Dude I'm a huge AMG fan and I always have done my own work. I love your channel because people always think a Benz is so expensive to own. But if you are doing your own work they are really reasonable to own. I have said it before but you and Tavarish are my favorite channels you guy's are awesome keep up the good work I hope your channel blows up like his has been doing.
I've being subscribed for a while now and I can safely say that it was a great decision. Video after video keeps us interested and so worth watching. Amazing how you can give us so much information without making a mistake talking, in one cut doesn't even look like you have a script but at the same time you look very prepared. Keep at it, you are very talented.
Luckily for you, the E63 aftermarket bumper appears to fit quite nicely. For whatever reason, with the E39-generation BMW's, the M5 bumper replicas never fit right, which is why I'm saving up to buy an OE one. At least the OE M5 bumper is *only* like $550 new.
The E55 Is looking great. Thanks for sharing. When it comes to body parts, I always buy high quality used genuine parts and get them painted to match the car. The price usually is almost same as as new aftermarket parts. Looking forward to seeing more videos.
Alaa Sibai AMG oem parts are insane I went to dealer to see how much the trim would cost on the rear bumper and for the price I could almost buy two of these Taiwan bumpers
I did this mod to my car as well, big difference in styling. I’ve seen some fit really bad were there are big gaps were the bumper meets the headlights and the bumper is too short your heat exchanger sticks out from the bottom. Always better to research like you did.
You should do a video on the C55 and put the CLK63 bumper on it! I’ve been thinking about doing that to my C55. Since the C55 has the W209 front end on it, it fits with some modification I believe
Those things make insane power with very simple mods. I'd love to do an s65 with catless downpipes, dual 3" exhaust, killer chiller, McLaren shift solenoids, 3k stall converter, a good tune and some really really sticky tires.
Hey Alex! I just busted my E55 front bumper on an HOV lane marker the other day and I can’t decide if I want to go with the conversion or just fix it. The facelift makes it way more aggressive and ‘newer’ looking but I like the understated look of the E55 and the fact that it just looks like any other old E class to most people. Even after I do the long tube headers and fuel/intake upgrades, I plan on keeping the stock intakes, resonator and mufflers to keep it stealthy for LEOs and in the good graces of my neighbors. 😂 I have some other paint work I have been putting off and I need to pull the front bumper to do some cooling upgrades and the hood and rear bumper were painted badly at some point in the cars life so I am leaning towards just repairing the stock one and spend the extra towards paint work on the other panels. I did quite a bit of paint correction on the rest of the car (thanks to your videos) and it looks really good for its age but the rock chips have taken their toll and there is only so much you can do with touch up paint and the car really deserves to look perfect again for its next stage in life with me into my golden years. 😂 Thanks for the great content Alex!
Great video! I agree 100% - not all aftermarket is created equal. In the past when I had to go for aftermarket, I looked for CAPA certified parts. I recently purchased two bumpers for my project car. I found a few used ones eBay but they were damaged. I lucked out and bought new ones from local BMW dealer discounted which was about 150 or so more expensive than the used ones but worth it for me to have new OEM.
Great video Alex, I love your E55 it looks so good! I'd love to get one but I do 25 thousand miles a year and over here in the UK fuel cost an absolute fortune!!
I loved the guest appearance by your mechanic cockroach in the background at 1.10! I found it quite funny when you mentioned your buddy, Sam, as your accents and voices could almost be interchangeable on both sets of videos!
I disagree. I think it's smarter to get a used bumper on EBay, have it repainted and fixed so the fitment/quality issue is perfect. In all the years that I've bought aftermarket parts, they have always and I mean always been more of a headache than the cost savings delivered. What good is a price on a cheaper unit when it doesn't hold up, takes hours and hours of trimming to get it to fit perfect(which it never does) and just isn't as good quality wise as the OEM. I would never buy a new OEM but rather as mentioned above go used and repair/paint it. Then you know it will fit perfectly with zero issues. Btw, I love the music that was playing in your video during reassembly. Name of song and artist?
OEM is always the way to go if available, Ty Just refinish it. Often times aftermarket parts don’t fit resulting in you having to cut and/or sand alot and doesn’t last as long. Paying a little extra for OEM is still cheaper than buying an aftermarket part twice over since they’re usually not as durable all around…in my experience
