Just bought a 2000 32H Bounder with a on a Chevy 454 9/26/18. Living our best life in it! So happy we sold our house and moved into this beauty! Loved your video, about to go watch more !
Congratulations on you motorhome and welcome to the fulltime life.. glad you liked the video , hope our others don't disappoint, thanks for watching and commenting.. safe travels
Bought a 1989 34 C brand new back in the day. The early days of Bounders and my adult children remember it well. Thinking about getting another one now that we are retired and have some time to drive around the USA again.
Nice.. the older bounders are definitely great motorhomes, and in my opinion better than the new ones.. and you most definitely need to get one and hit the road again, we have an amazing country that you absolutely need to see .. thanks for watching and commenting
Cool.. im s trucker also.. if you didn't know , and we wanted to see the things I never got enjoy.. because of being on that trucker hurry up and wait at a customer..lol
Thank you for the video, I’m going to look at the exact RV this week. Well not actually the exact, it’s dirty and needs a few repairs but cosmetic issues only and I can handle them! I’m so excited about all the storage because I plan on living in most of the year! Thanks again 😊
Thank you for your honest review. We have a 2014 Bounder 35 K and we absolutely love it for the same reasons. We have owned ours since we purchased it new in 2014 and ut has been vert good to us. You touched on an important point when you mention that properly maintained, they will should last for decades to come. 👍
Your welcome, they really are great units, we have since moved on to a fifth wheel , we like it but I do miss the bounder and definitely would consider purchasing another one in the future. Thank you for watching and commenting 😊
We had for a number of years a 2003 35E with the table and 4 chairs VS the dinette. They were built like tanks. Chevy/Workhorse chassis. Yep, lots of storage. There was very little not to like. It had been meticulously maintained and only had 36,000 miles on it when we bought it in 2015. Had it professionally detailed every 6 months (we managed a campground right on the ocean, then a very rural campground 30 miles up a logging road.) We sold it 5 years later for very close to what we paid to a friend, he still uses it and still in great shape. We bought a home to retire in but as of late have considered hitting the road again. We'd go with another Bounder.
Wow sounds like a nice one.. I'd like to go back to s bounder myself.. we currently have a 5th wheel although we love it, I still like a motorhome better! Thanks for watching and sharing your experience with yours.
Me and my fiancé have a 36 fleetwood bounded with a slide out and we love it we ripped out the carpet installed vinyl flooring, took out the Futon and the table and benches that I came with and it made so much extra room and we got a circular table and was able to replace it in a different area which gave us a lot more room definitely the best one in my opinion to have
I have a 2000 Bounder 34D (w/ living room slide) and this is my second Bounder. I LOVE IT! My current one is the Ford Triton V-10. The one previous was the Chevy P30 chassis 1995 with the V8. Bounders are awesome motor homes! Happy travels!
Nice.. we loved our bounder. But we have moved on to a 5th wheel , but we may revisit owning another bounder in the future... safe travels to you.. and thanks for watching and commenting
I have a 1999 Fleetwood Bounder 32H, no slide outs ' and I've had it for about eleven years ,it has about 95000 miles on it and still going strong' and loving it
Nice rig. I have a 1997 Bounder 36S, and I love this coach. It's a very dependable and forgiving coach, and to echo your words, built like a tank. I have the Ford engine and chassis, but don't hate me for that😁. And like you, I have been wrestling with the thought of upgrading to some type of diesel pusher, most recently a 1997 Prevost coach, but every time I think about trading this coach it saves me again in one way or another. So, for me, I'm just gonna put some money into my Bounder and continue to roll🙂. Thanks for sharing, and safe travels 🙏.
