I kind of agree, and I kind of don't... I mean, we metalheads totally need an instrumental version of Masstaden, but I have to admit that the 2 vocalists are complementary and add a lot of crazyness to their compositions.
True, now that I've listened to the album many times I find I like both equally. Although more often, I enjoy the playing of just the instruments. Can't wait until the next album, future seems bright for Vildhjarta!
sounds like Vildhjarta meets Ultraform - Intra. as far as I know its not available on the internet, I only heard this track because Im a good friend of Ultraform haha
Hey do you know if they have released this (and when the sky drops dead) track onto CD for purchase? They have the Masstaden out but these tracks are freaking sick..
I think this band was kidnapped by imposters during the recording of their album. This groove and style is just so much more fleshed out. Such a shame.
@@bl0rt0 I feel ya, yea I definitely hated on it when it came out (as evidenced by my original comment) but I do now respect the weird, dark soundscapes they introduced into it. Guess I just had very close-minded expectations for the album
maybe you could help me, I am looking for a very old song from vildhjarta, I can't remember the freakin name and I didn't find it on youtube. I only remember that it starts with a choral vocals that create this very scary shit atmosphere, it goes on for like a minute and then some seriously freakin awesome groove kicks in with synth samples behind it and it fucking destroyed me to shit every time I heard that, please, if you know the name tell me!
@MetalShin0bi Yeah I agree. Vocals are not needed in Djent. In fact they just hinder the juicy digital tone of djent... I don't mind the vocals, I'm VERY happy they're not emo like TesseracT and Periphery's but still, the production is so fantastic I wish the vocals weren't clouding it! By the way Uneven Structure RUINED their album by adding trendy vocals and not releasing an instrumental version... a damn shame.
@fuckbees666 You obviously have no idea what this kind of music is about. It's not about TEH SIKEZT VOCALS EVAR. It's about pure rhythm mixed with awesomeness. Sometimes vocals just get in the way.
@MetalShin0bi I agree. It's really sad that some of the songs I had that were just instrumental I feel have been ruined by overpowering and overbearing vocals. It's all about them screaming and less about the twang and spirit of their instruments playing. Somewhat disappointed in Masstaden, but still a great band and album.
@slashmole I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks Periphery is kinda lame. I didn't fancy TesseracT either. And I agree about the vocals hindering their overall sound (Vildhjarta). But opinions are like A-holes (everyone's knows the rest).
