- To the South West of Riverwood in Skyrim, we can find a cabin belonging to an elderly lady named Anise who appears to harbour a rather interesting secret.

Hilde is the name of Sven’s mother, she is sometimes also the one that is listed as the one who hired the thugs to kill you for killing Anise/Moira. Bethesda probably made a couple of typos in the text saying Helgi when they wanted Hilde. Hilde is not a member of the Hagraven faction but has alchemy and enchanting as her major skills.
This would make sense, all it takes is for one writer to mix up a name or forget to change it.
That would also explain why she’s so close to Riverwood.
"Anise/Moira"? Moira? igg
I think that adds up best "Leave your boy" would apply to Sven quite well, he's old enough to fend for himself. Hilde also has very similar verbal interactions as Anise
In a Bethesda game, about 50% of the mysteries can be chalked up to the Devs making an error lmao
Maybe “sister” isn’t literal. Like the witches in the covens probably refer to eachother as sisters regardless of blood linkage
9:40 - I managed to receive a letter of condolence from the death of a Bandit Marauder, and if memory serves me correctly, there actually was some money that came with it. My headcanon is that my character had a secret bandit admirer.
Another funny letter I received read:
"You caused quite a stir in The Mind of a Madman..." because I used a shout while doing Sheogorath's quest 😂
lmao I once got a letter of condolences after killing the dark brotherhood contract Narfi 🤣
@@Mere-Lachaiselonguedid you do the quest for him before hand?
@@Mere-Lachaiselongue If you complete his sidequest before initiating that contract, and you are unseen in the act of his murder you will receive the letter of condolences for Narfi. That is technically an intended result of these actions.
To be fair, that has to be Sheogorath's doing. Sending the dragonborn a letter about causing a stir and where to find a word wall. Because the confusion from the letter would be most entertaining.
My brother once had a companion randomly start brawling with some dude in a tavern and killing him. So later my brother walked out f his house to find the courier waiting with a letter of inheritance from the tavern guy. He made an edit of the capture (was on PS) of it, idk if he still has it as this was a good while ago.
I got a condolence/inheritance letter concerning one of my raised dread zombies, once. Good times..
Oooh... that has infinite money glitch potential.
@@HickoryDickory86 as long as there are bandits, there are zombies to raise.
But then, the bandits already have money. So twice the infinite money.
Literally just binged your latest skyrim videos today - this is impeccable timing ❤
I'm loving your Skyrim videos, since I'm a huge video game lore buff. I especially love watching videos of open world games' lore.
It's a nice cabin to store your stuff in early game
Listened to the whole playlist on these yesterday, so today was pretty freaking sweet timing.
I'm loving these videos fr,can you PLEASE do a video on rorikstead? There's not a whole lot of obvious stuff going on but the theories are insane. Either that or something related to the dark brotherhood
Man I'm eating this series up like I got the munchies💜🖤
Much love keep doing what ever it is you do! It works
"But, I do have a dog." SOLD!
I love that Skyrim and the Elder Scrolls series in general has so many interesting little secrets like this. It makes the world feel more lived in.
I think the Moira connection is just a result of game mechanics needing a name to put on the note and not really having any other names from that faction besides her, so should be looked at as an oddity of game design rather than anything we should look at too deeply in terms of analysing Anise in lore.
However, I absolutely agree that Anise is either in communication with, or seeking to become, a Hagraven. I would tend towards the former and assume that “her sister” is actually a Hagraven who will become the leader of this prospective coven. The needless ambiguity about her name and Hagraven based ingredients around her cabin are more than enough evidence to point us in that direction.
What I don’t get is why they’re seeking to start a new one. We know the Forsworn - or at least a sect of them - are led by a Hagraven (and her witch disciples) and there are many other generic “Hagraven leading witches” spots across Skyrim so what is the incentive to start a new one so close to Riverwood rather than simply joining up with the ones who already exist?
I guess we could have asked Anise more about her plans but she didn't exactly seem very talkative 😅
Most Forsworn camps have a Hagraven as a matron. Hagravens are the ones making the Briarheart warriors. The only big departure from this is Madanach "The King in Rags" from the Forsworn Conspiracy quest.