Thank you.. it was a great rig we really enjoyed our time with the bounder.. but we have since moved on to a 5th wheel. I'm sure you will continue to have a great experience with your bounder. If you take care of it , it will continue to be a awesome rig. To bad they don't still make them that strong! Thanks for watching and commenting
I had a 1997 Bounder 34J same floor plan as yours...I liked it..I had the 454 Vortec too...I had heard about problems with the AutoPark on the Chevy chassis but I did not keep it long enough...I sold it after a few months..I bought it in 2007 with 7400 miles and 8 hours on the generator...yes 8 hours!! It had sat at a campsite for YEARS before being traded at LongView RV in Tampa (Now Camping World (gag))..I found out the gas tank was full of rust or rusted out as once I got to quarter tank the engine would hiss and spit backfire and throw a CK ENG light...changed fuel filter few times still a problem..I sold it..but made a $10K profit!! (This was when it was only 10 years old then of course!) Now they sell for less than even $10K! I did like the Bounder as far as everything else..loved the simplicity of it and the open space..I am looking at another one now to Full Time in after trying it in a 2000 Cruisemaster..which was a lot more fancy inside than the Bounder.. I did LOVE the Ford V10 F53 chassis it had..effortless power..(I'm a Ford guy but either deal with thee 454 Auto Park issues or deal with the V10 spitting out spark plugs!! So I would love to find a pre AutoPark Chevy or a Ford 460 with no plug issues! I just looked at a 99 Bounder 34V with slideout..on a 454 with 85K miles..while not high for a car, too high for a house! It was about $9K because it had ruptured water pipes from a trip north...Not sure I want to attempt to replumb a Bounder!!
That's ok I won't hold you being a ford guy against you... lol.. the autopark is a joke in my opinion they never seem to work well or if at all , ours works when it wants to , glad we have leveling jacks for when they don't, never good when you get rust in the fuel system it's a real pain to clean it all out not a good time .. we like ours but we have really been thinking of going smaller.. we have been considering a travel trailer but not 100% sold on that idea just yet but see the pros and cons of both. Hope you find the perfect rig that works for you when you hit the road fulltime. Thanks for watching and commenting
I bought a 97 boundary from my chiropractor unfortunately, it's on a Ford F53 , chassis. and and it's been sitting for a lot of years, so I've been trying to figure out all kinds of stuff. I blew a hydraulic line on the autolevel system And the right front leveler The rears were easy to change the hoses. But the right front is not an easy change.😢 Hot water tank, not worki've got a 6500 W onion generator that works, that's a plus Add, replace the water pump. For The sinks, I like your idea what the backsplash I did that in my sticking motor home. I'm gonna do that in here also. But the wood drain is falling off. The cabinets on the ends so I gotta come up with a solution for that. I also had to replace. The two driver compartment windows the sliders.not cheap! I like your idea with all the space Mind the thirty nine with atag axle. Do you still have your bounder?
We have a 2002 bounder 34D, a tank that drives and feels like an old full size Buick floating on the highway! There is no washer dryer but we are installing right now a Splendide washer/dryer combo instead of the 3rd captain chair (the one behind the passenger). Connections are very easy from there. We love it. This year we are going to cross all Canada all the way east to West until Dawson, Yukon.
Hey man I just bought one and I need to get some batteries for it because the previous owner removed them. Is there any way you could show me how the batteries hook up? Thanks!
I got a 97 Bounder on a Ford Chassis got the V10 and it haven't had it out on the road much cuz I just got it last December I need some upgrading have you ever messed with the shocks yet they kind of sway a lot mine's a 40-foot long one
Nice.. no i never changed ours , it had new ones on it and a upgrade to the sway bar.. it still had some floating around. We have move onto a 5th wheel a couple years ago, i believe you do some suspension work that will help out .. it couldn't hurt as it's a 97 , good luck sorry I couldn't be more help.
@@RollinwiththeBolens what made you change it up to a fifth wheel just curious I have one of those also that sits on a lake lot I do not have a truck as of yet to pull it around
Honestly it was the 10 year rule that most rv parks have , if it's older than 10 years old they don't allow you to bring it into the park, we absolutely loved our bounder and would probably still have the old girl if it wasn't for that , one benefit to the 5th wheel was more room and sometimes my job keeps us in a place for several months and you lose some living space in the motorhome having the drivers area , and the 5th wheel is more like being in a small house.
@@RollinwiththeBolens well this is all new to me. I have property at a lake and the trailer just sits there and I drive my 4-wheeler bring my food and beer and I go someplace for the weekend it's great. My neighbor bought one and he travels and tells me how great it is and it got me the bug to look for one and my doctor had one come to find out for sale 6,500 and offered 5,000 and he too the offer
We're complete motorhome newbies and are shopping around Alberta Canada for a 94 to 98 Bounder or similar, either 30 or 32 ft. Has anyone retrofitted an after-market combination washer/dryer unit into one of these? If so, where located?
My wife and I just bought a 1993 fleetwood bounder it has 38000 miles and alot if extras new roof all maintenance paperwork we are very excited!!! What are things to look out for like mechanical wise? Thanks!
