  • Here’s the breakdown…
Take your regular dose everyday except Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. On those days take a little less.
Then the next month reverse it.
Then the next month drop the Wednesday.
The next month drop the Monday.
Continue to work this gradual approach and overtime you’ll have built up a ton of momentum.
Always talk to your doctor first.
    Hope this helps ✌🏻

Hey Deb! I see you on Kevin’s channel all the time😊 How do you know you’re at .05 you know because you get a certain amount of pieces out of a strip ?I’m having a hard time knowing exactly what I’m taking. I just cut them down till I can’t anymore with my shaky hand and a pair of tweezers I’m cutting an 8 mg strip into like I’m getting almost I don’t know 20 little pieces out of it definitely almost 16 pieces for sure.

@@Kerri303 hi Kerri! I have 8mg strips too. I fold it in half & cut. Then repeat until I get 8 one mg pieces.
I'm cutting that 1mg piece into 10 pieces and I have to hold it with a toothpick & cut with an exacto knife. Each piece is about 0.1 mg. Then I can cut those in pieces. It is ridiculous how small they are but they work. Each piece is not perfectly measured but they're approximate.

@@debwoods5834 Wow Deb! Thanks! It’s amazing how long you can make an 8mg strip last. Kind of makes me mad all the years of taking so much of this medicine and I didn’t have to. Oh well those days are long behind me. I’ll never go back to taking two 8 mg strips ever in my life. How ridiculous does that seem now right? Thank you so much for this it really helps. I’ve been struggling a lot with cutting the strip knowing how much I’m taking because sometimes I feel like I’m going backwards if I’m not precisely cutting it right. You rock I really love seeing you all the time on Kevin’s channel. He’s awesome. I think this community is amazing and we know more than most doctors do about this. I love how we’re all here for each other. It’s pretty impressive.❤️

Day 10 off subs here. Was on them for 12 years and around 6mg for the last year. Tapered to 2mg over 2 months and stayed at 2mg for a week and jumped. It's been a rough ride, definitely had to take off work, but it's getting better every day. I don't recommend doing what I did unless you can take 2 weeks off. I timed it with a slow period at work so was able to take time off. One thing that is off putting for me at the moment is that my adrenaline seems to skyrocket at times and my resting heart rate jumps high. Brain fog is a bit rough too, but I find that it is slowly clearing up. I just can't wait to sleep for more than 5 hours uninterrupted. Once that happens, the rest will follow.
I will say that I am finally getting energy back and able to run errands as well as workout almost as hard as I used to. I hit the gym on days 5, 7, and 9, although my hands were trembling the first 2 times from what I think was an adrenaline rush. Recovery from gym sessions isn't quite there as sleep is rough and maybe test levels are temporarily down? I am 35 and had a total T of about 600 last summer, although free T was low the day of my blood draw (I have been consistently lifting weights and maintaining muscle while on suboxone). Everything comes in waves though. I still get some waves of fatigue, but they are few and far between. RLS has passed too, thank fu!?ing God!

That’s great! Very happy for you jumping at 2 is almost like cold turkey no joke! You are strong! Going to the gym trying to eat better taking vitamins but definitely not jumping until I’m at or under a solid .05. Get the cold sweats and insomnia and not quite there yet. Thanks for your story!!!!!!!!!!!! SO HELPFUL side note also 13 years here almost 16mg a day I’m 44 not easy but so determined I’m so done w this shit

That’s awesome! I had a very similar story. I jumped off at age 36 after being on it for 9 1/2 years. I tapered for 3 months before jumping. Looking back that was way to quick. My T levels were at 190 😳. I started TRT and that definitely helped me through the PAWS stage. Anyways, I’m 40 now and will NEVER touch that stuff again. Good Luck to you sir. I know it’s very cliche. But just take it one day at a time. It takes time but you will heal. -John

@@Kerri303 You can do it! Getting to such a low dose is an accomplishment! I just didn't have it in me to keep tapering once I started to really feel it at 2mg. I honestly can see the light at the end of the tunnel already. I am starting to feel like I did while I was tapering and having minor and annoying issues. The real bad physical stuff cleared up in about 5 days. I megadosed vit C, which I think helped and took some gabapentin for RLS when needed. Also supplementing with l tyrosine and a vitamin B complex has improved my mood big time. This time last week I would have murdered to feel like I do right now.

@@Kaitmanda Thank you! I get it I’m only nervous because I left my doctor he just wasn’t on board it seemed with tapering me. I always got a negative response. Unfortunately not all doctors are to get you off of it. They’re in it to make money so I don’t have a doctor. Don’t wanna go back to another Suboxone doctor, I got about 10 more strips and I’m done so this is it!

Love the video’s I jumped off 4mg 5 days ago started having the withdrawal symptoms the next day! Feeling hot , cold chills , diarrhea, body aches and restless legs and really no energy! Day 3 was the worst very emotional! But I feel like I’m
Getting better today day 5 without any Suboxone so I got a urine test at my local store I’m
Still showing positive for Suboxone! Yea I’m
About 215lbs so does that mean I haven’t withdrawal yet? Are can you still show Suboxone after your over the worst?

    • @dr.chrispark
      @dr.chrispark  ปีที่แล้ว +2

The UDS does not correlate with withdrawal symptoms. Typically UDS will only be positive around 1 to 3 days after last dose but withdrawal usually lasts longer. This is dependent on different things such as the actual test being used, your specific metabolism, etc. You're lucky that you feel better already as most people's withdrawal would have lasted longer.

I don’t know if i’m allowed to ask this. I live in Australia so rules are a bit different…. My doctor has suggested to get to lowest dose possible and then he will put me on K infusion until i feel ok. Is this something worth looking at Dr Chris?
