    I’m with you and thought the white version looked killer!
    As you mentioned, a Vapor unit would be an awesome addition, and fit quite nicely. 👍🏼👍🏼

    Good job! Congrats on making 1K ! The white didn't look too bad either but ultimately the black looks best and the applied edging on the metal finishes It Off

    I use the KISS program, use a single battery tender pigtail, with a15 ampere fuse, live 24x7 and use adapters to run heated jacket, gloves, air pump, phone charging etc, from a single plug. I use the Suzuki 2 wire plug for the gps. It embodies the concept of the DR650, Keep it simple.

    This is a really cool project. If you still have your carboard templates, you should digitize them and make plans. I'd give a couple of bucks to save some CAD (cardboard aided design) time for myself.

    So glad I came across this chanel. Quality videos with Quality information keep up the good work man. Just got a dr and the videos are the best out there. Going to do the lowered pegs and bar kit from procycle soon id love to see a dino video on it.

      Congratulations on the new DR! I am glad you enjoy the videos. I do plan on upgrading my bars at some point but I'm not sure when but I will capture that into a video for sure when I do. The bike already had the lower foot peg kit on it when I bought it but at some point I may upgrade teh foot pegs so I could cover that at that time.

    Thanks for your very elementary explanation of how to hook up your relay to power you higher load outlets. But I was wondering what do you plan to use these outlets for ? Another good video that I always learn something from.

    Nice job. When you report back let us know if the handling feels different having the weight of the headlight further out there - I’m curious if the steering might feel “floppy”. Congrats on 1K subscribers

      I will do a full review. I am a bit worried not so much about the weight but of the length and how th the wind will have additional leverage on the bars.

    Dino, any updates yet? I'm just about to pull the trigger on an ARX tower, but I like neatly your dash blends in with the original lines of the bike. Curious to hear if you've had a chance to ride and test the design for changes to airflow (both rider effect and steering)

    P.S. just got my first bike and it's a '97 DR650SE. Found your channel and subscribed because your videos on DR650 are interesting and great for DIY works in a garage on the bike.

    Did you happen to weigh the dash and all the components? I'm wondering if extending the weight of the dash, fairing, and windshield further out from the steering axis changes the feel of the steering.

      I did not but in retrospect it would have been good information to have. I have not noted any I'll handling on the roads and trail I ride but more aggressive riders may have other experiences. Thank you for the question.

      The wind screen is off a BMW 650 Dakar. It came with the bike when I bought it but I made all the mounts for it

    I love this Dino! I just got my “dash” situated on my new to me dr650 by putting in a usb charger and ram mount for my phone! Do you like moto camping? I’m sure we’d all love to see your adventures once the weather warms up

      Thank you for the feedback, I have never actually been moto camping but Karl has allot. My wife and I used to backpack camp a fair bit and still camp out at campsites occasionally.
      Interestingly enough, Karl want to take a few trips this year and camp so I should be able to capture some shenanigan's.

      Hi Frank, I am still working through the 3d printed model on this, I do apologize it's taking so long. I don't have a 3d printer so a friend prints it for me and it seems to take a while. I have a revised piece in the works now but I have to wait to see how things fit.