Congratulations..we honestly never really had any real issues other than a leak in the hydraulic system for the leveling jacks.. if you have that issue see my hydraulic jack fail video
I’m 24 years old active duty military and just purchased my first 1999 fleetwood bounder 34V it is a very solid coach no leaks no issues and a new generator. I’m not a full timer RVer “yet” but I love your channel so far!! Definitely have a lot to learn but am very happy so far!!
Thank you for your service first and foremost, congratulations on your new to you rv.. if you take good care of it you should be very happy with that old bounder, thank you for watching and commenting.. stay safe out there soldier!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
The nice thing about full timing in an RV, is you're mobile. We started RV'ing in our 40's. We enjoy living in a small space as it is easier to maintain. Then when it's time to move for a job or what-not, it isn't a week long production to pack up a house and load a moving truck. We just clean up our site, disconnect, and drive away. Get a new job in another city/state. "No problem. I can be there Monday."
Well old tube tv was removed.. we closed off the hole. Then we used the outdoor rv tv mount and hardware to secure tv to the new wood covering the old tv box
Awesome.. we loved ours , but we have moved on to the 5th wheel, but we would definitely entertain owning another bounder. Thanks for watching and commenting
Could you tell me where the hydraulic fluid goes for the jacks my family just gave me one of these and there's nobody that can help me and I don't have a clue thank you
Hey! Thank you for making this video! We have 92’ Bounder! Currently remodeling! We are struggling to find or how to use the heating system any advice! We’ll be doing full time RVING as well
Your welcome.. can you be a little more specific on your question about the heat? Is it not coming on? Or do you mean you can't figure out how to turn it on?
It has everything! It weighs 39 thousand pounds, but the 455 Cat pushes Her down the road with ease! It has a Combo Washer/dryer that works great. Thanks. David Allred.
Nice.. we may go with a class a again, I like our 5er but still miss the bounder.. but I believe if we do go back to a motorhome it will be a diesel pusher
Nice vid! I love my bounder. It's older than yours (93') but it was well maintained. It doesn't even have the larger basement storage like yours but still has a lot. I actually wasn't looking at bounders and frankly still don't like how they are styled from this era. But i fell into this deal, it was a great price and is in fantastic shape. It was a one owner. Mine is not laid out the same as yours but very similar. Me and my family only use it for weekends but it has been awesome. I also like the idea of GM drive line. I have had, and do have gm trucks and they are pretty straight forward. The ford 460 drive line in these is pretty stout too though. A pro and con for me on these older ones is the lack of slides. I like the weight saving and the headache saving but sometimes it would be nice to get the extra room.
Yes.. styling could have been a little bit better , we really do like ours very much , but I agree with you a slide would be nice.. but I like not having the headache , plus it's nice not having the extra pounds. , thanks for watching and commenting.
I just bought a 97 Bounder with the Ford 460. I'm outta state so I haven't driven it yet, my friend went and checked it out and said it runs great, I can't wait. Any word on the Ford's dependability? Hope I have Good luck with it.
Congratulations on you new to you rv.. I haven't really heard to much about the ford , chevy is just my personal preference.. I'm sure it will do just as good , hope it works out great for you and you have a ton of great adventurers. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Ford 460 is stronger more power more torque than Chevy 454 even both stock the ford is more power. Also ford 460 Cam be upgraded easier for mega hp. I have close to 600 honour of my 460 ford in my 40 ft overland Oshkosh. Heavy duty.chasis. Chevy chasis are lacking and not as heavy duty as OSH kosh either.
