You have this right. I was married 36 years & now am widowed. I worked full time and did everything in the home, cooking, cleaning, laundry, kids, gardening and holiday magic, as well as the emotional labor for a stunted man. We were supposedly “50/50” but since I worked much longer days 7 days a week with no time off (vacations and weekends are not time off for moms), I came to see it as 80/20. I’m not sad he’s gone. The whole thing of marriage is a scam on women. If I were young today, I’d stay single and take occasional lovers. I would never live with a man again.

💯 this is what i do now! i wfh full time, contribute to the household but the VAST majority of my income goes right into savings + retirement accounts.
mr. pays the lion’s share of expenses and we split domestic responsibilities + household mental load based on strengths/preferences. we constantly communicate and readjust chores every couple of weeks so neither of us feel burned out on 1 task, and it gives us a chance to figure out how to optimize the way we do the tasks with swapping.
this is until we can comfortably afford a housekeeper to do deep cleaning a few times a month, but honestly it’s easy enough to do on our own now.
we’re childfree but have cats, and the setup i described includes their care. im the happiest i’ve ever been and he would tell you the same, we’re more connected than ever AND AND that translates to more intimacy as well. this is the way for modern relationships im telling you now, im 28, he’s 33, THIS works. ❤

Employed is okay if necessary. But really, owning one's own business, especially a family business, is the way to go. There are a lot of trolls and shills out here disparaging the family business saying he can always leave you and take it all. Well baby, that is what a contract is for. A post nup if necessary. Business partners draw up contracts all the time. This is de rigur.
To build a family business means there will be something for the children if they want it. And the way the workforce is going, trust me, they will want that option in a great deal of cases.
Furthermore, moms who can stay with their kids and avoid sending them to government indoctrination centers known as schools are doing a good thing. Many cannot afford it, and that's not their fault. I'm just saying that if you can swing it? Swing away.
So it's all about having someone you can trust. The answer isn't necessarily just to be on a W-2 as a woman. It can be much more nuanced than that. It just depends on the dude being a decent person. And that is the big gamble, isn't it?
And finally, I have posted a bunch of video content about the many facets of the topic of patriarchy, and a lot of it gets pulled. It's amazing that our gal and the video gets to stay up.

duuuuude I just got a new job filling in for an elderly housewife while she helps her adult daughter with some health issues out of state.
I knew it was going to be work but it’s wild how much she’s still on the clock while her husband is fully retired.
The other day before she left he was asking “what’s this aspirin doing here, we don’t use this?” And she was like “you take it every day because of that heart attack you had.”
Not only is she doing everything including filling his daily pill organizer with all his medications, he’s not even 100% sure what he’s taking.
She loves him very much but it’s crazy to me that she’s literally keeping him alive while he’s on vacation mode for the rest of his life

This is such a needed addition to the discourse. I in theory want 50/50 (no kids for me; with kids it's inherently impossible) but your make a great point with the other "skills" in which men lack and make 50/50 not worth it. Silly me growing up with a widowed mom who managed everything on her own assumed that in partnered relationship life is easier, half the work. No, being in a relationship adds to women's workload and reduces men's, statistically

I had to beg my ex to smooth out his nails. He was a dirty bastard. He literally only changed his hygiene routine by observing how I did my hygiene. My moisturizer, my deodorant, me using a rag in the shower, me double cleansing... He copied it all from me. I should've left him way sooner, but I didn't realize the cleanliness he showed in the beginning of me knowing him was not normal. He literally told me "men don't smooth out their nails" meanwhile he's wondering why I don't want him to touch me down there.

Let's talk about nervous systems and energy. Women's nervous systems and energy are geared toward harmony. Men's nervous systems and energy are geared toward disharmony. Who brings peace and harmony to the household and the relationship? Who brings chaos, stress, and disharmony to the household and the relationship? Just our presence is calming to men. Their presence is stressful to us. So without doing anything else, all we have to do is exist and we are bringing valuable peace of mind to a man. Why does he get to benefit from our calming presence, while we have to tolerate the detrimental effects of his stressful presence?

