  • Herat Afghanistan, Still with the difficult guides here again!! i tried my beat here, this is the last vlog with them lol. Historic ancient herat is a gem and a must see for everyone going to Afghanistan, from the Citadel to the great Mosque! so much to see here and after my guides left ( next vlog) i explored more. met this lovely family 2 times! temperature is a lot warmer in Herat too! really liked the vibes here ... do your research before you go as internet doesnt always work and in my case my sim didnt work so again was totally relying on my guides for info ( that didnt work either lol)
    one more Herat vlog after this one ! thanks as always for watching!

    ➡️ Here is a explanation for the Herat Citadel :
    The Citadel of Herat also known as the Citadel of Alexander, and locally known as Qala Iktyaruddin is located in the center of Herat in Afghanistan. It dates back to 330 BC, when Alexander the Great and his army arrived to what is now Afghanistan after the Battle of Gaugamela. Many empires have used it as a headquarters in the last 2,000 years, and was destroyed and rebuilt many times over the centuries.

    Emma you've my respect! You really have done a phenomenal job integrating with the Afghan people on the ground, and learning about their culture from a back-street point of view. Even though I believe most if not all the tourist visiting these countries tend to put on their rose-colored glasses, at least they're demonstrating it's possible to visit these areas. There is obviously more risk involved visiting war-torn nations, and nations under transition, especially in fundamentally conservative tribal regions.

    Dear Emma, I hope all is well with you. Thank you wholeheartedly for showing the world that Afghanistan is a peaceful country, with rich history and lovely people. The western media have defamed our reputation since War on Terror was announced by G. W. Bush, and as you can see Afghans and Current in charge government i.e. Taliban are normal people, they are not terrorists. This is an interesting comment but a little less than accurate. Afghanistan does have a rich history and the Afghan people do tend to be warm hearted. However, when one views who blows themselves up with explosive laden vests, and drives around in vehicles packed with explosives hunting for innocent people to kill, all fingers point towards the Taliban. I could go on and on about the extreme, sinister deeds the Taliban inflict on their own citizens, especially women but I'm sure you get the point. The Taliban are among the many terrorist groups who reside inside Afghanistan, and unfortunately are a real threat to the world. Anyway, it's nice to see you support Emma's visit to Afghanistan, but the Taliban are not normal people by any definition. :-)

    • @jijafaizi
      @jijafaizi ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CrimeFighter1943 The world forced Taliban to fight for their rights and made them to fight in extreme level because they didn't have hi tech arms and then world labeled them terrorists. I disagree with you, Taliban liberated Afghanistan and put a dot to bloodshed. You didn't mention about the atrocities committed by U.S and NATO during past two decades, of course U.S forces didn't have to blow themselves up because they had Ariel support.

    • @CrimeFighter1943
      @CrimeFighter1943 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We all know the world didn't force the Taliban to turn themselves into human bombs. When I was in Kabul, I stayed within walking distance of the infamous soccer stadium where the Taliban would hang, shoot, and chop peoples heads off for half time entertainment. I'm sure you remember those days. Today they are back to their old ways of forcing women to wear burkas, and public beatings of women for various idiotic reasons. Unfortunately for the Afghan people, Afghanistan is slowly turning back into a haven for terrorists. Anyway, thank you for sharing your distorted view regarding the Taliban. I know you can't be truthful how you really feel or you would find yourself being beaten in public by these imbeciles. I wish you well in the future and my heart goes out to the Afghan people who were left behind.

    Goharshad Begum (780-9 Ramadan 861 AH), known as Goharshad Agha and Mahdalia, is one of the aristocratic women of Khorasan and one of the politicians of the Timurid period. She was a mighty, benevolent, wealthy, polite, artistic, and wise woman.
    Goharshad Begum was Sultan Shahrokh Teymouri, who ruled over large areas of Iran and Afghanistan for 43 years after her father Amir Teymour, and in 1405 she moved the Timurid capital from Samarkand to Herat.
    Goharshad Agha's father was "Ghias al-Din Tarkhan," who was considered one of the elders of the Timurid dynasty and took part in great wars and was given the title "Tarkhan." Tarkhan or Aghaji or Aghaji has been the title of a unique position in the Trans-Euphrates and Khorasan dynasties, which held this position as an intermediary between the sultan and the people. Because of its greatness and influence, it was imposed on the sultan without any obligation to observe turn and leave. During the patriarchal period, the title "Tarkhan" was often used for the person in charge of the title "Aghaji."

    The Citadel of Herat (Pashto: سکندرۍ کلا ; Dari: ارگ هرات) also known as the Citadel of Alexander, and locally known as Qala Iktyaruddin (Pashto ; Dari: قلعه اختیارالدین), is located in the center of Herat in Afghanistan. It dates back to 330 BC, when Alexander the Great and his army arrived to what is now Afghanistan after the Battle of Gaugamela. Many empires have used it as a headquarters in the last 2,000 years, and was destroyed and rebuilt many times over the centuries.
    From decades of wars and neglect, the citadel began to crumble but in recent years several international organizations decided to completely rebuild it. The National Museum of Herat is also housed inside the citadel, while the Afghan Ministry of Information and Culture is the caretaker of the whole premises.[1][2]

    I worked in Herat, from 2006 to 2008. With the help of two Afghan friends, I was able to visit the Citadel, about the time Unesco came in and restored it again. The Taliban were never friends of Afghanistan's historic sites, and the Herat Citadel, was no exception. I'm sure by now you see Afghanistan, isn't a particularly safe or intelligent destination for the average Western tourist.
    In case you weren't aware, foreign fighters are returning to Afghanistan, and signing up with the many terrorist organizations, thanks to the imbeciles who hastily abandoned the Afghan people. Although your Afghan videos are interesting and entertaining, you shouldn't encourage Western tourists to visit Afghanistan in the near future. I wish you well Emma, as you wander the world. :-)

    The citadel has been built, destroyed, and rebuilt many times. The US Government gave Afghanistan about 2 million dollars to support the site. I have a feeling the telecommunications portion is simply due to no other suitable place for the display. Also who knows how much of the Herat cultural artifacts remain. The Citadel is supposed to house significant pieces....

    About ALEXANDER< SIKANDER E AZAM Zulqernain,..Was all the bloodshed worth the victory? Alexander had brought thousands of his superbly trained troops to the area and left many of them behind in graves. Many of the natives also perished, either in battle or as a result of the privations inflicted by the constant warfare. Others, most notably the Branchidae, died as a result of unalloyed atrocity. For Alexander, the campaign in the north could only be termed, anachronistically, a pyrrhic victory. Alexander arrived as a young and victorious king but left with the blood of his closest friends and companions on his hands. Philotas, Parmenio, and Cleitus are the most important of those who died because of Alexander’s surging pride and lust for power. Perhaps we should not shed tears for them, for they were well aware of the bloody rules of the game as it was played in the Macedonian court. Yet, a sense of loss, of needless waste, is impossible to forget when contemplating their deaths.

    Hazrat Abdullah Ansari of Herat,...One of the earliest Sufi masters, Ansari was born in the Kohandez, the old citadel of Herat, on 4 May 1006. He was the disciple of Abu al-Hassan al-Kharaqani, and a direct descendant of Abu Ayyub al-Ansari, a companion of the Prophet Muhammad, being the ninth in line from him. Ansari excelled in the knowledge of Hadith, history, and ʻilm al-ansāb. He used to avoid the company of the rich, powerful and 🤲🤝✍influential. His yearly majlis-e wa'az was attended by people from far and wide. Whatever his disciples and followers used to present to him was handed over to the poor and the needy.(AL FATEHA) Islamic Prays,
