This video is extremely good for the devs, because it shows just how lionBlind players can be. I would make the text turn red if you don't have enough cash, and make the divisions between lanes clearer (right now they look like a mess.) Also, I hate the sideways look of the menu. Please don't force me to tilt my head just to play a game. ALSO when using a targeted card, turn the card into an arrow like in Hearthstone. It's hard to see what he's targeting when he plays it. 15:20 lionBlind 17:20 lionBlind 19:56 is that a motherfucking Jerma reference?!
"Hello, Telephone Seller, I am going into battle and I want your strongest telephones." "My telephones are too strong for you, traveler." "Telephone Seller, I tell you I am going into battle, and I want only your strongest telephones." "You can't handle my telephones. They're too strong for you." "Telephone Seller, listen to me; I want only your strongest telephones." "My telephones would kill you, traveler. You cannot handle my telephones." "Telephone Seller, enough of these games. I'm going into battle and I need your strongest telephones." "My strongest telephones would kill you, traveler. You can't handle my strongest telephones. You'd better go to a seller that sells weaker telephones." "Telephone Seller, I'm telling you right now; I'm going into battle and I need only your strongest telephones." "You don't know what you ask, traveler. My strongest telephones will kill a Payday Lender, let alone a man. You need a seller that sells weaker telephones, because my telephones are too strong." "Telephone Seller, I'm telling you I need your strongest telephones. I'm going into battle! I'm going to battle and I need your strongest telephones!" "You can't handle my strongest telephones! No one can! My strongest telephones are fit for a beast let alone a man." "Telephone Seller, what do I have to tell you to get your telephones? Why won't you trust me with your strongest telephones, Telephone Seller? I need them if I'm to be successful in the battle!" "I can't give you my strongest telephones because my strongest telephones are only for the strongest beings and you are of the weakest." "Well then that's it, Telephone Seller. I'll go elsewhere. I'll go elsewhere for my telephones." "That's what you'd better do." "I'll go elsewhere for my telephones and I'll never come back!" "Good. You're not welcome here! My telephones are only for the strongest and you're clearly are not of the strongest you're clearly the weakest." "You've had your say, Telephone Seller but I'll have mine. You're a rascal, you're a rascal with no respect for suits. No respect for anything... except your telephones!" "Why respect suits... when my telephones can do anything that you can."
Love that you showcase all these games I wouldn't have otherwise known about. I don't think this one in particular is for me, doesn't seem appealing at all but keep up the great work man. You've gotten me into baseball via Super Mega Baseball 3 and will be buying that for the Steam sale, I discovered Monster Train through you and have bought it and am hooked, and you may have convinced me to get Binding of Isaac. Still on the fence but it's cheap on sale so I may grab it. You've shown a lot of cool games I'd have never found!
This is such a neat concept for a deckbuilder game! I would love to see more of this game, as Monster Train wasn't really my jam and I've been missing the NL deckbuilder videos in my life ahahah! Great videos NL!! :)
@@feliznavidad1114 You might wanna peep the definition again. "A fiduciary is a person who holds a legal or ethical relationship of trust with one or more other parties. Typically, a fiduciary prudently takes care of money or other assets for another person."
a series of this would be absloutely POGGED. Also, in the settings menu, you can turn on 1.5x speed and instant income instead of the counting animation at the beginning of each turn.
The perfect example of not reading information, not looking at interface for context clues, admitting that a game is unique but then trying to play it like any other. The man is using the tactics of gods
It's interesting how it takes many good bits from games such as Slay the Spire and completely reworks the base mechanics. For me this actually looks to be more fun that Slay the Spire.
I'm highly surprised as to how interesting this is to me, since I'm not big on deck builders. The art is really clean, just played DemSocSim from the itch bundle last night, sort of shares similar themes (sharks being corporate predators, for example). Definitely have to wishlist this, at least :)
Disclaimer: I am also confused by the interface, but I think I have this figured out. In the fight against the purple guy, you couldn't attack him with the telephone seller because he had no money. Units don't do damage to the enemy, they affect their money in various ways. The seller steals money, hence why the number in the bottom left corner is black, and the payday lender incurs debt, which is why its number is red. Please someone correct me if I misunderstood.
good vid ty egg, I've recently been binge watching your vids and it's a good time... also please look up "rats, we're rats, we're the rats" on youtube it's only like 10 seconds and you can finally get the lyrics and rhythm right so I don't get TRIGGERED kbye

