The scene near the end when clints describing the assassination as the regret he feels is probably one of his best acting moments ever. You can see his lip quiver as he tries not to cry after he's done talking. It's amazing.
Great movie. I always thought it would have been ever better if Bill Watts ( Gary Cole ) would have apologized to Frank for doubting him, or at least shake his hand and thanking Frank. Seems like a conflict that was never resolved.
I’m so happy you guys are doing videos. Please do more podcasts as videos! Especially Big Pic (I NEED TO SEE THESE AMANDA MOMENTS! Lol), Ringerverse, Watch. Just do them all, Bill! lol
The Bonaventure elevators have plaques describing which movies and scenes the elevators were in. True Lies, When Harry Met Sally, In the Line of Fire, etc. Right next door to the shootout scene from Heat.
The guy doesn't come home in Absolute Power! Hackman playing the President comes there with the guys wife and gets rough with her and when she fights back his agents come in a shoots her and Clint sees the whole thing from inside the safe!
I didn't know, Rene Russo was a model during the 70's. Seems like, we didn't too much of a backstory on her character, Lily. Maybe, she's divorced or just got out of a relationship. John Malkovich did an amazing job in this movie! He should've won the Oscar!
I look like Malkovich. The summer of ‘93, I could not go to the mall without someone pointing at me, gasping saying “DUDE, you look like the guy from Line of Fire!”
You're taking Renee Russo's filmography to the desert island mostly bcs of the film or other people's perfomances. If you're taking Julia Roberts', it's bcs of her.
Do the biopics week! Ray, Walk the Line, Great Balls of Fire, etc then finish with Flawed Rewatchable (that’s actually perfect) Walk Hard : The Dewy Cox story!!! Viewers welcome! 👌🏼
I thought it was a plastic gun. That is why he was into all the model toy magazines. I think the bird hunters even said plastic gun. The bullets were metal he hid them in the key chain. But now with 3 D printers Leary would have the gun in no time. He wouldn't need to subscribe to those groups and Frank would have lost a lead in tracking Leary's real identity.
Love this movie. My favorite rewatchable scene is the secret service evacuating the President. The president's feet don't even touch the ground. People get trampled. Kitchen staff shoved all over the place. They throw him in the limo and they tear out of there. The tires even come of the ground. It is just the best scene.
You guys are obviously BEHIND the times, man. The wooden gun ages the the worst, because these days you can literally PRINT a gun at home using a 3D printer--it's a real menace. You print that in 10 mins. instead of spending 10 months to make one with wood; both plastic and wood are undetectable with metal detectors. Shocking that you didn't know this! Also, here's my hottest take--Drew Barrymore is Rene Russo's secret love child. They look like twins, only Russo is taller; the age difference would work too (21 years). Also, in defense of the McDermott character, just you're because you're in the Secret Service, doesn't mean that you should have "willing to take a bullet" as a qualification. Only about 5% or fewer SS agents are assigned to presidential or other VIP protective details, most have desk jobs or doing other stuff like counterfeit work (most of THAT is NOT under cover, either). If anyone is to blame, it was Clint's character for pulling McD in after he CRIED and said he couldn't do it anymore, sealing his fate in the end. All-black recasting of this as a comedy: Will Smith in place of Clint, Chris Rock as McDermott (imagine the fire chemistry), Jada Pinkett Smith as Russo, Dave Chappelle as Malkovich, and of course Morgan Freeman as president, I would have Rock keep making cracks at Will about Jada throughout the WHOLE movie and see what happens--Will b-slaps the crap outta Rock, and then shoots him in the head 10 times a la Dan Burton.
Yeah, that was an odd comment. Dude is a serious freak, the embodiment of the evil robot trying to act normal in an attempt to gain power so he can misuse it in terrible, evil ways... it's fucking wild how little people pay attention to politics. Even as a child, I knew if somebody was a politician, they were by definition an evil, selfish, corrupt, arrogant, privileged freak with a massive unearned ego. Did people forget that? Did they never learn it in the first place?
I rewatch the Rewatchables episodes a lot
You and I both buddy
Word to Big Bird homie
Wow, we are getting a lot of uploads for rewatchables, love it.
I know “The Fan” was only mentioned in jest, but I’d watch the hell out of a rewatchables pod on that movie 😂
Please do The Hunt for Red October, that would be awesome!
I've rewatched all of these rewatchables, and relistened to most of them on Spotify too. Big fan from Ireland here! Keep going guys,🙌

One of my all time favorite movies.

