She is highly underrated. Her command of the English language is second to none. The ways she describes the simplest of scenarios is really quite remarkable. Her writing style is truly inspirational and its a real pleasure to digest her type of story telling. A true giant of modern literature. Mark me as a true fan of her work.
Somebody came up to me 2 weeks ago in the Pullman, WA walmart claiming to be her while I was sitting on a bench waiting for my friends. She told me her name was anne rice and that she wrote vampire novels, she claimed to be 70 years old. I had never read anne rice books or seen photos of her before at the time, all around a very strange experience especially after finding out she died in 2021
Beautiful woman with a brilliant mind. We will miss you so very much Anne Rice. Thank you for writing such wonderful stories. The world surely lost an eccentric ray of sunshine 💔
Is it just me, or is Anne Rice's voice just really relaxing to listen to? Anyways, great video with a great author, currently reading "The Vampire Lestat."
you will be missed forever, Anne. your legacy, your literary output, your concepts, they lay the foundation for everything that came after. and even though those will be highly regarded for centuries to come, it's this warm person, this warm human being encouraging others to pursue their passion for writing and literature-completely free of restraints- is what I'll carry with me forever. Long Live Lady Anne. you were one in a million.
I never ever get tired of listening to this lady speak bout her life and craft ... More Vampire Chronicles ... More Wolf Gift books ... Just more Anne Rice !
I love that you said you have to force yourself to write sometimes. I think it's easy to assume that people can only create something wonderful if they have some miraculous moment of inspiration. You brought it to a very real place of work and will, which I think can really benefit people who want to create. Thank you, Anne! Love you always! ❤
ah RIP dear Anne... I have loved her and her characters since early teenage years and lived in her worlds for so long. I followed her for over a decade on facebook and her communication with fans and community was always amazing. She is one of definitive writers of 20th and 21st century, but more than anything she was such unique special person. I wish I had a chance to meet her :(
I'm a screenwriter and I often utilize these wonderful vignettes of camaraderie as a doorway into the pages of my day. Thank you so much for your kindness and inspiration!
I love how down to earth you are. So many successful authors act like they're above everyone.. and you're so not like that and I love it and gives me hope for my own career.
First of all, I have huge respect for Anne. Second of all, years ago, I wrote to her and she responded. She's a kind, respectable woman. Thirdly, because of her books I felt the confidence to write, and published 6 books in a series for kids. Watching this video, I am shocked at how similar Anne's writing process is to my own. I had no idea. But, in her, I felt a kindred spirit. Much love, Anne!
I've been watching some of her interviews/livestreams for a few weeks now almost every evening I come home from work. Her voice is so relaxing and she seems very intelligent. I love listening to her and I hope she continues to write
People of the page. I feel so special now and i'm not even being sarcastic. Love Anne Rice's versatility and her ability to tell many different types of stories.
I can't believe that I've bern on facebook for 6 years and didn't know that you are. You are my absolute favorite author. I have always longed for a continuation of Claudia's story. I'm sure she is still around , somewhere. Thank you for so many hours of reading pleasure.
This video has vastly changed my impression of Anne Rice. I've read probably 3 of her books, put down another 3 or 4. Thank you very much for this, so valuable in several ways. I don' t know how she died.
Your support for indie authors is such a breath of fresh air coming from someone so successful in traditional publishing You are incredible, Anne. Watching these videos always makes me get up and write. They give that itch
Until I read your books I did not realize how the small details, the paths and places could be assimilated as a whole universe, lost in your lines I found a way and other eyes to see the world! Thank you!
RIP, Anne Rice; thank you so much for the many different works you've given us (particularly Prince Lestat and the Realms of Atlantis, for me a combination of 2 of my favorite subjects).
Thank you so much for sharing this here in TH-cam!! I don't have a Facebook, so I couldn't get access to these wonderful videos if it weren't for you uploading them here. THANK YOU! And please keep sharing such incredibly interesting things with us!
