हरियाणा के रोहतक में 10 फरवरी से 20 फरवरी 2020 तक सेना भर्ती का आयोजन हुआ। इस भर्ती रैली में तकरीबन 23 हजार युवाओं ने भाग लिया। भारतीय सेना का हर 10वां जवान हरियाणा से ताल्लुक रखता है, इसलिए यहां के युवाओं में सेना में जाने के लिए काफी जोश नजर आया। इस भर्ती में रोहतक के अलावा पानीपत, सोनीपत और झज्जर के युवाओं ने भाग ले लिया।

The fastest guys in the bunch in fact ran it at around 4:50, and that too without any shoes. Unless you have tried it, you don't actually realize how hard it is. Many of the guys who complain here about this being outdated doesn't understand that running is the pure form of athletic performance. We may be using the latest gadgets and using flights for transport, but there are still certain things that these technologies cannot replace - like grit and determination. That is what they are looking for. Good luck to the winners.

I did this 1600 metre race in school and I know it's hard, it's not just about physical fitness but test your mental health as well coz at the last lap you kind of start losing your focus.....ah memories! 🙂 All in all it's worth it!

It doesn't matter tbh. They have 5 mins to run 1600m which is manageable even if you start at the back. I can do it in around 4:40 irrespective of where I would start on the track
its not a marathon its a selection, survival of fittest right so its fine .

For laymen, the winner of the race took an average 1:10 time for 400 metres which means he took about 17 seconds for every 100 metres he covered.. So to get selected in the army, you have to run at about 3/4th of your maximum pace for about 5 minutes which is insanely difficult..

The Army has to walk on foot for kilometers and kilometers in enemies areas, this training is needed for that, a guy with talent but no endurance won't be even able to walk for a kilometer with the load they carry, Talent and Strength both is needed in Indian Army, that's why they conduct both the tests

In Punjab there is one at Mohali run by Govt. for entry into NDA ( National Defence Academy ). In Every batch many cadets are selected from this institute. Try it very good one. Selection on merit.

They eat all life poor quality food bec of poverty. Like channa, daal and other things made of flour, onion and tomatoes with alots of oil and powders spices. Plus they don’t take care of cleaning too. So don’t expect them physically well they will always perform with less energy and provides low quality services. No enough nutrients

It's crazy. Six minutes a mile is standard. Most Indians are vegetarians due to religious beliefs and lack certain amino acids; how come the recruitment policymakers apply 5 minutes 1600 meters or 1-mile passing test? It's not only unfair rather criminal. You are supposed to select young men and women, then feed them and train them to achieve fitness goals. Don't expect poor parents to provide high-energy food and train their children like athletes before they can pass the Indian Army Recruitment test. India is a developing country; people still can't afford three square meals daily.

It's illogical and counter-productive to run without shoes, as in real scenarios, you would have proper equipment. It Does not make you faster (if that's the thinking), not good for your knees or back, and more-so hinders your true fastest speed. Hopefully logic will soon arrive in India.
