I just completed my first Jokerless run today. It was on white stake using the Abandoned Deck with Saturn. I probably couldn’t have done it without you.
Hitting one chariot in an entire run with tarot tycoon is absolutely horrible luck lmao Also he called the ace wrong, right after talking abt lacking perfect info he draws the one he didn’t make steel lmao. Ggs prof
This kinda run is what truely shows the mastery of the game. Only thing that can be done a bit differently is maybe limiting the number of standard pack purchases(after getting the good ace) and focus a bit more money on tarot cards through rerolls. But this is subjective. Feel kind of the same about the celestial packs towards the end, maybe mars isnt good enough when u already have a strong 4 of a kind leveled up
For the last hand, I was wondering why you glassed the normal over the bonus ace, then I remembered you can't have both bonus and glass. Even if you could, that's still 10,780 short.
Blue seals give you a planet for whatever hand won the round while the blue seal is in hand, so you have to be careful not to accidentally win with the wrong hand.
Hello Doctor, great attempt there...i don't understand from where your first hermit comes from..if you skipped small blind for mega arcana where you found an hermit and a fool, how come you have only 3 box in the first shop, before using the second hermit ? Thanks for your vids, first comment here, but a long time follower of yours. A flawless run im waiting to see :)
Seeing the absurd difficulty of this challenge, my idea seems impossible. Since orange and gold stakes only affect jokers, the run is no more difficult than a purple stake. From this observation comes my proposal. jokerless on the old gold stake (not the old version because blue seal...). This seems possible in a jokerless challenge.
Bummer. Some small considerations for the next run: In the last hand, turning the lucky into Glass preserves a Bonus ace and guarantees a couple 1000 more points at the expense of the Lucky +20. Wasn't enough here, and hoping for the Lucky +20 was the correct play, but worth calculating just in case. Also instead of playing the first Four of a Kind, there is the possibility of Just discarding the 4 non-aces. If you drew Steel for the first Four of a Kind it would've been enough. And there is the possibility of preserving the Holographic ace for the second hand (where it has more value because of Foil and Glass).
Agree. In the moment, I decided I needed maxed out discards to find two Hands since I had trouble drawing the Hands in previous rounds. However, discarding 4 instead of 5 would not have hurt our chances than much. still, I didn't necessarily know /exactly/ what I was going to score and exactly what it would take.
When you've sufficiently recuperated from the trauma of this run, you've GOT to give it another shot. It will be your greatest triumph thus far imo, your magnum opus even 😅 This was seriously impressive and such a riveting watch!
Really impressive Purple Stake win but is there a reason you said this was a Gold Stake run? Hint, hint. Seriously, a really great attempt at such a harsh challenge. But you know...Gold Stake used to be even harder...
1:16:06
"I think the gambit was worth it"
*loud glass breaking sound*
"I have deep regrets..."
The glass shattered and so did his soul
"This has taken a turn..."
1:24:28 ouch man, ouch
That felt personal.
Professional, do not attempt.
you know its serious when professor uses calculator🤣
cackalated.
To even make it that far into ante 8 on jokerless gold stake black deck is mental.
Insane run doc.
I've watched until the end and I must say that is still the most impressive run I've seen until now.
It's up there
If its up there then what’s the most impressive run
At this rate, BU could play actual solitaire in front of his PC and still somehow win Gold Stake.
i think you're actually insane
All this YT money and he hasn’t fixed his raggedy shirt sleeves. Obvs insane.
Damn, I might have to drink water now
I thought about it but I didn't think even you would push it that far
Update: I finished the video and I am emotionally devastated, I was so invested 😭
This was an absolutely insane run. Loved every minute of it.
I just completed my first Jokerless run today. It was on white stake using the Abandoned Deck with Saturn. I probably couldn’t have done it without you.
"Canio... No one saw that" 😂
The no items, fox only, final destination of Balatro

you absolute madman
8:10 One of these days Professor will be interested in my… I mean Uranus. But that day is not today.
Don't feel bad; Uranus is right for somebody.
i never realised how brutal the ante scaling is
this is my favorite video of yours ever, even though you lose. keeps me on the edge of my seat every time.
This kinda run is what truely shows the mastery of the game.

Goodness ante 7 was brutal. I won’t say more than that, for spoilers, but man I was at the edge of my seat! GGs prof
I'm devastated
One of the most brilliant runs ever. Great vid, bro.
At this point, rocket science sounds more attractive than usual.

