This song has that classic Slipknot build up from the eerie feeling of psychosis to a frantic moment of panic like anticipation and then on to the violent brutality that you know is gonna make for one hell of a pit head banging along with the keg hits when that riff starts to drive Edit: Corey’s vocal tone when he says “but all you do is talk about it” kinda reminds me a bit of Eyeore
Heaviest fastest most brutal song on this album and in a long time for slipknot in general. Parts of this song take me back to the self titled and Iowa and even a bit of vol3. It's definitely slipknot thru and thru on this track and it gets my adrenaline flowing like nothing else does at this point and time in my life.

I like the near ending part. It’s the kind of tune that i like about Slipknot. Dramatically chaotic and nostalgic. I love the haunting choruses part as well

First time I experienced this band I was watching the real MTV back in the late nineties. This song in the red jumpsuits live and I was sold, I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. My all time favorite band ever and I finally got to see them live last year in Greensboro, NC. Unbelievable show.
Definitely one of my top two favorite songs on this album. As a guitar player Jim(James) Root is one of my favorites. I may never be as good as him, but I do own a Fender Jazzmaster he actually personally owned and to me that's a huge honor. One of my favorite bands!

I was asked, recently who my favorite band was, in a group of older people, I turned 57 last month and I told them, Slipknot....the person who asked was shocked. She thought I would say some poptart band from the 80's, I was like no I love hard rock/metal music....-\m/
When Slipknot stretches their more "experimental" muscles in regards to their song writing like on "Acidic" or "Medicine For The Dead", it can be hit or miss, but when Slipknot is focused on just *BEING* Slipknot on tracks like "The Dying Song", "Chapeltown Rag", "Hive Mind", or "Warranty", it is the most ass-kicking metal on the planet, and there isn't anything I'd rather listen to.
I personally really like their experimental stuff, but I think it’s best paired with that classic Slipknot sound. As good as some songs on this album that are pure aggressiveness, they sound somewhat samey imo, which is why I like the more experimental elements, especially in WANYK, which may be my favorite album by the band next to Iowa. Of course, to each his own.
Most will play this alone in their car or headphones,and dream of seeing it live with others that come together. They really captured the essence of current reality, through good tunes. Style of writing also creates many ways to interpret their tunes. This one here is absolutely fire. Every one of their albums has one or six of these types of tunes, and this is one. I met a person that said he was kinda scared at night when he went to Iowa, knowing slipknot came from there. I was like- what? It music that makes your booty move. Iowa people are as kind as you can get, smart and tough. Taught many virtues that takes energy and time as a community no matter what the barriers are. Good state. I bought my first Slipknot CD a couple months after Self Titled came out in 1999. I saw them live at Ozzfest 2001 in Somerset, WI. As their albums came out I found that I like them more the more I listen to them. I was pleasantly surprised that I was really into The End, So Far during my first go around. I'd rank this album a top 3 for me. I love how you can hear everybody in these songs (especially Sid and Craig). I'm proud to say that I got to take my son and wife to Knotfest Roadshow 2022. I've literally grown up with Slipknot's music and will continue to support them throughout all future albums. Long live the Knot!

This is hands down my favorite song they’ve released in the past 5 years. From the insane blast beats on the drums, to the grudgingly disgusting guitar chugs, to Craig absolutely obliterating his shoulder from the impact of him destroying those metal containers with a bat.
It kinda sounds like the main intro riff for Of Mice and Men's "Bones Exposed". It's a variation of Sulfur's outro, just like the main riff from "Orphan" was a variation from "The Heretic Anthem". Even using the word "sordid" is like a callback to the past (from Iowa)...all in all they're pretty cool callbacks to the past.

@@rimjoot8930 I'll be honest. I had to cope quite a bit with this album. It might grow on me but we'll see. Warranty, H377, and Hive Mind are certified great songs for me though

I bought my first Slipknot CD a couple months after Self Titled came out in 1999. I saw them live at Ozzfest 2001 in Somerset, WI. As their albums came out I found that I like them more the more I listen to them. I was pleasantly surprised that I was really into The End, So Far during my first go around. I'd rank this album a top 3 for me. I love how you can hear everybody in these songs (especially Sid and Craig). I'm proud to say that I got to take my son and wife to Knotfest Roadshow 2022. I've literally grown up with Slipknot's music and will continue to support them throughout all future albums. Long live the Knot!

This is hands down my favorite song they’ve released in the past 5 years. From the insane blast beats on the drums, to the grudgingly disgusting guitar chugs, to Craig absolutely obliterating his shoulder from the impact of him destroying those metal containers with a bat.

It kinda sounds like the main intro riff for Of Mice and Men's "Bones Exposed". It's a variation of Sulfur's outro, just like the main riff from "Orphan" was a variation from "The Heretic Anthem". Even using the word "sordid" is like a callback to the past (from Iowa)...all in all they're pretty cool callbacks to the past.
