    FINALLY some good effing stabs! There is zero reason we had such a lack of innovation and effort when it came to stabs in this hobby. I cannot wait for these to restock!

    Super hyped for these to come to more vendors and restock, my stabs are just a sad cry for help, never gotten any durock v2 spacebar to sound decent. I wonder how these will compare to ink v2 stabilizers though, i have some and their almost perfect with just some dielectric grease, but not 100% perfect, some of the 2u wires are slightly ticking the tiniest bit. Glad theres finally being innovation in stabs, also i really hope durock does something about this to compete, that'd be super interesting.
    now we gotta somehow make wireless stabs

    I did the holee mod with lube on my stock keychron k2v2 stabs and it sounds great tbh. The holee mod is pretty good.

    It seems like your wires/metal bars are bent or something in all of the demos since there is always a little rattling when you touch them. My stabs usually rattle because of that but not the lube or the holee mod. As soon as I fix them, they sound full.

    why aren't companies making actual properly designed stabs like AE does, its a really simple and superior design, its beyond me

    Canonkeys says that these were optimized for GMK set tolerances. So they may not fit all caps. How are these on ePBT sets?

    • @Nextrift
      @Nextrift  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unfortunately we don't have any ePBT sets to try, but they do fit GMK sets (very snugly), CRP, and the Keychron Q1's stock caps.

    I def need to pick some up on the next restock. These seem promising. How are the tolerances on other keycap types other than GMK?

    • @Nextrift
      @Nextrift  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      From what we've gathered, both GMK and CRP sets work fine with the Staebies. Our GMK Laser set fits a bit too tight though; we had to give it a good push to sit on the stabs properly.

    how good is the wire balancing stock?

    • @Nextrift
      @Nextrift  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      About as straight as the wires of Durock V2 and C3 stabilisers. They still sit flush on a flat surface, though they do tick a little when we tap on either ends of the wires.

    I only have try Nk stabs and c3. Let me tell you stay away of c3 yeah look great with the color and all that but is cheap plastic screw thread always the wire pop out when taking out keycap. I even take them out and installed back the Nk stabs.

    Am I missing something? What are you even comparing? Some are modded to the tits while some are completely stock. Some are in built boards while some are just pcb + plate without even any switches in. How is this helpful?

    • @regenosis
      @regenosis 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I thought the same thing too. pcb+plate stab tests canNOT compare to built board tests. They sound NOTHING alike. Either compare them all with bare pcb+plate or all in a fully built board. The stabs probably are amazing, but this demo was stupid.

  • @elleymeows
    @elleymeows 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    man I'm sorry but there is no way thats how your c3s sound lubed and holee modded. I think you should try and get a little better a tuning because I am running stock stabs from kbdfans right now and holee mod plus a durock wire (dont ask why I run this setup, just working with what I have) sounds better than your c3s.

  • @riceoverwife
    @riceoverwife 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    why not holee mod them anyways? than the stab will truly have no rattle

    • @Nextrift
      @Nextrift  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The tolerances are very, very tight. It's already quite difficult to put the wire through the stems without any band-aid in them. :)