LegitStreetCars maybe this wasn't an issue for your bumper cover, but mine had flashing still attached to the molding around the holes of the vents (the diagonal slits). Looked like excess from the manufacturer. Anyways, I was so excited to get them painted I didn't realize it and didn't sand them down. Also, the paint shop didn't sand them either, but I guess that's what you get with a Maaco paint job 😂😒🙄
LegitStreetCars Your content has really helped educate me on the car and the pros definitely outweigh the cons. I own an E92 M3, so I am going to daily the E55. But, I may actually use the E55 as my weekend car since it’s such a unicorn. Keep up the great work brother!
Damn why cant I have an AMG Nowww Shit man what the hell bro there is nothing like an AMG I feel restless You sir are having the time of your life your knowledge is priceless. Im gratefull on subing to your channel . ty again for your knowledge
Mathew Fullerton Yes its required here. Ive been driving cars around with no front license plate for almost 20 years now and have only gotten like 3 tickets. I'd rather pay them then junk up the front of my car
Alex, I would love if you could do a suspension component check video for the w211. My E500 wagon has had a major weight shifting clunk for a while and I believe it's the tierod ends.
Well done mate, good video, excellent description and detail, I may go fir a cheapo with the additional parts as you listed as I don't fancy paying the £2000. Cheers
I put the same bumper together today. I used the original parking sensor holders by hot gluing them in place. How did you overcome the sensor issue? I also used a glue to fix the side brackets and held them in place with a few hot glue spots to hold it together while the glue dries. It's turned out really well.
Once again, great video, invaluable information. One of the things which sets you apart at least in my mind is your willingness to share real world costs and comparisons. Excellent video!
What did you do with the hanging side marker light? I have the same bumper on my E55 and the lights are just dangling behind the bumper. Previous owner didn't secure them
Hi Alex, great vids , question do you know where and which fuse is used for the command screen and unit as mine has gone blank after it was battery boosted. Thanks Andy
Never liked the facelift. MB was lazy. They made a pointy bumper on a round car. It doesn't match. And the mirrors were atrocious as well, sticking up and out with an odd shape. Everyone "likes" it because they think it makes their e55 look "newer", but it looks like a mismatched hack job. I bet if the pointy bumper was on the E55 originally, and the rounded one came later on the E63, everyone would want the round one. Ever read Dr. Suess's sneeches on the beaches?
Question: w203 owner, fright that I may break wheels loose commuting wifey. Would upgrade to 08 e350 (w211?) assuage these concerns? Must Service A today/tomorrow, Service B complete. Not Nos person.
Still trying to figure out how I want to do my E... I want it to look like an E63 (sans badging) and also want to give it a bit more pep...and a voice (probably just a muffler delete or some nice pipes cuz according to TH-cam vids, it sounds niiice) I basically want the car to look a tad newer. I'll probably never sell it, built to last and all. But, i've said all that to ask about bumper fitment. You had to "help" yours fit because of an intercooler or so, but would 06-09 parts fit an 03-05 ?I may or may not get the mirrors, but with the wrap and blacking out certain things, it'll look pretty sweet Anyway, love your vids! hope you continue to make more for those of us who are in need of assistance
What body shop did you use because I'm having problems finding a body shop that will fix a crack or two that I have in my bumper they want me to get a new one which is ridiculous
Hi, big fan. Your videos are awesome. I have w211 2007 fully loaded but it didn't come with the push start on the transmission knob. Os there a way to add this feature? What would be the parts and if you make a video would be great because it is not exist on TH-cam.
I also want to make facelift for my 2003 w211 but i want to replace all parts that needs to facelift Like folding mirrors, headlights and taillights, is it possible to make?? Thanks
Hi, I love the wheels you choose for your black E55 sedan, I have the 06 E55 same w211 I love to know where you purchase it . I like to stay with the 18”.
Taiwan is a great place to get parts - many OE providers get there parts from Taiwan (including German/Euro makes) and I find their parts to be consistent. China is a lot more diverse in quality... Taiwan is very consistent.
Hi, sorry, my english is bad and I cant understand all english talk from video. I have got a w211 no restyling. Can I install a restyling bumper ?? Plug and play or I need made some modifications? Thanks!
Hey can you let me know best option for conversions bumper? I just got an e55 and need the e63 bumper but don’t know what website/ eBay account/ company to trust
Should I add a lip?
no need for that, but somehow the star on the hood is missing...
It's a no to the lip for me

