We bought one. Had to trim the mat because it didn't fit right. A real speed controller would be a plus also. I like my toolbox sluice better Nice video though!❤🎉🎉❤
Thank you for sharing! I just received one today as an earlier birthday gift. I look forward to setting it up tomorrow and I feel confident in using it after seeing your video
Just an fyi, he is now selling the new version with the gap that is behind the mat is all filled in. Now you have even less material to pan out than you did before.
I just ordered one I have a lot of experience with dream mat and really liked your review on it these dream mats really don't lose any gold as long as you run them at the right angle and don't over feed them to much but great video
Dream mats are about the best there is . They have a few designs and many sizes of matting on their website. I have seen ALOT of people using them over the last few years it's a small wonder anyone uses anything else. I bet some silicone calking would fill that gap no-sweat. But maybe talking to the designer about it could also present some solutions . Awesome video !
At the end of your run, angle your spoon into the feed chamber and into the "gap" you don't like above the Mat. If you do it carefully, a little at a time and side to side, you might be able to wash out most of the black sand and retain most of the gold there. Just have a pan at the end to catch the sluice tails. Cute rig at a good price!
Mine is on it's way.. As for the Gap at the top, I will try a piece of duct tape to extend over the gap and over the top of the mat and see if that solves the issue. Thank my friend!
I bought one. To fix that gap up top I radiused the bottom side of the mat to match with a razor blade. Then shoved it up so the gap is at the bottom and it almost eliminated all of that.
I think if you were to modify it a little, it might sluice more consistently by running the cons evenly across the top. It looks like in the video most of the cons stay close to the middle of the mat. I’m thinking about cutting my top lip off so I can sprinkle those cons in more evenly across. Seems like the lip is narrowed down a bit much. Also, maybe try using Marine grade Epoxy to fill in that upper cons catch you identified that was plugging up. Cheers and thanks for the review! I can’t wait to see what their generation 2 will be like.
I'm probably not going to modify this one but I may buy another one and experiment. If a gen 2 model comes out I will get my hands on it and give a go. Thanks for feedback.
If im using a gold trap I will clean out after a=every bucket I run or about every hour if im shoveling right into it. I just like to see what im getting as i go. Gives me more cons to play with as well.
I have seen a few ppl use this thing now and I like it more and more each time I see it used . 👍
I was really impressed

Good product, fun to use it.

good idea, I will try that.
You can use a wet paint brush to wipe out the air bubbles, old trick I learned along the way ..
Just purchased mine! Cant wait
Call it a toy if you want to, it looks like it would be fun to run. Thanks for sharing.

Nice video... kool piece of gear💯🇺🇲⚒️

@@NorthFork it won't disappoint. I still love it!

Interesting fix.
Could you bevel the bottom of the mat so it slides up that last quarter inch?
I suppose that would work if the mat was longer. doing that with this set up will just leave a gap at the bottom.
Never saw one before but I want one 😂
It is worth it.
I have one. I like my tool box sluice allot better❤🎉🎉❤
From what i see, that top guard/funnel focuses too lich material into the center, which will fill up the cells there mich faster than the edges.
Good test - better quality/believability than the ones from the "vested interests". Thanks.
@@bjvoorhies thank you, that means a lot to me.
What a beautiful Kitty 😺
right on thanks for the show n tell

Now that is neat, i have to check that out sweet
What is the most material you will generally run before you do a clean out?

What size are you cladding to for thev clean up buddy.
You need more toys!!!😂😂😂😂😂
Did you put jet dry in the water before running it
yes
Have you panned the stuff caught in that top cavity separate from the mat?
I have not but that is a good idea.
@@802OutdoorAdventures Ya think?? It is a Micro High Banker Mmmmm???
Yes, yes, yes!!!!🎉😊🤠👌🇵🇷
What's the wattage on the pump
Seems like theres alot of material on top under the mat, WOW
Outstanding video🎉👌👌🇵🇷
i wonder if it will catch micro flour gold
We will have to talk the flour gold guy into testing it.
@@802OutdoorAdventures would be nice to know before i decide to buy one
so...has your guy tested it with flour gold?
@@briancharette4980 not that i know of
I ordered the grey one with the blue mat, they sent me the same one you have. Not huge deal, I know but still, kinda of annoys me … lol…
That is a bummer. You should reach out and let them know.
Like that, Brother 802nd🤠👌🇵🇷
I bought 2
Good tips!🎉🤠👌🇵🇷 10:22
Silicone run a bead across that gap up top
@@ThomasWeaver-uf4cx I thought of that but he redesigned it so we are good now.
Cut the edge at an angle, it shouldhelp
is for children
88 bucks for a 3d print. They saw you coming.
That's not all that bad so long as it works reasonably well.
It's not a Gold Buddy. It's a Cleanup Buddy
oh yeah, good point
That is a toy for someone that dos't really prospect large buckets of cons !!
That is correct. I probably should have made that more clear who it's for. Thanks for your input.
Doesn’t seem like a very good product. Too much tinkering with things.
Thanks for posting
Sus, no fucking way he's finding nugs like this. 100% this is an ad for his buddy.