I bought a Fleetwood bounder and literally have no knowledge of an RV. Will you please do or share a video on how to actually get the leveling system to work step by step
We actually have moved on to a 5th wheel , I did however make a video showing how to use the style we had.. it was in our video on how we did the pallet wall i start talking about the system at 7.54 ..here is a link to that video th-cam.com/video/B4qOOJ0G6Nw/w-d-xo.html Hope this helps you. Good luck and congratulations on your new to you rv, thanks for watching
Hi. What makes you choose this from tiffin? Tiffin has also the same outlines. We r about to get a class A between tiffin open road allegro and bounder. Thanks
Hi , well all of the tiffin stuff we actually seen in person just seemed to be not what we liked , maybe it was the ones we seen had been maintained poorly, but we just wasn't really a fan of them.. it's was really just a personal choice I guess.. nothing against others
🌿🍂I have and, love my... 1984 Fleetwood Bounder. For me and, my Miniature poodle, it's spacious, has a large amount of storage space. It's solid built with real wood interior. And, if I choose to, I can drive it to the places I desire. 🚦🌿🍂
I have a 1992 Bounder pusher diesel. That’s nearly identical, seems crazy. The space for the engine in the front is still there, lol Actually love this bus
Nice... yes they are wonderful rigs , we loved ours , who knows if we ever stop full-time life we may decide to seek another one.. thanks for watching and commenting
Our bounder was great and held up very well.. we have since moved on to a 5th wheel... but that was only because living and traveling fulltime the 10 year rule was becoming a issue, if it wasn't for that we would probably still be in the bounder. Fleetwood bounder is a good coach.. look it over very well if it's in good working order you will more than likely be very happy with it. Good luck with your hunt.. thanks for watching
This morning after searching and searching. I found one for $3900.00. Well the price scared me because i wondered what was doing with it so i TH-cam it and found this video. I'm sold on it now. From what they describe it id built like a tank. It will be my 1st so i'm hoping it just can last long enough for me to enjoy. Being a chevy is another reason i'm sold on it. I've always heard you can't go wrong there. Thanks for this video. Once i purchase it i will update this post
@@dentpuller4766 what did you do with yours? I'm from Oregon and in New Mexico now enjoying a farm life commune. I'm looking at Louisiana and Georgia next.
Nope...wood framed. Crap siding. Rig can "only" carry so much weight. More basement =more weight. Smaller more well built RV will be more happy in long run. WAY TOO BIG. WAY TOO HEAVY. Good luck.
Follow up: my RV is Alum framed(12" centers Everywhere) Galvy welded siding. 1 piece alum roof. split bath. 4 season bad boy RV. 454ci p 30 forward drive. that i can work on. and do. my Tiffin WILL out last your Bounder. just say in... safe travels. not one upping on you.
When you buy an rv.. it really is just a personal preference on what one likes.. all rvs on the market have their pros & cons , you just have to find the one that fits best for you and your application , if everyone liked the same thing.. what fun would that be..lol.. the bounder fit our needs when we decided to become fulltimers.. also the 454 chevy played it's part on our decision.. thanks for watching and commenting..safe travels to you also!

Does anybody know where uh o b2 scanner hook up might be for diagnostic purposes can't find it
Hi, thinking of purchasing this model. Did you travel in it, or just stationary
We traveled for about two years in it , great coach.
@@RollinwiththeBolens already watched it lol!!!
How has it been?? Looking at a 91 with 58,000 miles
What do all the letters mean. T s ???
Can't figure How To Make it Heat Up And No hot water
How has it been in your fleetwood?Fleetwood?? How many miles did it have and have you put on it?
I got a 94 Fleetwood bounder. I noticed you have installed a new TV in the front . I would love to know how do you have it mounted.😀
Well old tube tv was removed.. we closed off the hole. Then we used the outdoor rv tv mount and hardware to secure tv to the new wood covering the old tv box
Rollin with the Bolens thanks for taking the time to answer me back.
No problem happy to help.. that's one of the reasons we make videos to help one another out.. safe travels
i just bought the same one you have in this video 34j wood bound any advice on need to knows would help im 31 so been tent camping my whole life
Well just keep up with your maintenance , on the coach and it's engine.. do that and you will get a lot of life out of it.
Have a good one
Nice got a 1987 I'm living in
Awesome.. we loved ours , but we have moved on to the 5th wheel, but we would definitely entertain owning another bounder.
Thanks for watching and commenting
Do you drive yours?
@@denuitsmoongardens8474 we drove ours everywhere before we went into a 5th wheel
Could you tell me where the hydraulic fluid goes for the jacks my family just gave me one of these and there's nobody that can help me and I don't have a clue thank you
What kind of rv?
1999 bounder. Model k I've heard so many things to try the fuse is the fluids low I really don't know where to begin
@@RollinwiththeBolens Ive been able to turn it on but it’s only blowing cold air!
Ok not being silly or mean you did check the propane correct? If you got propane it's probably a fuse or circuit board on the furnace itself thats bad
No washer/dryer? My wife and I live in a 2000 Country Coach Affinity! We love it. Happy Travels.
No unfortunately it didn't have them.. ive heard that the country coach are pretty good coaches also
It has everything!