I love the fact that these guys take the time to do their own repairs, not just empty 'look at my sweet car' content.

LegitStreetCars Haha I actually laughed. out loud seeing it!
I'm happy you noticed them too though! 😂

Burn out for no reason?
Because the AMG’s are awesome and it looks cool!
Another great video Alex. I'm consistently impressed by how natural of a host and narrator you are. Keep up the great content.
Looks fantastic, Alex! Truly a sweet ride after all you've done to it.
Gotta love the "Random Burnout For No Reason At All" at 11:29!
Your smile when you put the grill on :)
Happy for you bro
Video right on time. My E63 bumper should be in today
Burn outs for no reason ? The AMG life has chosen you son!
Your E55 is officially one of my dream cars...
Go make it a reality. They cost as much as a very used Accord now days.
I definitely could make a case for it.
I've been watching for a while. Keep up the great work!
I'd love to see a twin turbo v12 amg build now!
Those things make insane power with very simple mods. I'd love to do an s65 with catless downpipes, dual 3" exhaust, killer chiller, McLaren shift solenoids, 3k stall converter, a good tune and some really really sticky tires.
E63 bumper looks nice but, you need the star back...
AKars Its on order
Perfect, love your videos...greetings of a big fan from germany :)
Absolutely lovely E63 look on that beast. Nicely done!

I'd paint the chrome trim on the bumper black and also the chrome bezels black for the fog lights. I did a few videos for my W204
Amazing bumper kit, installed this on my W211. Hoping you filed the cast flashings in the vents (I call them gills) on the sides.
Riley S I did not. Can you explain?

Just didn't want to spend the money. I like it too though.
I'm on the hunt for a C55 replacement bumper cover...

You sir are having the time of your life
your knowledge is priceless.
Im gratefull on subing to your channel .
ty again for your knowledge
I love to see restored cars :)
Why did you want the license bracket holes filled in? Aren't you required to have a front plate in Illinois?
Mathew Fullerton Yes its required here. Ive been driving cars around with no front license plate for almost 20 years now and have only gotten like 3 tickets. I'd rather pay them then junk up the front of my car
LegitStreetCars haha gambling for esthetics :)
The Chemical Brothers products for the paint, works great! Looks great!!!
Great video. May need an exterminator, though. Check out 1:12 to 1:20. Nice roach. Thanks for the great MB knowledge!
Maybe a black matte finish on the grill? Is that rise or will it work? ;P
install looks great to me! You do good work.
Alex, I would love if you could do a suspension component check video for the w211. My E500 wagon has had a major weight shifting clunk for a while and I believe it's the tierod ends.
I’m looking to upgrade my 09 Bumper to the E63 oem. Yours looks amazing

Looks great! This video is tempting me to sell the C55 for an E55...
did you have to glue the side pieces on the sides near the tires
Lol at the picture of Sam

What is that you have done to those headlights? Is that diy or can you buy those dark optic headlights somewhere?
Hi Alex, great vids , question do you know where and which fuse is used for the command screen and unit as mine has gone blank after it was battery boosted. Thanks Andy
Looks beast Alex! Nice work mate
I would love to know where you sent those bumpers to for that great value you received for a repaint and Bondo work on your front bumper cover
Taiwan parts are actually pretty good. The factories there have much better quality control and safety than most of the ones in China.

What body shop did you use for the c55 bumper?
that is, the front defense of the w211 2007 works for the 2004 models?
You think this conversion would work with an 03 E320 or E500? Similar body
Unique Transition Yes it would
LegitStreetCars thanks. Love your vids!
Did anyone else see that bug walk across the screen at 1:12, right to left

What is that mini jail looking building across the street
Tomasz Dominikowski Just my neighbors house
I bought the same kit. But it didn't come with the bonnet grille. Is it a normal E63 bonnet grille?
Hi, big fan. Your videos are awesome. I have w211 2007 fully loaded but it didn't come with the push start on the transmission knob. Os there a way to add this feature? What would be the parts and if you make a video would be great because it is not exist on TH-cam.
Quick question, I really looking at either the e55, cl55, or the 2007 e63. What are your thoughts with the e63
Looks great!!

For what it worth, I personally like the "random burnout[s] for no reason..."

Yea, totally sucks.
Can this kit be done to a 2003 e-320??
Hey can you let me know best option for conversions bumper? I just got an e55 and need the e63 bumper but don’t know what website/ eBay account/ company to trust
