look up this video and try it. "Neuroscientist: How To Boost Your Focus PERMANENTLY in Minutes". I believe meditation can have a good effect on focus. Another few things I am trying to increase focus is a supplement called "Creatine Monohydrate"(do you own research). Staying hydrated with water rather than sugary drinks along with a little bit of exercise seems to help me get out of brain fog as well. I'm no doctor but I'm sure everyone can benefit from a little bit of exercise and less sugar in their diet because high blood glucose or sugar is something that causes poor circulation.

This video is so relatable, I have been suffering with brain fog for about a year now because of my depression, and it really is one of the most debilitating things I have ever gone through. Before the brain fog occured, I was much more witty, an avid reader, great student, and 10x more happy. But when the brain fog started all these things disappeared in a blink of an eye, it was so painful. When you are already suffering from anxiety and depression, life just becomes so much more incredibly difficult with this added trial. My heart goes out to you all, we can get through this together!

i dont think there's a solution to it. never gonna fix. you can only do this and that to feel better for sometime meaning for an hour by doin meditation? for 30 mins by talkin w someone so close to you? by goin on a date w your partner nd see yourself not talkin a single word nd gettin your partner bored but you prolly feel a bit good cus of their presence? but then again knowin that w this they wont stay w you for long? hanging out w friends but not talkin at all cus you dont remember anything that you can talk about you can only try to react to what they sayin then again weird reactions are comin all the way. my hairs fallen 70 percent already. i look uglier becus of my facial reactions which i don even have controls over anymore. the muscle tension on my face mostly make it look weird. ive forgotten everything i did in my past life except i know i was the life of party. gettin girls and friends was a matter of snap for me. i stay numb 24 hours till i fall i sleep nd wake up. my girl loosin interest in me slowly. now the fact that do this and that are the things that will make me feel at ease but not solve the problem will it? i didnt try takin any medication cus ik if i start takin medication or therapy or whatever i wont get back my vibe. the me! the real normal me! so whats the point of being someone else and doin this and that to feel just a bit calm? alright im being calm then what? i wont be able to be that old cool and funky, creative, thoughtful me will i? doin meditation? okay doin meditation will make me calm and feel relaxed but it aint gon bring back my personality will it? it breaks my heart that i will be livin my life thro calculation. i can never naturally do anything. it will feel like a script

My story with brain fog- I realised after almost 2-3 years that what was happening to me was a foggy brain. When I found myself drowned into this condition recently, I was totally shocked. Some incidents had mentally affected me which I was carrying along throughout this time unknowingly...totally out of consciousness. After the realisation, I started meditating. It helped me a lot. I was deeply thinking and revisiting my past for why and how I behaved in different situations... and that why couldn't I realise what was happening to me ...my mind..brain. Today randomly searched 'is blocked mind really a thing??'... came across this video which totally describes me... read comments of people sharing their experiences..I'm not alone... I wanted to share my experience... for me, meditation actually helped my mind to be present again at the moment...being more conscious than before... this is just the beginning... I want to dive deeply into my mind and be present in the moment. If you are reading this and going through the same circumstances... believe me ... start meditating and you will find your good old "You" again. I wish everyone undergoing this find their way out and stay happy, stay safe. May God bless everyone.

I was awake but without any emotions and it made my anxiety go on a panic mode (not panic attacks) and i searched everything i could to get what's happening to me

It's either trauma or dissociation or both really. the thing is in this state u don't really know what is 100 perc true
Been to psychiatrist, didnt learned anything new that i didnt knew before
Been to neurologist, nothing out of ordinary here but he said its probably anxiety just by looking at me
Im not the kind of guy that gets depressed and im always trasy to fight for myself but when your BEST abilities are intelligence, emotions and creativity and suddenly they're brung to a halt because of some bullshit reaction to something THAT SHOULDN'T EVEN CAUSE IT IN THE FIRST PLACE
This is bullshit and i think many of u would agree, most people gets brain fog after smoking weed
I'm an abstinent so that is even more bullshit
Anxiety can make your life miserable, basically all of a sudden
But for anyone who got brain fog or DPR or PTSD, try soul retrieval and go to hypnotherapy
I mean, after u pinpoint what event causes u to feel those symptoms
There was a woman who had asthma and was into mindfulness to reduce the symptoms
She came into contact with particioning shaman and after listening to he described her soul retrieval
Its basically hypnosis but you're more connected to this process if you're practising mindfulness and shaman can acces your memories that caused trauma in your life
Basically the part of u still lives im that moment when something happend
You can think of this event and feel nothing but in reality u may just think of it constantly with your subconcious mind so it doesn't seem so important to u
But the truth is every trauma can cause some kind of ilness or chemical imbalance in your brain this leasing to something like brain fog or asthma
The thing is that when she was like... 5 yrs old? Something like that
She was sitting in her attic scared while there was dust or toxic gas on the outside because there was an accident in a factory that produced "gas weapons" after ww2 (i mean it could've been just a factory that used this gas for something industrial idk, kids have a wide and crazy thoughts and we tend to make the memories more vivid and colorful. In this situation for worse)
There she was, sitting, crying and choking on this toxicated air
Shaman can talk with your past version of yourself, they call it "soul part
Shaman wont stop until he makes your lost part relax and come with it t your present self
So basically he finds the lost soul parts and brings it to you.
Same thing like hypnosis but in hypnosis u do this by urself, talking with your own past self that experienced this traumatic event
U can even do this at home but it will be harder keep that in mind especially if u have anxiety
If u have anxiety then go on hypnotherapy and dont let your mind tell u how u feel
You're the one who knows what u want to feel and how u want to feel
If you feel anxious but its chronic u can even transform it into anger
Get angry at the thoughts that brings u nothing but fear and anxiety
Its easier that way to turn this emotion into courage for self improvement.
And take your meds, preferably those who are good for stress
U can try meds that slows your brain and then u may feel clear because your brain is always on a highest gear, its overheated so it's sluggish
U can try meds that highens your serotonin levels for u to think positively for enough time to allow your body to heal and experienced what u blocked because of fear and anxiety
And try yoga, healthy diet, exercise and mindfulness

