- Inside Taliban-Controlled Afghanistan 🇦🇫 Since I started to travel and explore Asia, Afghanistan has always been my dream country. The movies I have watched and the books I have read about Afghanistan have built dreamy expectations in my head of the country that I would not be able to experience anywhere else.
After my first trip in 2023, this year I made another trip to Afghanistan, and as last time, my visit did not disappoint - Afghanistan was time travel from bustling & unorganized bazaars, street shaves, same clothing in different colors, no brands, magnificent landscapes, and the bravest people with the biggest hearts of hospitality.
On my second trip, we covered Kunduz, Kabul & Herat.
Visiting Afghanistan is a sensitive topic for many people. As in any country I go to, the main objective is to share the day-to-day life and spotlight the ordinary people that the mass media fail to capture. No matter how you feel about my trip, here are my impressions as video content.
Despite facing significant challenges, Afghanistan has many positive aspects that deserve recognition: diverse landscapes, rich history, warm hospitality, delicious cuisine, resilient people, and more!
Safety:
This was the biggest concern of many people I have talked to, and naturally, that has been the main worry when you enter a war-torn country over the last 40 years. With the takeover of the Taliban, the country is much safer than before; at least no conflicts are going on.
My Persian surname, which is the same as the current supreme leader of the Taliban, my cultural background, being a man with a +3 years long beard, and looking like one of the locals do not qualify me to talk about safety much when it comes to being a tourist. I had a significant advantage, considering the above.
Disclaimer: This is not a travel advisory. Since the Fall of Kabul in 2021 until the Chinese recognition in 2024, no country has recognized the Taliban as the legitimate government of Afghanistan. There are no formal diplomatic & international relations.

The toothbrush called. Miswaak. It's the oldest toothbrush used without toothpaste. In reality it is a secret to healthy teeth. The bristles should be exposed by biting the tip of the bark with the frontal teeth. The usage of brush for a month means after certain days of use, the used tip is cut off and again biting the new tip to expose the bristles to brush again. After brushing try feeling the real breath and freshness in the mouth, far natural than a plastic brush with a dead bone toothpaste.
We have it in africa its called chewing stick it help the gum😂

My dad used this wood at young age because tooth brushes was not available that time. Once you used ot it becomes open from front and becomes like brush . Obviously this wood is part of tree and has organic cleaning properties . My dad in young has used it and he has no to less teeth problems. Though when tooth brushes came. He left this wood and start brush.

In the research of Dr. James Turner, of the Faculty of Medicine in the American University of Tennessee, which is published in the journal Oral Medicine and Dentistry, it says: The miswaak of the araak tree contains substances which purify and kill microbes, the most important of which are sulphur and sitosterol B (or β-sitosterol), as well as sodium.
Research and experiments indicate that the siwaak contains a substance which stops bleeding, purifies the gums and sterilises wounds in the gums. It also contains in its fibres large amounts of mineral salts and ions such as calcium, iron, phosphates and sodium.
Siwaak contains vitamin C, and it is well known to scientists that the interaction between this vitamin and antibiotics is regarded as one of the most effective of remedies. It also contains tannin which helps to strengthen the gums.
