some other songs that blow this away. Check out Domino the Destitute, it is incredible.
Good luck with your band as well. I have been watching some of your videos and I like the direction you are going in.

they should end sets with this song
Just saw them play in Nashville. They didn't play this song. It was a great show, but I really did want them to play it.
L Vinson as much as I love Welcome Home I think it's time they retired it
That is the song they finished the show with

That feel when you count the planets and stars at the end, so satisfying.
saw CoCa at the tabernacle the other day! first time ever seeing them, and i was like 3-4 rows away from them...and i must say its the best experience i've ever had my entire life. They put on SUCH an amazing job at the concert.

That moment when you play a song in support of a cosmic juggernaut, and it shows up to end the world.
This what I will be listening to in the last days...what a way to disengauge!!!!!! #1
The vocal melody in the final chorus is incredible
Anyone else notice the 33 on the jersey of one of the students, lol Coheed easter egg

+DevTheBigManUno no kidding!
Another one is the guy reading the Amory Wars comic!
I love how moat people dont realize that at least one song on every album has something to do with the story in Claudio's Armory Wars Comics. there so good
+PatchesDaPanda almost all of the songs relate to the comics or the novel. even no world for tomorrow is part of the story it just didn't get a comic book.
Don't you mean all songs
All the songs except their new album “Colour before the sun.” They wrote that one out as non-conceptual.
Literally, every song from every record save The Color Before The Sun.
This song takes on new meaning for me now that we are in the age of Trump.
This is not YOUR PLACE. This is not YOUR PLAYGROUND, it's MY HEART.

hah, was just about to post the same thing, until i read this comment.
Claudio Sanchez writes it. Of course he was it's gonna be on here! c:
***** Yeah, but the video is clearly set within Heaven's Fence, watch the final zoomout. There's no way Claudio's (the real guy) work would exist within itself, especially before Sector 12/Star VII split off and became us.