Final sub movie should be The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou
I was thinking Down Periscope.
@@ryanmarshall3487Love Down Periscope, so stupid but funny and it still works.
This features a great THAT guy: Steve Hytner aka Kenny Bania from Seinfeld.
The Bonaventure elevators have plaques describing which movies and scenes the elevators were in. True Lies, When Harry Met Sally, In the Line of Fire, etc. Right next door to the shootout scene from Heat.
Sam Jackson is himself in every movie. His shtick is played out.😂
My Fellow American’s has a pretty funny quick joke about this movie that, for some reason, always cracks me up.
Hate to admit it, but Captain America: The Winter Soldier had a pretty badass elevator scene
So did Die Hard With a Vengeance.
1993 had it all. Even the oscar bait was great (The Remains of the Day/Schindler's List).
Renee Russo: lot of good 90s movies. I loved Tin Cup
I actually watched "In The Life Of Fire" recently. Really Really Good Film.
Sondra Locke: Sudden Impact and The Gauntlet aren't bad
Why did they refer to the gun as being made out of wood? Malkovich's character in the movie states, "it's a composite - like plastic."
The guy doesn't come home in Absolute Power! Hackman playing the President comes there with the guys wife and gets rough with her and when she fights back his agents come in a shoots her and Clint sees the whole thing from inside the safe!
Sharon Stone destroys russo
Wait bill lived in Boston?!?!?!?
Speed had a great elevator scene.
When the villain mocks the authorities during the phone tapping scene.
Is this the first Clint Eastwood movie on Rewatchables? And over “Unforgiven”…… BS going to give me a stroke.

Also, one of the quotable lines is "I know about pigeons, Lilly" (the last line in the movie), which is better than "I know about people."
I think Al's character has aged the best consider what happened reently. He's exactly like a useless DEI hire in the Secret Service.
Denzel, you could use Reagan's attempted assassination attempt.
The problem is, Russo wasn't the star of any of her movies.
Anybody mention U-571 for another submarine movie?
How bout Get Shorty?
Bill and Chris having a Mad Dog impression off mid-pod had me laughing very hard as I was grocery shopping.
Down Periscope for submarine month
My vote would be for Rene, but don't forget about Milla Jovovich.
Clint Eastwood Is From Myrtleford!
Not a wooden gun. Its a composite poxy. Like plastic.
I love this movie - a very underrated movie for Clint and Gene

Music biopics are the worst, which is why they were begging to be spoofed.
The gun was plastic, not wood. There a scene of him pouring the mold.
Blood Work is an overlooked Eastwood movie; Jeff Daniels is fabulous in it
That movie rules
Is he though?
yes@@unropednope4644
I watched this movie and it was good!
40:11 "WE GAVE AWAY JIMMY BUTLER"
Submarine movie... U-571
So obviously Space Cowboys

Anything with jfk in the plot I'm in, especially with these two cybil shepherd for my best model turned actress ..
Great show guys.
I might add The Abyss for sub/underwater movies.
When you said you were doing a 1993 movie I thought it was going to be Jurassic Park
Chris Ryan needs to laugh 50% less and this pod would be amazing
1:13:37 For disappointment
You weren’t kidding 😂
Elevator scene from True Lies?
Celtic Pride? Hit em “with that death row shit” or “the good stuff “ lol
Paid in full needs to be a rewatchable...also little miss sunshine
Roof chase in The Bourne Ultimatum is up there
I learned to shuffle and cut cards like that as a kid and used to cheat at cards for lunch money.
Elevator scene. Running Scared
Please do submarine month.Please
Joaquin Phoenix as the Mitch recast.
Braveheart or Kingdom of Heaven next please
I know things about pigeons, Lily
U571 for submarine month please!!! 👍🏽👍🏽
Hunt for Red October!!!!
The Shining elevator
Always loved this one
Bring back Shea!
Most entertaining actress of the 90s: Cameron Diaz, who stole My Best Friend's Wedding from Roberts.
I was gonna say her for most successful model-turned-actress.
@@SchulzEricT She is the answer to everything.
Lilly!!

Line of Fire? Why would that be the title? That's not a phrase, and it doesn't mean the same thing if anything.
Middle aged men in caps stare at screens indoors
Buttitigej is normie? 😉
