I love that Coheed's acoustic versions are never just them playing a song the exact same way as if they had electric guitars. They're their own beautifully composed versions.
Album version: Heart-wrenching story filled with inquiring sadness and an intense, burning feeling of positive change, even at a large cost. Acoustic version: Feeling like looking back at the past and regretting it, but letting it slowly slip through your fingers as you reluctantly move on with your life.
Of all the songs that I thought would have sounded good as an acoustic version, I never would have guessed that "Here we are Juggernaut" would have been among them. Very impressed!
Is Claudio always pitch perfect? No. Does his voice get tired? Of course it does. But one thing is absolutely certain. Claudio has emotion and soul in his voice, and that'll never change. A brilliant performance, I never thought I'd hear this song go acoustic, and it's beautiful.
I didnt expect this song to make me cry after listening to the album version for YEARS. Here I am, crying like a baby over it in 2019. Cannot believe this is my first time hearing this version, I'm in awe.
They have one actually! it's called Rhapsody Originals: Coheed and Cambria. Its "Favor House", "Feathers", "Running Free" and "Welcome Home". Very good stuff.
This is the most beautiful acoustic, love the original as well but this hits so many feels, ended a five year relationship yesterday and discovered this the same day, thanks Claudio!
you know what that non normal sound is?....passion...hurt...love...depression...hapiness.. and every other emotion you have ever felt in your heart all in one...stick with your music if you dont like it...us coheed fans would appreciate it...thanks... p.s. HIS VOICE IS FUCKIN BEAUTIFUL!! and im a man saying this about another man.... but god damnit i love it
I found this years ago but still come back to this video every few months because its one of the most beautiful acoustic versions of any song I've heard. This song has always reminded me of those days early into my sobriety back in 2014, after battling drug addiction for a decade. As powerful as the original sounds, the mournful sound of this version fits the emotions I was feeling at the time, mourning all the life I felt I had wasted away. Ugh, its just perfect. Pack it up boys, you'll never find a more beautiful acoustic cover than this.
My favorite thing about this version is when his voice cracks. I dont know if its something he does on purpose or if it just happens but its a perfect fit for the song. I really dont think its overstating things to say Claudio is one of the best singer/songwriters there has ever been, he's in a class all his own.
@@CarlosGonzalez-ex9cd No, it's 100% an accident from a trained professional but if you want to interpret it like a high school English teacher then go ahead lol

And let this be a lesson to how much an arrangement is fundamental to the feelings a song imparts on its listeners. The regular version is burning, intense, heavy-hitting, about having to make a tough choice in the nick of time. The acoustic one feels like past regrets, melancholy, about how things should be different from what they actually are. Coheed are masters at their craft. One of the greatest bands in the history of rock and roll music!
This feels like this is how it was meant to be played from the beginning... Lyrics match the music movements perfectly...... Such an under appreciated band.
I never though Here we are Juggernaut could sound so beautiful and blow my mind at the same time. Chills literally ran up my spine listening to this and that has ever only happened to me once before
I really love how their look has really changed with their music and the times. This band is seriously the best thing to ever grace my ears. And I can't wait for the new album. See you in Gainsville!!!!

This performance is so special. Even though Claudio's voice is obviously tired he still just lets everything go and puts his all into the song. Amazing!
This sends shivers down my spine! He sings with alot of passion and it just goes that extra mile its just a masterpiece there not alot of words that can desceibe this

You know whats crazy though? Some of their tracks on YOTBR are decent...but when they do them acoustic is a emotional rollercoaster ride...God I love them so much. And I agree on the Micheal and Chris part, very glad to have them aboard. (Excuse the spelling errors, =P)
@humminamp I know his voice has faded over the years, he can go no where near as high as he used to, but I for one still love his voice, it's still unique, which is why I fell in love with coheed. They are constantly evolving as well, it amazes me how many ideas they have, and they're songs are always different. Incredibly underrated
I saw the title and the acoustic guitar and immediately though "Nah..." then the song started... I don't think I want to listen to the album version anymore o.o
seriously, i stumbled upon coheed in random youtube suggestions then spent months drinking up all their live stuff, one day I realized 'hey i should maybe try their actual albums?" and then I did and thought "argh why are the producers/mixers afraid to let claudio sing?"

Coheed should do a live acoustic ep!
A whole album in acoustic version. :)
Neverender Tour acoustic. I could die happy after that.
First time I saw Coheed (Keeping Secrets tour) they did an acoustic set before their electric set. Also got to meet them in the alley. Epic day!
does the kerrang cd not count as a live acoustic ep then??....considering ...it's..live....acoustic........and an ep ..........:D

This is how to translate a song to acoustic.
Claudio writes his songs like this first then changes them to electric. That's why it sounds so good.
