One thing I gotta give the show mild props for is that they reversed the "Nerdy Smart Asian" and "Dumb Blonde" stereotypes
Also, in most shows, even now, popular kids are White but in the first episode itself we see mix of races in the popular group.

Ok but like honestly I loved London and Mr. Mosbey’s relationship, he was more of a father to her than her real father.
Right? I loved it, too! Their moments and her moments with Maddie were my favorite! I normally don't like the "(Stupid) Rich Girl" character, but London was just so innocent and playful, and her not actually being mean made her such a joy to be around. She is a brat in the toddler who doesn't want to eat their vegetables way, not the vindictive and mean 9yo way.

The Sprouse twins have such a cool story. They took a break from work after Suite Life to study and graduate from college, survived a late 2000s Disney without starting a singing career, and were the producers of their show by the end, being the ones to decide not to go on when Disney pressured them to do stuff they didn’t agree with. They also have the best twitter conversations
I heard they had some control over the show at the end and wanted to do another spin off but Disney wasn't going for it.
It was said that they were supposed to have another spin off with them in college but Disney wouldn’t give them all creative control.
I believe the exact story is they wanted to do a spinoff that would secure a career for people who wanted to stay on the show, where they passed the torch to a new kid living in the Boston Tipton hotel and they wanted to be exec producers. Disney said "let's move it to Miami, axe the producer credit, and bring in Selena Gomez" and then Dylan and/or Cole were like "let's not" and that's how it went.

I won't be surprised if there is a whole bunch of comments that say the same thing since a lot of people write their comment before reading the rest. Also, there are two stereotypes of blonds that we always see; either they'll be portrayed as the "dumb blonde" or they'll be the "brainy blonde." So, they're still portraying a blonde stereotype with Maddie, btw.

One of my favorite behind the scenes things about this show is the actress who played the mom was pregnant in one of the latter seasons and instead of trying to hide it or write it into the show (they decided against this cause apparently it would have ruined the dynamic or something) everyone just said fuck it and did literally nothing to conceal the fact she was randomly like 5 months pregnant. And like you’d think the idea would be “oh maybe people will just think she put on a few pounds” but no, there’s a couple scenes where she’s holding and rubbing her belly like a pregnant lady would. I don’t fully blame the actress cause it’s probably like force of habit or something, I just love how nobody gave a single fuck!

@Snow-xd4rv According to the wiki, she was pregnant in 2007 (which would have been around season 3). The wiki confirms she was seen putting her hand on her stomach, but it also says her bump was gone by the end of the series. This would have been in her brown hair phase.

Especially in the birthday party episode in season 2 where she was very rude to London and not letting Zach and Cody go to the party they wanted to. She also did other things like lie to London in Band in Boston because she didn't want her to sing

She's frustrated because London threw her own expensive and over-the-top birthday party a week before. It was Maddie's actual birthday and yet no one would come because of the glitz and glamour London promised. That's selfish and being a bad friend. She lied because London basically blackmailed her into letting her sing even though she can't. Both girls have moments where they arent the best characters but imo London is worse.
Fun fact- Dylan Sprouse is the (English) voice actor for Yozora in Kingdom Hearts RE Mind, and hearing Dylan Sprouse insult you while you fail over and over and he steals your potions and kills you with lasers is low key kind of amazing. ALSO, Alyson Stoner from this show is the voice of Kairi in Kingdom Hearts III and is the only voice actor I’ve ever personally liked as the character.

I agree that the whole "waiting a long time to text back" is often very obvious for what it is, especially when you know that the person likes you (ie, it's clear that the person is trying too hard not to look desperate). In truth though I sometimes don't text back straight away just because I'm not in the mood to be social and I feel that texting back immediately will lead to a conversation I wouldn't be able to get out of. (Not that I don't like the person, sometimes I just don't feel like being social).

Yeah it’s funny you say that. Years ago, they went off the map after suite life on deck so I was wondering what happened to them. Nobody spoke about them anymore even tmz did an article on them saying they were broke for working at a restaurant during college. I always admired how they kept their focus on school. It’s also nice to see them back in the spotlight because it’s hard to do that after you leave Hollywood

suite life is a normal kind of weird. it slots in perfectly with the other disney channel shows about some preteen/teen kids in an unusual living situation where every episode typically focuses around their struggles with growing up and/or the intersection between those challenges and their unique living situation. that might be a bit of a stretch? but hannah montana lived as a pop star double life, that's so raven gave the titular character psychic visions and wizards of waverly place had a family of kids that could use magic. but all of them were about how those more fantastical situations clashed with the kids' challenges with friends school relationships etc. while suite life is the most mundane, I think there's something along the same line with how all of the characters are working and living in the same place. some really weird conflicts of interest and relationship dynamics with the fact that many of the characters do genuinely disruptive things that might cause them to get fired in a real job but because they're a cast of characters the status quo is usually preserved.
I know he made this video about the first episode,but I wish he mentioned something about the high school musical episode suite life made,the whole ashley tisdale and sharpay thing. I would like to see what alex has to say about that,haha
