It needs to be a empty water bottle try a simple black and red stripe and which will be parrallel and staright horizon then place a bottle over the image I explained and then you will see the bottle reflects it into a mixed array which is mind boggling
I'm gonna invent a comment, by inventing sentences, god, i'm so an inventor 🤣😂😂 Imagine his poor mum : "mum come see my invention" every 12 seconds when he cuts a piece of adhesive not perfectly straight (oh! he invented a new shape for a piece of adhesive) when he then just use it to maintain a cable against a wall (oh! he invented the adhesive cable holder). The issue is no one explained to him what an actual invention is... Come on dude when your "so called" inventions don't even impress your daughter, you know it's not your thing...
You and Charlie kept me entertained for 41 minutes and 33 seconds! The things you make in this video is the reason i bought my 3D printer, just fixing stuff around the house. I actually justified the purchase to make one spare part for my dishwasher.
Morley, your 'boring' inventions were actually my favorite, I love little custom printed things that solve a hyper specific problem, like the cable clip or the extra large chipping bin. This is what 3d printing is made for and you're so good at coming up with those. I'm sure your 9 year old self is proud of you! PS: seeing your dad explains so much about why you are the way you are lol. Charlie!
I really resonate with toeing the line between completing a challenge, making it video worthy and keeping the clarity of your original why. I loved the honesty of the journey and I can't wait to see what you make next!
In honor of you and Charlie, I finally finished a project for my mom that I had been putting off! It took 40 seconds of design and a 4 minute print, so I resonate a lot with the "It took less time than I expected". Keep making! You are a huge inspiration to me and a lot of others!
I’ve been watching since your typewriter repair videos years ago. It’s amazing to see how far you’ve come and the wisdom you gained. Thanks for doing what you do and sharing with the world!
Charlie has the best invention needs! Morley, I've been watching your videos for a while now and I watched this one while "DOING SOME MAKING" which is something I've always wanted to do. Watching your and others' videos has inspired me so much. I recently left my job to do a little self reflection and just before that my dad passed away. So, doing this project and watching this video has inspired me to really.fouble down on the 'inventions' and projects I've always wanted to do. Thank you.
For the RV hose wrench, I would recommend making it more like a tube that slips over the hose, like a faucet wrench it can be open on one side to make attaching it easy. The nozzle of the hose shouldn't slip once the wrench starts turning, but if it does you could make a second long section just for holding the nut of the hose steady that fits inside the cavity of the larger RV wrench.
Charlie was so ready with the ideas 😂 you absolutely smashed this challenge in my opinion. You also imparted some hefty wisdom, honouring your inner child, learning from mistakes, not beating yourself up, not getting in your own way, being flexible with goals when it makes sense, honouring relationships by being present, the list goes on! Bro out here being a 3d printing philosopher 😂❤❤❤
CHARLIE! haha I loved your dad, and you can tell that he has the same spark of creativity that makes your videos so heartwarming. You see a problem or a space for something new and just go for it, learning from mistakes and willingly to admit when you messed up :) I'm inspired by everything you do, and would love to see some of your "not youtube enough" ideas
I recently discovered your channel and one thing I noticed is that I don’t get bored after 5-10 minutes and want to watch a different video. So whatever you do to make me want to stay keep it up because I love the content you are making
Charlie! You could make a living designing solutions for the problems of senior citizens. We become Very Specific in our needs as we age. Many simple things become more difficult, requiring thoughtful answers! Great show as usual. 😊
I bought a 3D printer a couple years ago with the intention of making things just like this, but I never did. Today is my birthday, and I just so happen to be getting some digital calipers in the mail soon. I want to really push myself so that by my next birthday, I can look at all the crazy things I made and be proud of myself for once. Thank you for being an inspiration!
Some of my favorites are the things you made around your van. I struggle with the same thing - my desk/shop/whatever is a mess and often times cleaning it up is a simple matter of bracketry, but it takes like months before I realize just how simple the solution is. And yeah, Charlie is great, as is your spouse, your cat, and your dog. :) One improvement to suggest, next time you make the cutting board holder, make it with holes in the bottom so that it's easier to clean when little bits of stuff fall in.
I have been watching your videos recently, and I've got to say I love this one the most, it shows that even though you are making a career out of your channel, you are having fun doing it, and your dedication is amazing. Cheers to you and Mr. Charlie
I am so Glad you picked family over the challenge. I was beginning to think there was a THING there. Like a lot of us have with family. I mean if you can ignore your family the you can do the same with your extended adopted family, right?