I'm a woman about your age Anne and I've been captivated by Lestat all these years. Even though I love the Vampire Chronicles my favourite is "Cry to Heaven"
All of your books are so wonderfully entertaining that I have read all of them multiple times...I love revisiting them after several years...kind of like old friends.
Ms. Rice. You are awesome. I do wish I had caught the live chat when it was happening. But regardless I am estatic to be able to watch it at all. And Thank you for your words of wisdom. :)
what an amazing human. shes so smart and well spoken. doesnt seem condescending or rude or just a mean spirited person at all. im so sad shes gone. but im so happy she left an amazing legacy and so many opportunities to hear her advice and talk about so many things. thank you so much anne. i miss you
4:21 basically what she’s saying is similar to Something Toni Morrison said. Toni Morrison said “write the book you wanna read”. So I guess editors edit the book they want to read.
Anne you are my most cherished Author. I started reading your novels about 15 yrs ago. Some I’ve reread 2 or 3 times and every time I do it’s like reading them again for the 1st time...Thank you! Through your writing I am transported to your world’s. So much so that I actually feel like I know and have personal relationships with some of my favorite characters while reading one of your novels .
I love you Anne Rice! I've been a huge fan since I was a teenager. I love your work. I think it's awesome that you give so much positive advice to authors
It’s such a shame that you don’t have as much subscribers as you should since you’re such and influential writer. Your advice is GOLD! Thank you. It is my sincerest wish that in a couple years time I may be able to send you a copy of my (hopefully published by then) book as thanks.
I love your passion and honesty And the love you show towards your fans Your word's are a inspiration to me Thank you for all the content you've given to the world
This video played by itself. Didnt notice it was Anne Rice. When she said she wanted to finish a new Lestat book by 2018 i googled to see if it came out. Found out she passed away just last year☹️ She is so vibrsnt here and full of energy, i could just picture her working on something right now as i watched the video
You're so incredible Anne, thank you for being an inspiration to me as a writer, specially when I started writing about vampires two years ago. I think it's too much to hope that you will read it someday, when I publish it, but I can still dream hahaha Brazil loves you
Enjoyed your answers so much. I think a lot like you so I hope that's a good sign that someday my book will be finished and published. Right now I just care about being able to type "THE END".
I loved the resurrection of Armand so much! 🥰 So happy to hear her talk about this. She was such a brilliant writer and amazing influence on my life. Really wish I could thank her in person but perhaps she knows! ❤
This is a wonderful video. The clarity of the picture is superb and the setting certainly compliments her accomplishments as not only a book and novel author, but as a researcher who comprehends the intricacies of linguistics as it pertains to many forms of communication. I've heard the term 'outline' mentioned here several times. As one who also does research I have pioneered the field of 3-D CAD authorship in such a way where a reader can hold a very insightful outline in their hand. Imagine Anne Rice lifting up the word or name [Rich] in such a way where we can see a human like profile or outline with the features of a [brow, eye, and nose]. Now know that this very same outline or survey actually spells the namesake of Rich in an ancient language that is still used today by as many as 422 million speakers. Now also imagine that this [Rich profile] is also the basis of the astronomical array of many of out planets rivers and streams, political surveys of states and countries, and even the Hydra constellation itself! Now that's a mighty wand for Anne but trust me she can command it and use it wisely. In mathematics this 'outline' that is being discussed can be used by medical sciences to target and isolate regions as such on a molecular blood level. Now that's a type of غنی Резистентност REED that I have to share here in the comments. An enrichment ruler who through linguistics is very very old and yet new again in these times of accelerated technology.
Danke Maus. Deine Frauke
I'm impressed that you are open-minded about Graham Hancock's books. By the way, not being able to get myself started has kept me at square one. Your stuff started me writing in the first place.
I am having some major issues editing! It is taking more time and I need motivation to edit more than write! I can write all day but I do not like to edit and no one around me will just read a page or two ... so I accept that ... I find more support from publishers

RIP Anne Rice - this is one of my favourite interviews that I watch whenever I need encouragement as a writer
Agreed.
Just think how much longer she would have been around had she not taken the vaccine.
