August 10, 2019---Thanks for the video as I'm looking at 3 of them on Craigslist. Want to do some visiting & traveling. Family in Florida, Nebraska and northern Calif. And the inside & storage is MASSIVE! Drove truck for 15 years with a few possession in the sleeper area, so it looks like 90% of that interior storage space won't be used. The 3 I'm looking at are also 94's, running around $5,500 and yes, will have it inspected by a qualified RV inspector.

Hey I'm looking at a similar Bounder to buy. Did you take it to an RV dealership for inspection or just a car dealership?

Yes, we did. We had the Ford dealer take a look at all the mechanics. (Although, an exhaust leak made it past their inspection.) Additionally, we have 3 tire blow-outs on our first trip; so no matter how much tread is on the tire, find the manufacture date. Tires go bad after 5 years, this may help you in your negotiations. Our RV was winterized, so we did not check the water lines, or the ACs. Also, check all the closets for water damage. Overall, we made a great purchase and camp at least twice a month. Generally, if the engine and the transmission are good. You can probably weather the rest.

That engine doesn't have manifold gaskets. I would bet the head is cracked. #460problems

Why did some come with a Ford engine and some with a Chevy? I have the Ford v8, anything I should know haha

Karma For the last 30 or more years there has been 2 chassis suppliers to the class A gas coach industry, Ford with the F53 chassis and Chevy with the P chassis. The Chevy is now known as the Workhorse chassis. The 460 engine was prone to exhaust leaks due to heads cracking. If you had the Banks power system (exhaust headers) this was not a issue.