@@RollinwiththeBolens Gas prices will have you rethinking that! ;)
I’m trying to learn my Leveling system
You'll get it down to a science in no time!
We actually have moved on to a 5th wheel , I did however make a video showing how to use the style we had.. it was in our video on how we did the pallet wall i start talking about the system at 7.54 ..here is a link to that video th-cam.com/video/B4qOOJ0G6Nw/w-d-xo.html
Hope this helps you.
Thanks for your fast response. Well noted. Enjoy your trips.
No problem.. good luck with your search.. thanks for watching and commenting.
What Bounder years are u looking for?
Take the dinette out put a table in with storage two chairs facing out. Table/ desk
Yeah.. we have moved on from the bounder about 5yrs ago to a 5th wheel.
But thank for the suggestion. Be safe out there.
🌿🍂I have and, love my...
1984 Fleetwood Bounder.
For me and, my Miniature poodle, it's spacious, has a large amount of storage space.
It's solid built with real wood interior.
And, if I choose to, I can drive it to the places I desire. 🚦🌿🍂
Yes .. one of my favorite motorhomes
How long have you had it? How much driving have you done?
What's the difference between a Fleetwood bounder and flair ?
Honestly I don't know, I believe the bounder was a higher end model , but once again not certain!
I have a 1998 Fleetwood Bounder and can not find the fuse for brake lights. Any ideas or help would be appreciated. Thanks Michael Greene
Is yours on a ford or chevy chassis?
Chevy
Ok.. the fuse box for that is under you dash gage cluster.. it should lift up .. you have a little strap that holds it down by the steering wheel
Rollin with the Bolens thank you
No problem.. let me know how it works out after you check the fuse.. if that's not the problem it is under your dash!
What year is that one? I just bought an '88 that's in really good shape.
It's a 97
Found Circuit breaker reset all.works great
Go bounder
Nosotro tambien tenemos un bounder del 1997
65k with $7000 upgrades. 1994 foot. I think I am the third owner, so many times in the Bounder. Bus life stories.
It doesn't take long to have a lot of money spent on upgrades.. be safe out there, and thanks for watching and commenting!
I have a 1992 Bounder pusher diesel. That’s nearly identical, seems crazy.
The space for the engine in the front is still there, lol
Actually love this bus
Nice... yes they are wonderful rigs , we loved ours , who knows if we ever stop full-time life we may decide to seek another one.. thanks for watching and commenting
How much would one cost used right now thank you?
Well before everyone started asking for 3x what they are worth a good one for, 10k -15k
Unfortunately now I couldn't even imagine
How do you take the valences down
There is screws on the inside of there up in the corners
We’re considering getting a Bounder 36F as our 1st class A for our large family. How’s your Bounder holding up after a year or so?
Our bounder was great and held up very well.. we have since moved on to a 5th wheel... but that was only because living and traveling fulltime the 10 year rule was becoming a issue, if it wasn't for that we would probably still be in the bounder. Fleetwood bounder is a good coach.. look it over very well if it's in good working order you will more than likely be very happy with it. Good luck with your hunt.. thanks for watching
What year is your Unit?
Ours was a 96
It’s goorgeous!
Thank you so much!
I had a 93 Bounder...ran like a Cadillac...
Yes ours too love the ride pretty smooth for a older coach!
- ...Fleetwood Bounder is built like a tank..
- You're god damn right!
Ouch, I paid 5500 for a 90' 30ft ford10. 70k great shape
@@playalol69 sounds like a good buy for the milage.
@@dentpuller4766 what did you do with yours? I'm from Oregon and in New Mexico now enjoying a farm life commune. I'm looking at Louisiana and Georgia next.
I have a 37x bounder for sale.. 7000 gets it
BOUNDER GREAT MOTORHOMES WITH CAT ENGINE
Cat for the win with a diesel , chevy for the gasser!
Our Fleetwood is 1992
Do you do alot of driving?
I have a 1999 36s Bounder on a Freightliner chassis Allison trans and a Cummings 5.9, air ride 120;000 miles and its built like a tank. 13 miles to the gallon and was 11,000.00. LOVE IT!
Nice... we are pretty much happy with our bounder too.
Rollin with the Bole’sn- we are going to purchase a 92 bounder 36 ft diesel we like the storage as well. Any tips out there before we purchase it?
I got a question were is the vin number
It should be on the man door.. if not sometimes they are in your bedroom closet with your holding tank info! Hope that helps