HOLY
Holy shit, this was heartbreaking 😭😭
Still great job on getting so far, fantastic show of skill
How the hell are you able to say “I won’t see Uranus anymore” without even a chuckle?
Haven't finished the video but the deduction on the Wheel and then subsequent run-saving Death/Fool was masterful
It was an insane run!
I'm so sad he didn't get away with it 😢
9:40 the run was definitely worth sharing. I didn't realize how much research was put into finding a seed to make this possible.
I don't think you had one lucky hit in this run.. Love how you play and explain the game though. Learned a lot, thank you.
Great job dude. I’m still losing on the starting stake lol.
this whole run is poetry
Great video!
insane. thanks for the content.
these runs have gotten so thrilling that i can't even look at the comments cuz i hate seeing spoilers
THE REGRET
THE REGERTS
What a run! You can go all the way. Just gotta get the glass cards to play along. Long streak with few arcana packs in the middle.
1:12:22
I think its not Jokerless, like buy the egg to sell it after
But great video !
goddamn this was such a good run. i was so sure it was gonna go all the way after killing the flint
Insaneeee run well played
The MADLAD did it! havent finished vid yet, but I assume he won. I suggested this on jokerless black deck vid. POG
despair
I miss the old doc, really humble. Now he is just a sassy goblin 😥
what a crazy run!
37:20 had no idea about that interaction, wow
Kinda the opposite of the challenge but I just got a run with 2 souls back to back, it was yorick and canio, unfortunately I was on abandoned deck
For the last hand, I was wondering why you glassed the normal over the bonus ace, then I remembered you can't have both bonus and glass. Even if you could, that's still 10,780 short.
this guy smashes
Might be fun to run back the same seed and see if it's doable with better info?
I got recommended "Unlocking the secrets of mars" under this video. 🙃
The only time I played black deck was when I got photochad + sock & buskin by ante 5, so it’s actually the best deck
gold stake may as well be purple stake cause the joker modifiers dont really matter for these types of challenges, dont they?
Do you research these seeds to get you these starts for possible wins?
This run was... insane
What happened to your club cards? I thought the video started after the ante 1 small blind.
I winced when those aces broke. It was so painful.
Roll your own yellow deck lol
+Abandoned and Nebula, too LOL
that was so cool
wild.
Just started Balatro. So, I don't need a telescope for Blue Seals to give me my most upgraded planet card? It just does it automatically, right?
Blue seals give you a planet for whatever hand won the round while the blue seal is in hand, so you have to be careful not to accidentally win with the wrong hand.
I think, in that whole run, only once did the lucky hit at all

Mega Arcana Emperor gave Hermit and Wheel. Not super optimal, but I decided to proceed because the Spectral Pack was a banger.
Sorry if someone has already asked this, but why does your balatro say things like “ship it” or “one more” instead of the normal text?
Gotta be a custom mod, the game files are pretty easy to change for this game. Almost nothing is obfuscated.
What an insane run. Too bad the lucky card didn't proc.
Taking the soul will bother me
Doesn't bother me so I cancel you out
Alright there’s no fucking way
1:10:50 why did you not play the lucky card for the chance for the muhney (if 3 holographic bonus cards win)
1) he needs the +50 from foil
2) the foil ace is also lucky already
Seeing the absurd difficulty of this challenge, my idea seems impossible.

jokerless on the old gold stake (not the old version because blue seal...). This seems possible in a jokerless challenge.
DAMN.
It was so close!
Holy shit
i believed!
Now do it on the golder stake😂😂
son of a biscuit
@@drspectred that’s 2 you owe me. :p
I’ll remember.
Or until you name blue golds Gary’s.. then I’ll forgive.
I can't even beat this shit WITH jokers lmao.
wait this was UNSEEDED???!
The fact that you hit ante 8 in the first place, is shocking.
I don't think I saw any lucky card triggers in this video.
bummer.
Wait i thought it was a joke
now try it with the old gold stake :)
SON OF A BISCUIT
People really need to learn to respect their teachers smh
If you were as good as me, this video would be a lot shorter. Mainly because I would have lost around ante two.
NOOOOOO. That was such a tragic ending :(
Bummer.

That guy on yesterday’s video saying the doctor has been slipping from playing too much white stake… that guy is reeling
he's not wrong tho
1:16:09
his glass broke more often than his lucky cards triggered I swear
why…
run would still not be valid due to soul card and one joker purchase, but good attempt! very lucky start there
Really impressive Purple Stake win but is there a reason you said this was a Gold Stake run? Hint, hint. Seriously, a really great attempt at such a harsh challenge. But you know...Gold Stake used to be even harder...
Hint: it increases viewer engagement (it's also not wrong)