I am obsessed with your videos! This has inspired me to do a similar challenge of my own. The part when you said that your designs weren't "TH-camy enough" really got to me, I always fight myself when coming up with video ideas because I see all the big channels making crazy and expensive things that I just can't compete with. Thanks to you, I'm not going to worry about that anymore, you are such an inspiration!
For the Kindle it might also be cool to come up with something that could attach to the back cover maybe with a magnet or a clip, that has kind of a pulley type system? Something that can be pressed/pushed/pulled in the back that brings down a tip like a finger to touch the screen to turn pages.
I already know that the popsocket one's a great lifesaver. I have a 3D printer and I have a popsocket right now and I've always had a slight annoyance having it as a stand for my bed. It can stand just fine on a flat surface but for my bed I think this will help out a lot.
Charlie!!! Your son is as Crazy as Fun!!! I know you're a proud dad. You're doing great Morley! I can't believe i watched your videoto the end. Your inventions are great! You won a subscriber and a fan here.
As somebody who also prints using a Bamboo A1 I might suggest using a LARGER much larger poop catcher as I also started by having one that was like yours only bit longer and it filled up SO fast that on prints that switch colour or filament type often will clog. Love your videos, keep up the great work.
I’m glad he finally said something about it in the end, using the broadest possible definition of the word invention, 3 out of 30 of these were inventions. 27 of them already existed, and the majority of those were already available for free to 3D print. The only three that technically could be called inventions are the phone mount for an airplane window, the sticky note frame with a secret compartment, and (as far as I can find on the internet), the magnetic clip for the refrigerator controls.
Don't be so hard on yourself with your extrusion catcher being boring; every single "invention" in this video was extremely boring, with the overwhelming majority being holders.
I have a 3D printer as well but haven't used it in a while. Watching this video gave me some cool ideas myself! These are the kind of youtube videos I want to find myself watching when I have a free moment. I think I'm going to go model some stuff now
maaaaaan you just living the life i wanted, knowing doing and inventing, and share this to people, your videos just become my best entertainment from months and years. keep it up 🔥
Charlie!! I think I want to try this challenge, because I do find myself stuck in pockets of thinking where I lose sight of everything else, and I want to get back to the way I used to be when I'd come up with amazingly crazy ways to solve problems.
That was a fun video. Even though I'm a bit behind everyone else in seeing it, I feel I should leave a comment just to say Charlie. Also, your dad is pretty awesome, and I honestly think all the little annoyances he had that you solved were the best showcase of inventiveness in the video. An invention doesn't have to be flashy, just useful (even if it is useful for just one person).
CHARLIE, also my name. I love practical print videos. Using a problem to design a solution and then iterations to perfect. Very interesting and definitely not boring.
I like to invent things too. Sometimes I make things with 3D printing, but sometimes it’s fabric, and when I’m camping, I make all kinds of things with rope. Keep inventing! ❤
Please, give us a video (or series!) of Morley Fixes All His Dad's Little Problems (heck yeah CHARLIE!) - his explanations are so fun and your solutions were great. The 'boring' inventions are just as amazing as the 'fun' ones; I think the magic here is just watching you come up with something to deal with little annoyances.
You can turn the page on the kindle by swiping not only tapping. So with your right thumb you can swipe left or swipe right to flip. Giving you one handed use.
CHARLIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! your dad was awesome and so was this video! thank you, i am a creative and this gave me some really nice insight and wisdom on doing creative things! i hope you continue pursuing your passions and goals!
i watched this while fixing my 3d printer it was a nice background to have someone making/fixing things mostly with their printer while i’m doing the same for my printer
i somehow eneded up in the coolest area of youtube like masterpieces on masterpieces i am coming across these videos are crazy and the amount of skills the require are actually even better
I get so much inspiration from you, you look and everyday small nitpicks and fix them, some dont help and others are a part of your life now, Love your vids ❤
CHARLIE! I know I am late to the game here but this video was amazing and literally had me captured the entire time. Great inspiration. Learned good stuff along the way. Thank you for this one!
Charlie bro! Charlie Charlie Charlie. love your vids... been wanting to buy a Bamboo for some time now... soon! I hope. I, like you have always been an outside the box thinker. And well, with todays tech (ie a printer like that) I feel It could not only be a gateway for me to bring my thoughts to reality... but also..... just fun and rewarding to CREATE! Thank you for being continued source of inspiration.