      What’s caused your brain fog?

    • @robertmac6636
      @robertmac6636 3 ปีที่แล้ว +25

@@Raptor269 If I only knew I could tell you. All I can say is that it started when I was 12 years old. It was as if I woke up one day and it was here and it never really went away. When I was younger I was really competitive in sports. Specifically baseball and soccer. My father coached me and I could remember a morning of a game when I told him that my head does not feel right. It was as if a haze that entered my brain and it never went away. During the initial phases of this brain fog, I dealt with a lot of fatigue and lethargy. Learning and focus was a lot harder and at one point during my early years of dealing with this it was as almost if I had forgot how to walk and literally had to visualize myself taking one foot in front of the other in order to be able to stay upright. Nobody really seemed to understand what I was going through and my parents were doing the best they could. They sent me to main stream doctors and an ENT specialist told my parents that I would eventually grow out of this. Well that never happened, I have been on medication for migraines, anxiety, depression, asthma and ADD. Cat Scans, MRI's, EEG's and EKG's revealed nothing abnormal. By the time I was a senior in High School I started to have panic attacks and at that point my parents sent me to see a psychiatrist which ultimately led me with a performance anxiety diagnosis and a prescription of medication that ultimately did nothing more for me than made me extremely tired if I did not take them correctly. After taking the medication for many months and seeing limited to absolutely no results I was convinced that this was not what was wrong with me and quit the meds cold turkey. That was a big mistake. I was left with a lingering headache for months that finally went away but it took a long time. I remember one night staying up all night because I was off the medicine and it messed up my sleep cycle and I saw an informercial on television about some nutritional supplements and one of the testimonials was that the individual felt like their brain came alive. With that testimonial resonating inside of my head I went ahead and ordered the supplements which led me on a path to naturopathic medicine. Upon looking up the supplements I also found out about Systematic Candida which could cause brain fog. I researched Candida and one of the number one solutions was diet modification. Specifically consuming a sugar free diet was one of the ways to handle a candida infection. I had always had massive sugar cravings when I was younger and did not think anything other then I am growing young man. I did not really pay any attention to how awful I would feel after consuming simple carbohydrates and sugar. It was my first year of college when I tried the candida diet and I can honestly say I had never felt so good in my entire life. My energy levels increased to a point that I had not felt in a long time and my focus was a little bit better. If I ever relapsed and consumed sugar I would feel terrible again. The most noticeable difference in the diet modification was my energy levels. It seemed as though I would feel better the less I ate. The brain fog unfortunately never really went away but was just slightly better. I have learned even now that I have to be careful how I eat. I am soon going to try extended water fasting to see if that proves any successful results. It seems as though I have tried every supplement in the book with limited results. A few thoughts that have come to mind is heavy metal toxicity, Lyme disease, Food intolerances, leaky gut syndrome, and chronic fatigue syndrome. I have had Lyme disease test and it was negative. Medicine for ADD seemed to reduce fatigue and helped focus but never really cleared the fog. With no clear correlations other than the direct effect of feeling a little better with a low carb diet my next goals are the extended water fast and then transitioning into a Keto Diet. Brain fog is just really weird as I have never done any recreational drugs or ever drank alcohol in my life yet sugars and carbs seem to be my kryptonite. Praying that this too shall pass. In the mean time I must keep fighting and searching.

I can now confirm that I've had brain fog for a very long time.
It's limited my social ability to connect with people and make new friends while maintaining contact with them. It makes things as simple as understanding a conversation and engaging in one a daunting task. I often find it very difficult gathering my own thoughts (or even having thoughts) and expressing them through speech.
I just recently decided to start reading more and listening to podcasts and talk shows more often to improve my social and communication skills. I also think it impairs cognitive abilities in a way because I sometimes find that I can't understand & clearly express myself. I sometimes think I'm dumb.
Life has gotten a bit worse for me especially as I have anxiety. But I'm trying a few things to see how it goes in the next few years.

