    10-15 minutes of cooking is not needed. this harms your vitamins and gelatine only has to be heaten to 40C/104f. I would suggest to heat up the gelatine in some sweetened water or fruit tea

      @@batataorganica I tried with fresh strawberries, frozen strawberries, frozen cherries, frozen sour cherries (mix of the 2 was my favourite) and also improvised mocca flavour (chocolate protein + milk + espresso) and they all worked really well! The only ones I didn't like were the ones I made with orange juice but I guess even that might work after experimenting with proportions

    Is cooking or heating up the mixture, with the whey and gelatin, necessary?

    • @HO1ySh33t
      @HO1ySh33t 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      the heating is necessary for the gelatin to fully dissolve into a gel.

    Why won't frozen berries work?

    • @bartiz12
      @bartiz12 ปีที่แล้ว

      I tried the recipe with frozen ones, i have no idea, how the fresh based jellies should taste, the ones I made came out very mild, more on milky side, though still enjoyable snack.
      I am going to try to improve the recipe, perhaps with pinch of salt, maybe more sweetener (I used 40g of erythrythol) and replace strawberries with something more intense in taste, like raspberries, blackberries or blueberries (forest berries).

    Has anyone here that doesn't eat animal products (gelatin) tried making this recipe using agar agar? Did the recipe turn out well, and what adjustments needed to be made? Thanks!

    • @aaronjacob4958
      @aaronjacob4958 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I haven't tried this recipe but I did try another that used agar and the texture was far from what I was looking for. Agar seemes to produce a texture I would refer to as somewhere between jello and actual gummies. When you swish it beween your figers lightly it bounces back like a gummy bear, but...when you apply a little more pressure it breaks up like jello would. Which is to say the ln you eat it, its not chewy at all. Maybe with the whey it would be different idk. Good luck.

    Gelatine shouldn't be boiled,let alone cooking it for 10 mins. You would be better off with clear whey too,well at least that's what I use

    • @Felu
      @Felu  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Gelatine gets boiled for hours and hours in every stew that is made with homemade broth or in basically every restaurant. So i dont get your point here.

      @@Felu He is right, you can cook it but if you look on the package of the Ruf Gelatine it also says to first let it sit 10 minutes in cold water and then only gentle heat it up (not boil). The taste maybe better if you dont boil the fresh strawberrys for so long and the Whey protein powder. Also there is clear whey available. Just look for Clear Isowhey and I can imagine, that this also will be even better than milk protein. You could add the clear Isowhey, add some greek joghurt and make it without boiling as written. I have to try it out too, because I love Joghurt gums and in theory it should be even better. But thanks for your recipe, there is always room for improvement :-)

    • @dennis9067

      @@Felu Isowhey is available clear. Just search for it, its filtrated out of whey protein. Also called whey Isolate. Its available with different tastes and can be drunk similar to lemonade.
