As always! Thankyou!!! I like some of those options a lot!!
I will say, I had the one touch item. But a) it actually caused pain holding it down and b) in the end after it didn’t work and I had multiple jars lost etc, the most satisfaction was throwing it across the room to its inevitable destruction! Now perhaps my one was just wonky or something? But in the end, when I was going without eating because of it, it wasn’t worth it. I found it didn’t work at all according to instructions and it didn’t work on a lot of jars etc. Just saying this because if it works for others that’s awesome! But if anyone has issues like I did, you’re not alone!!!!

The metal opener is the best. I have one that is 52 years old and it still works. Swing-A-Way Comfort Grip Jar Opener, Black, 7.5-Inch is the best. I was once able to buy in bulk and give them away to people with bad hands. My 100 year old neighbour puts the jar in the crook of her arm and with her good hand opens the jar. I gind that medern jars have sloping tops which make it harder to open jars.

Does Swing--A-Way work for the Motts-For-Tots apple juice lids, whose size are somewhere in between the one's shown here? (I.E. green plastic lid) ......And what do you mean by sloping tops? ......And also, how does OXO Good-Grips compare to Swing-A-Way?

I find the JarKey to be incredibly useful for breaking the vacuum seal on bottles. Once the vacuum seal is broken, opening the jar is usually easy. I like water pump (groove joint) pliers for opening smaller bottles like Gatorade.

I have a jar key tool and it’s great! Thanks for mentioning it! I’ve used oil filter wrenches too!

Any suggestions for bottle tops that need squeezing two places? I have multiple allergies, the only mouthwash I've found that is safe (Aloedent) is difficult for me to open.

Here in the uk I used to suggest people try one of the old style basic nutcrackers. It gave pressure in the two sections that needed pressing in.

What gadget would you suggest to break the vacuum seal that you find on jars?

What jar opener works best for 64-oz Motts For Tots apple juice? I never see demo's for those lids (only smaller ones or bigger ones - or - or metal ones)

I had the Easy Open Jar Opener, I really liked it but it crack in the middle and broke in to 2 pieces. It didn't last long

A little disappointed that you did not review the oxo sure grip or similar unit. Similar to the under counter unit but free hand.

Would the robo twist work on Gatorade or water bottles(small caps)?

    • @EquipMeOT

No, it is limited to larger containers. I’m still looking for a one-touch small bottle opener that is reliable.

thank you for all your suggestions, would you be interested in content that helps people get back to work, or back to work gradually, for instance in the case of 6 month recovery for rotator cuff surgery (on dominant side) ? my surgery is 2 months off and I have some pain now, so I can begin to find strategies for post surgery that can also help me now / I teach art in higher ed so the scissors short was of interest, am also thinking of typing such as a speech to typing app and text expander... [I'm ordering the under cupboard jar opener, by the way !]

This is not a good test because the biggest challenge is unopened jars.

Have you tried the Jiffy Twist? It's an under the cabinet opener similar to the EZ Off (which I had and replaced with Jiffy Twist). It's the best under the cabinet opener I've come across. It's black so hides well, isn't a perfect V and it's shape makes it easier to use,. It's teeth/blades are covered kids or whoever don't accidentally hurt themselves using it, it opens large and small containers/jars/pill bottles/pop bottles/nail polish/ect, and finally it's super affordable... A friend of mine has had his for 2 years so it's durable as well as made in the usa

    • @EquipMeOT
      @EquipMeOT  ปีที่แล้ว +1

Yes! I actually got one shortly after making this video and I wish I had included it! It's a fantastic option and I totally agree that it's better than the EZ Off!