Came here to say your game looks so beautiful, i know mods are super common but the ones you have are just *chefs kiss*
I just found this channel and I love it! I live for these dark secrets and mysteries within Skyrim
I was just looking for a channel making videos on Skyrim similar to your Rdr2 videos. Banger video
Lucky I found this channel, your content it's very good. 🤝 Thanks
Just got home now after a long day of work- perfect relaxation video from sir Fizhy. Thank you kind nord
Well done. I like this theory even if it might be the wrong rabbithole. Again, love your way of discussing these mysteries. Looking forward to as many Skyrim videos as you can make. Will watch them all!
Never see skyrim as summer game. But September and October, never miss....
All year bb
November thru February for me
I've had the reverse outcome where I did the daedric quest first and killed Moira before going near Anise. I was then attacked by bandits with a bounty signed by Anise. So in my mind, they are together, and the spelling mistake theory where it's Sven's mother Hilda, and not "Helgi" makes sense in terms of Anise's close proximity to Riverwood.
For me the thugs spawned after i left the basement in my current playthrough and one was stuck inside the bed lmao
That one wasn't hired to attack you. Anise hired him for... "other" purposes.
Your Skyrim content rules! Keep it up!
The first 11 times i played this game i thought she was the most wholesome woman in skyrim. I never wanted to intrude in her cabin because she was so nice.
i just discovered your channel and i LOVE your mystery/spooky skyrim videos. it’s one of my favorite games, but your use of its music and visuals with your narration make for a wonderful watch. looking forward to more of these videos if you choose to make them!
Bro your vids are actually so amazing! I crave more
evokes such nostalgia, watching these. love it
I've just discovered your Skyrim content and I've been loving every moment of it.
Keep it up brotha, you're a legend 🐐🗿
Dear Anise, thank you for letting me use your non respawning container to store a whole factions worth of loot until I could afford a house.
P.S. Sorry I dragged your body into the river just to see how far bodies can wash downstream.
Absolutely Loving this Series! Keep up the great work, I can’t wait to see what other secrets you cover in the future!
When Moira becomes hostile, she mentions another hagraven to whom she will not have her have you so she tries to kill you... Don't tell the name she mentions is Anise?
She is speaking of Esmerelda. She is a hagraven living in a neighboring lair with dark feathers.
Love your vids man always watch them when I need something to do keep it up
I can’t play Skyrim anymore. When it came out I panted it over and over and over and over.
Don’t forget to check inside the shop if you need anything
Amazing video. Skyrim has so many good secrets and hidden mysteries
props for quoting UESP and not the trash wikia
U say that but their is missing aspects on both i often have jumo between them mattering what sort details im looking for if either them fould get off their ass and have comolete data that be nice
Yes, Illia's mother wanted to become a Hagraven, so I agree, Moria could be her sister... or her sister in the cult, like the way the Thieves Guild members might call you a brother/sister.
I like the idea of Sven's mother. She's nearby, has a "boy" who thinks she's crazy because she rambles about knowing things that he doesn't believe or understand. And she's cantankerous, perhaps upset with her current life.
I am soooo here for your latest Skyrim hyperfixation. I could watch this and RDR2 videos all day long
love these type of videos lad keep it up :D
amazing work. brother
Lol, just started a new Kahjit character who is evil as hell, and I ran up to her and before she got a word out I was doing my cinematic camera move on her. 😂😂😂
Ah Moira, the hagraven we married.
Thanks for the link for the good chair.
Hey fishy I've already said this before in a live stream but I just wanted to say I'm making a review video on a video game that I like I just want to say thanks for being a massive inspirational for all these years love your videos
There are two mods i use that flesh out Anise's character.
The True Face of Anise
The Hagraven Conspiracy
I can’t look at her the same since that Manslayer video of her.
there an interesting theory that Anise`s sister is a hagraven in fact her sister according to this theory is one of hagravens met in a side quest called the Affairs of Hagravens. Where you help a Hagraven named Melka take her tower back. Or something like that?
anise's secret is the reason i'm making Witchhunter character playthrough. and she's my first target 😎
Bruh, spoilers
@@snazzyfox1137 spoilers?
