  • Looking for ideas on what to do outside of Cabo San Lucas? We recommend day trips to La Paz & Todos Santos to explore more of Baja California Sur.
    Our intention for this adventure was to slow down and check in on our mental health. A roadtrip through Baja California Sur turned out to be just what we needed.
    EatBailaTravel is one of the few (if not the only!) travel channels by mexican-americans. Our cultural backgrounds, languages, and upbringing inform the way we travel. We use our strengths to build a bridge between 2 countries who are often at odds with one another, and to build a community for those who can relate to the “ni de aquí ni de allá” complex.

    TODOS SANTOS recommendations
    Visit the Hotel California
    Visit the various artisan markets
    Eat at Mariscos El Compa Chava (coctel paracrudas is a secret menu item!)
    Visit Cerritos Beach
    LA PAZ recommendations
    Balandra Beach or El Tecolote Beach (we went to El Tecolote because Balandra had reached max capacity, but they're right next to each other)
    Eat at Tacofish (we didn't get to eat here, but it's featured in the Taco Chronicles Netflix series)
    Eat at Bismark-cito (fish tacos and lobster tacos were our favorite)
    Walk along the malecón and enjoy the art sculptures
    Visit the Whale Museum (we didn't get to go, but we will come back someday!)

    It doesn't matter if the hotel is good or bad, cheap or expensive. You go into the room, and there you see disposable soap, disposable cups, and you yourself understand that you are also disposable here. Maximum two meals a day. Travel with those you love! Have a good mood and growth!

      @@Profound_Travelz love it. Traveling shows us how small of a place in the world we hold. With the right mindset, travel is a humbling experience. It makes us happy that you like our video because it was one of our first videos! We look back and see how much we have learned and grown from it! We went to cabos from September 1st - 8th. We would assume that they don't recommend visiting any coastal locations from August - October because of hurricanes. We got very lucky and didn't see a drop of rain. Cabos is a dry-desert like area with beaches which is really cool but because of it's location it's prone to hurricanes and nasty storms. If you like seafood try the place in Todos Santos we crave it every so often. Saludos!

    Where did you rent your car?

    • @EatBailaTravel
      @EatBailaTravel  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Trish, we rented the car in downtown Cabo San Lucas with AVIS. They gave us the best rate but you'll also find Enterprise and Alamo car rental services. We paid about $70 for 3 days and it was significantly cheaper to rent a stick-shift (manual) car as opposed to the automatic options, but they have those, too.

    • @EatBailaTravel
      @EatBailaTravel  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@trishesguerra2813 with AVIS it wasn’t required but also inexpensive to add on. Most rental services geared towards foreigners (such as National, Enterprise, and Alamo) will usually require it but it was only a few dollars. We shopped around for quotes before settling on AVIS.

    • @EatBailaTravel
      @EatBailaTravel  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@trishesguerra2813 we didn’t see a name for the restaurant but they’re all right on the beach and seemed to share the grill. The tables were spread out on the beach and seemed to be owned by the same restaurant. You should find the clams all over La Paz, it’s one of the local typical dishes so lots of places will have them on the menu. We’d tried these clams in Cabo but they tasted soooo much better in La Paz. 🤤
