I don't understand why people were laughing when Anne said Tom was a much better actor than people give him credit for. He is a fucking amazing actor and he deserves so much more credit than he gets. Simple minded people can't separate his personal life with his professional life. Tom brings every character he plays to a life of its own. Only the truly gifted actors can make you forget the actor playing a character and see the character as a real person and Tom is one of those actors.

Queen of the Damned is combination of the Vampire Lestat and Queen of the Damned novels. It's the closest we've gotten, and I hope they rectify that someday

Well Brad hated the movie because it was stressful to make - as he said. All the make-up stuff, the contacts lents and filming all time at night was just too much for him at the time. Anyway he portrayed the character very well and his performance was magnificent. Plus, as Kirsten and Tom said, he was kind with all the cast, in particular with Dunst who was very very young at the time. Sorry for the mistakes but I'm not a native speaker.😊
One of the things I would´ve loved to see was Tom Cruise as Lestat becoming a rock star, unfortunately Warner kept on making the wrong decisions with this franchise. Hopefully the upcoming TV Series will do justice to the books.
I JUST finished Prince Lestat...loved it, of course. Broke my heart with Maharet, but the story played out extremely well. Makes me hungry for a proper sequel to Interview with the Vampire movie

Make "The Vampire Lestat" as it is Lestat's answer to Louis' "Interview with the Vampire"....because if you recall, Lestat finds out about the interview when he sees the book on a table and is like WTF Louis thats not exactly how it all went down.... It was just announced recently that AMC, the network behind such hits as "The Walking Dead" & "Breaking Bad" will readapt "Interview With A Vampire" into an eight episode first season of a TV Show slated to come out sometime next year. Both Anne Rice & her son Christopher will serve as executive producers on the project.
I think one of the main things would be to acquisition Neil Jordan to take care of the Director role again. Much like Byzantium....he just 'gets' the painting that needs the colours.

Hearing backstage stories about how hard Tom works on each role just makes me admire him even more. He seems like a guy who would never rest on his talent alone. I agree Brad is starting to fade, which is sad because he is also a great actor. I hope he can bounce back. If Tom can bounce back from the horrible time he went through in the early 2000s where so many people started to unfairly hate Tom, Brad can bounce back too.

If Universal does produce the Vampire Chronicles as a movie franchise, can they PLEASE redo The Queen of the Damned? The first movie version was so god awful it was like a huge slap in the face to Anne Rice fans everywhere. It was like the director flipped through the book, picked bits and pieces of it he liked, and then used those pieces as toilet paper.