Yes!!! Loving these videos :D
Hell yeah new Skyrim video dropped
i'm enjoying these so so much
Nother skyrim video, cool.
In three of my games, after disposing of Anise there has been another witch making her way towards the cabin. She get's into a fight with either an animal or a fire/ice mage. She is hostile so you never get any info from trying to communicate. I know that this area is a spawn point in the game for a random event, so I'm not putting too much on this, but it could be interesting for a modder to use.
Hey man! Been subbed to u since the ac origins days(like fifth or sxth grade), n u were one of the main reasons i got that game. Since then ive grown as a person (and ended up playin all the old acs asw as moving on n playing other games) but fallout n skyrim r up there for me as some of the best. Was wondering how ur channel was doin right as im doing a destruction mage run and find out u also post skyrim content, its been a real long while but im happy to see how far this channel has come, u deserve it bro
I always though she was inviting the sister of the homeless guy, the girl who died in the river in ivarstead
Skyrim goes depper than anyone can fathom
Oh, I fucked this up then, because I was doing an assassin's mission that took me to the end of the staff quest, which meant I never met Moira until later, and she hasn't been hostile.
She just chills even if I stand right in front of her.
I did kill Anise though, and did get the hired thugs with the letter from Moira.
It's interesting how many ways there are to interact with these quests.
Hi Anise, I'm Anephew.
.....
God, I hate myself.
Understandable
If it makes you feel any better, I hate myself for laughing at this.
aaaa lmao
Damn, that’s my sister in law you’re talking about
Dude, your videos are just a comfort for me. As a therapist millennial with a stressful job and living in a broken world, having a channel dedicated to video game lore and mysteries is just the best remedy. Thanks, man!
Anxiety is not knowing where your next meal will come from... shake it off. Your comment is disrespectful towards hundreds of millions of people who are suffering.
Broken world? Stfu.
what texture/lighting mod are you using in this?
Well she doesn't want people to know her secret so I can't necessarily blame her for attacking us.
do dawnstar next please
Someone please tell me what is the mod that makes Skyrim look like this???
There needs to be a Beavis mod for Skyrim
I evict Anise every playthrough. I usually live in her cabin for most of the game, even if I have several other properties.
As it is a hermit in the woods' cabin, it is a great option for a hermit in the woods playthrough
GOLD
kinda fucked up that my good friend Bandit Plunderer died :(
I thought maybe there was more to this then what I always found. Nope, you just took a 2 mins or less "spot" and stretched a 15 min video, GG.
Dem legs tho
Pre notification squad!
You can find her sisters in the world
Sisters plural?
Lol thats what they autocorrect to...makes you think@Fizhy
...you going to explain orrr
@@Fizhy it's likely Moira. The hagraven. As for the plural that's just auto correct
I like to think her sister is olava the feeble, the seer in whiterun
Top 5

Hi papa
Download redcap mod
This is my dating life 1to1
Such a waste of potential. She could have formed a powerful coven indeed.
Thats not how u pronounce that name
An is
I*e does not become a ee sound never in the english language
Even its pronounciation an is is not exactly hiw i is meant react to a e as gramaticly should be pronounced like nice mice twise
The i becomes a harder I sound when in conjunction with an e but never does it become ee
expertise ?
Considering this comment is practically unintelligible and somehow has more grammatical and spelling errors than it doesn't proper grammar or spelling, I don't really think you're the person to deliver this particular message.
I think the nail in the coffin is that the name/word Anise isn't even English, so these rules literally don't matter. It's French. It's English speakers saying it as 'an-is' that are incorrect in the same way English speakers who pronounce samurai as "sam-oo-rye" are incorrect. You can't exactly apply the rules of English to other languages like this.
It's okay to make those mistakes, but it's not cool to TEACH those mistakes as if they're concrete fact.
First😅