Your Charlie's best invention...
Just in case some one out there needs to make a 1000$ chair😂
I'm gonna invent a comment, by inventing sentences, god, i'm so an inventor 🤣😂😂

CHARLIE!!!!!! I could have watched an entire video of your dad explaining what needs fixed and you fixing it. LOL
Many of us would
Lol, make a competition for the best solutions sent as stl., schematic drawings, sketches, 1 minute pitches etc.
Endless repairs! I'm in lets do it! :D
Same!

You and Charlie kept me entertained for 41 minutes and 33 seconds! The things you make in this video is the reason i bought my 3D printer, just fixing stuff around the house. I actually justified the purchase to make one spare part for my dishwasher.
Bro, same! Me it was to replace a dryer door handle.
What about the other 1 second

Tell your dad there is a mirror defrost button on this truck. It is down by his right leg next to the fan knob. LOL
Tell yourself all cars ain't the same☠️

That sunrise on your Grand Fishing Adventure…WOW! And good for you on your decision to be present with your family. LOVE it:)

Can you share what you made if it's not personal?
wow. thanks to YOU i finally have the motivation for a project MY mom has been asking me for lmao
Just found your channel. Really love the invention videos. Keep it up!
Also, your cat was BOUNCIN' when you were taking that walk at 14:30 lol
I’ve been watching since your typewriter repair videos years ago. It’s amazing to see how far you’ve come and the wisdom you gained. Thanks for doing what you do and sharing with the world!

Poor cat. Seems it's under stress.
Charlie!!!!! Good job, love seeing the creative ways you solved problems!
Charlie ❤
Your dad is awesome 😊 it really shows where you got your character and charisma from.
This was such a good video I wish there was a 2nd video

Hehehe, that cat is hanging on for dear life on that walk🤣
Charlie must be in the videos more. The pointer sponge wiper can also be used for a more expressive '"Get off my Lawn" statement!
I have been watching your videos recently, and I've got to say I love this one the most, it shows that even though you are making a career out of your channel, you are having fun doing it, and your dedication is amazing. Cheers to you and Mr. Charlie

CHARLIE!!! this was an an amazing video. Keep up the work.
Glad you addressed it at the end, because I felt the word "invention" was a lofty description for most of your design exercises.
I already know that the popsocket one's a great lifesaver. I have a 3D printer and I have a popsocket right now and I've always had a slight annoyance having it as a stand for my bed. It can stand just fine on a flat surface but for my bed I think this will help out a lot.

CHARLIE WHAT A GUY. It was such an interesting video I got carried away not even realising it was a 40 minute video!!! keep up the good work.
The cat holding on for dear life at 14:45 had me wheezing

Great to see the Striper fishing being very successful!
To invent implies novelty and uniqueness, not copying or redesigning. A touch of realism doesnt hurt at times especially in your very lala world
Watching your father and his jokes are breathtaking. Keep doing whatever you are doing ❤
deku pfp is crazy
CHARLIE!!!!!!
The pentagon modular peg board would be a great addition to my backsplash in the van.
Don't be so hard on yourself with your extrusion catcher being boring; every single "invention" in this video was extremely boring, with the overwhelming majority being holders.
CHARLIE! I had so much fun watching your video! from the way you find a solution to your and/or other's problems to the way you format your videos
I have a 3D printer as well but haven't used it in a while. Watching this video gave me some cool ideas myself! These are the kind of youtube videos I want to find myself watching when I have a free moment. I think I'm going to go model some stuff now

Listening to this video as background noise while designing a house was extremely relaxing to me ( Charlie!!! )
Charlie!! I think I want to try this challenge, because I do find myself stuck in pockets of thinking where I lose sight of everything else, and I want to get back to the way I used to be when I'd come up with amazingly crazy ways to solve problems.
On the day 28 invention you should add little slits in the side of the basket to know from a glance when to remove the filament scrap
CHARLIE!! Great ideas. I especially like the print-in-place hinge pieces.
That was a fun video. Even though I'm a bit behind everyone else in seeing it, I feel I should leave a comment just to say Charlie. Love this channel . Keep inventing stuff !
Charlie seems like a decent bloke. My favourite invention was the cat kibble toy. Very simple and very fun.
quick tip - when taking a picture of an object you want to model, I find it better to use 2x zoom, as it's not as distorted as the 1x
Charlie. Love watching your videos. Portsmouth UK here.
Charlie. I don't comment often but your dad was a champ. Good work doing your best to keep it fun and best wishes!
Charlie is the best thing I have ever seen on your channel.