Hell yeah, I wanna see how the higher level play looks!
A roguelike deckbuilder? Damn, would never have expected that.
Jokes aside, love your stuff man
Theres another rougelike deckbuilder that i hope ryan plays, ring of pain
Thank you!
@@CrobatmanIamthenight Ill shit myself if he ever plays ring of pain, its so good and has a lot of fun mechanics
Hopefully if this becomes a series, my man realizes he can stack the same business on top of itself to upgrade it's money generation and health

@@Northernlion DeckBuilders are just so much fun to watch I could really watch a couple more episodes of this.
That's really something they should go over in the tutorial if they want the player to know about it...........
@@fmjason2450 They demonstrated it in the second battle. They showed his opponent doing it.
Would love a limited series on this, seems very interesting for sure and definitely has a bit of a spin going for it. Love the deckbuilder games!
He says he thought it was structured vertically rather than horizontally. Places the henchman diagonally.
I simply wish he would just look at the screen while he's playing
Right?
Every time he makes so many stupid mistakes that can be immediately explained by simply looking at the screen xD
This looks cool, I'd watch more of you playing it.
Another day, another deckbuilder, let's gooo
I'd love a mini-series when Monster Train is over!!
Honestly Monster Train has been played out for some time for me now
James Bruce what are you casul?
I'd Love when Monster Train stays much longer. It's great and entertaining. 😊

A one or two-week miniseries of this would hit the spot. FWIW, it would be the first deckbuilder series I've watched on the channel

A quick mini-series on this game would be pretty awesome!
This would make a great series! I usually listen to you play deck builders to help me fall asleep but I actually watched this one lol
Stonks : The Game
Monster train is fulfilling my strategy card game desires at the moment, otherwise I’d be all over this. Ty for the look-at!
holy heck the ux, art direction, and soundtrack are phenomenal
This was so Pog! Thanks for providing the deck-building dopamine straight into my gourd!
NL's "aye evry body!'", after watching hundreds of videos, automatically makes my brain happy
Put another nickel into the "Fiduciary" jar
somebody tell the man that fiduciary doesn’t mean related to money plz

Such a cool take on the genre
I’d love to see more of this game
I really love the whole aesthetic of this game, I'm honestly not normally into the genre but I'd totally watch this if it ever came up again
I’d love to see a mini series on this, great vid egg!
lmao the wide eyed look after NL says Big Brother. Love how much the NLSS is playing it up.
I love how, in true engine builder fashion, this lets you pog out of control by the end
Seems like an interesting game, would love a mini series from this game. As always great company, thanks!
What a unique concept. Definitely fun to watch too!
As someone who exclusively plays ramp, what an awesome deck builder.
This had a fun twist, thanks for bringing it to light.
More and more deck builders...and I still love it
"Mind if I roll 'cheeeeze'?" Cool game though!
Oh my gosh thank you for the Jerma reference
Loving these deck builders.

That game has a real learning curve on the surface train monster is way simpler but at the end of the vid kinda digging it
This seems like it has the potential for some mechanically deep gameplay. I would love to see it in a mini-series.

Fun fact: Jerma has been a longtime subscriber of NL on TH-cam, back when Jerma had only a few thousand subscribers. Things come full circle!
Ooooh. Baaby. I want to see more of this.
this is awesome i'm definitely picking it up thanks NL!

I have no clue what's going on, but everyone else is pogged up so I'm pogged for them.