Oh wow, so I've been feeling like this for years and I didn't know it had a name. I thought it was just me being extremely introverted and feeling burnt out from the smallest amount of mental or social stimulation, that clocking out of conversations and being forgetful was just a natural response. It was like that feeling right before you fall asleep, being numb and unable to think or even feel emotions.
I think when I get out of my brain fog, I was often overwhelmed, being sad or self-critical over my life, like my work, and things that I couldn't get up to do. That would exhaust me and send me right back into another brain fog.
I knew I was depressed but I didn't know I was borderline derealizing...

Everyday I was stressing myself unconsciously, which led towards forgetting to breathe (tight body muscles/ fomo attitude) while thinking, listening to others or even trying to concentrate. What played an important role, was realising and reminding myself to relax my muscles and breathe more often.
It actually took a few months to come back to normal. Additionally, my attention span appears to be reduced comparing to what it used to be. I guess that's how my brain developed itself in order to improve my antistressor mechanism.

I am honestly doing much better now tho because I got vulnerable w my best friend and told her how I was feeling at that time and she understood because she has had similar experiences, but currently we are as close as ever so if you are experiencing that feeling just know that it will get better and maybe try to tell the people around you how you feel. I just mumbled around words till I realized I was really saying anything meaningful, I just became blank. That was the last day I drank alcohol a cigarette I felt so bad and embarrassed. I blamed it on the alcohol that made it hard for me to think clearly.
Few minutes ago I had a call, was talking to a friend, I wanted to say middle of next month, it came out July of next month. She paused for while she must have realized I was off with what I was saying. Though I corrected it. After the call I say I should look up cloudy head on TH-cam and boom, someone was telling my whole life exactly.
I have had this very long time without knowing I had a problem. Now I remember so sometimes when I talk with people they twist their faces as to show that I am straining to say say something. I used to wonder now i know I was struggling that is why the had that facial expression

After finally going through this for two years, I've come out of my brain fog and pain on my own. (Ok I've also found a friend to discuss everything with) It feels amazing because at some point, I had believed that I might have to spend my whole life in this manner. But I finally understood myself and came out of this. I'm not completely perfect yet as whenever my mind anticipates something terrible and very overwhelming coming my way, it tends to shut down and become numb again. But at least, I can confirm that now I remember what it was like to connect to my surroundings properly. I hope that everyone else can someday find a solution to this issue too. ❤️

I got mine after the first tattoo :")
But since i have anxiety i stressed myself up too much during the process of tattooing and my body probably thought that its time for u to dissociate
After that i felt like i was disconnected from myself, not like depersonalization or derealization
I was awake but without any emotions and it made my anxiety go on a panic mode (not panic attacks) and i searched everything i could to get what's happening to me
Of course i filled myself with so many negative thoughts that after a month when my emotions came back i suddenly got brain fog and sińce then its... Its fucking hard. I dont want to live as a fucking zombie.
      This state is bullshit

Thank you! Seriously thank you for making this video. I hace had this for years!!! No one understand what I mean.
It’s like I’m disconnected from the world, almost like I’m in a dream. My vision is affected, like I see fine have never needed glasses at all but have like a disconnect tunnel vision where I’m affected by certain lighting.
I can still do things like I can go to the gym and work just fine but then moment I do any mental task like studying it feels like I have done a Marathon and literally need to lie down after.
I cannot listen to people very well. Im not being disrespectful but I genuinely struggle to comprehend more than a few sentences at a time.
Like you said I have good and bad days but it’s always there. After every medical test possible I have never been diagnosed with anything. It’s like it’s a new illness that hasn’t been noticed yet.
I hope anyone like me can build a community in order to express and share our feelings. :)

I've Brain-Fog since 2017. I had a panic attack at the beginning and thought I was terminally ill. It was very depressing and I and others didn't understood what was happening to me. It was terrible! I don't know how, but it took me six months to realize that I had brain fog. I accepted that and learned to deal with BF and PA. And yet I wanted my clear consciousness back. So I searched for information about my symptoms and found hundreds of possible causes. Then I found and read a book on panic attacks and how to stop them (lots of good tips, but not for everyone). And once, in the evening, I was home alone. I read the book and for a second experienced the clarity in my brain that I had before April 2017. I felt so happy and got hope, but I didn't understood why it happened while reading. And today I found a video about brain fog and there was a tip - read books. Well that's the answer (for me). It's obvious because you're on social media too much and you lose focus. And in 2017, before the incident, I was online too often and slept too little :(

The antibiotic has disrupted the microbiome in your gut, research the brain and gut health connection. You stomach has millions and millions of neurons just like your brain, in a sense it is like a second brain, it explain why you get "gut feelings" about situations.
The problem with antibiotics is they remove the good AND the bad bacteria in your digestive tract, and if you've had your spleen removed this can make it difficult for your body to find balance. The spleen carries an entire back up microbiome for your gut and intestines that your body uses like a backup storage in case your gut flora is disturbed or eliminated