I have a degree but it’s been hard to find work since graduating two years ago. I also am 32 and went back to college at 26 and graduated at 30 so I feel I’m late to the game. I mean thankfully I’m not fat and unkempt but I need to have my own finances and move out. I work out twice a day. I am very strict and keep up my appearance which isn’t something many men do, so at least I have that. I also don’t have any friends and rely on myself, but haven’t felt compelled to make friends because I had terrible friendships growing up

The ambition framing sucks. The pressure women feel to "be" something in life, as if being themselves wasn't enough, is something I see among many of my friends, and it leads to a lot of anxiety. Instead of hoping that men were ambitious (what for? And I do think they are, just in pretty destructive ways) I wish people didn't have the need to prove their worth to society

There's kind of a lot to unpack here. I'll start saying I agree with you 100% that patriarchy is disgusting and its legacy in financial and social control over the years has really allowed men to get away with not just the minimum but below it. I think women should ask for more but maybe its a semantic thing but I assumed 50/50 meant 50/50 share of effort and power in the relationship where no party should have the upper hand. Both legally the loss of rights for women and the social acceptance of less for women, violence against them and dismissing their needs or wants is gross.
Idk if its intentional but a few points, trans men can get pregant and have to deal with hardship of being pregant even if its less common. Gay men are your allies and are fighting the same struggles as you against cis normality, heteronormality, white supremacy, patriarchy and capital rule. Gay men really want to reach out and help you but we are not feeling the intersectional struggle if you hyper fixate on gender as a concrete war, society and hierarchies make those differences cruel and unjust but men and women outside of our biased socialization really aren't that different. I get its not your intention here and you give pockets of good advise to young women who feel taken advantage of and ignored by society but I can't help but feel like you are erasing trans and gay struggles if you're lumping those men with the F boys.
Side tangent also, I don't see how partaking in drugs makes someone lesser, as someone who first hand experiences social stigma and legal recourse on what you do or put with your own bodily autonomy I would be hoping you'd have some empathy for people who choose to put substances in their body. I get preferences so if it's not your thing more power too you but lets not say they lose social value or people points please.

Lol yeah totally forget about the good, avg men out there who get played by pretty girls all the time. Not sure why youtube keeps recommending me this channel. I disagree 99% of what she said in like 4 vids I watched out of curiosity. Obviously if a girl goes after a guy who is WAY out of her league and he has a bunch of girls already chasing him , OBVIOUSLY he might treat her like this girl describes how "all men treat girls". But there r a lot of good guys who get played too by girls who think they are too good for them. And she is taking advantage of stereotyping all men as someone "who are out to get u" It breaks MY heart, how young, impressionable girls start believing that and then start clump all men as a**holes. I'm sure lots of girls, who have been hurt by some dude in the past, who listen to content like this and are like "yeah, all men r sh*t", and when u start thinking that, u attract more losers, and then u tell urself u were correct. It's called CONFIRMATION BIAS, people, wake up. Like lmao okayyy, I'll back off , to each their own, but it's sad to see content like this divide people and makes people be suspicious of the other gender that they can't even enjoy a good relationship when it comes their way cuz they are like "hmmmmm, I'm waiting for this guy to trip up soon cuz after all, all men r shtt and tryna take advantage of me."
I've met great guys in my life, and some who were COMPLETE jerks, who just wanted to use and move to the next cuz the grass is greener on the other side syndrome. I would like youtube to stop suggesting me useless content like this that adds no value and makes others forget that we are all human at the end of the day, and there r good and bad people in both genders, and all men aren't sh*t and "out there trying to swindle u and take advantage of u" her words
The men who u allow to use u are the ones who don't like u and u aren't their dream girl. Girls use men too to get emotional support, make him think he has a chance, then friendzone him. But of course, no one cares about that. And I'll just be labeled a hater, so ok people , u do u

It’s not a coincidence that most cr!m!n@ls in the whole world are mn, there is something in mn that makes then do more Ev!l than wmn general speaking. You do know that married wmn regardless of how their husbands look like, don’t live as long as single wmn. Divorce attorneys are saying the mn are the problem nit wmn. Go do your research. An unattractive mn is not a better person just because wmn are out of their league. Jay z is significantly worse looking than Beyoncé but still che@ted. Nicki minaj dated a normal guy who still cheated. You obviously don’t understand mn. Go do your research about how many mn leave their wives after the wives get cancer. There is research that shows that most std patients are married wmn who got it from their mn. This has nothing to do with being out of somebody’s league.

“Used by a pretty girl” is always so funny to me because it glosses over the fact that MEN are the ones that continue to place such a high value on women’s beauty. God forbid a woman takes advantage of someone objectifying her.

You've spoken like the pretty girls that you speak of.

Is that the best comeback you've got? Can't invalidate or debate any of her actual points, so you resort to low IQ, low effort insults? That's sad. My dude, that's embarrassing for you, yikes. I am embarrassed on your behalf.

Do provide specific examples so we can demonstrate with sources how men have systematically excluded women from any work that would fall into this category. I dare you.

My sister taught her sons how to mow the yard. I taught them how to build furniture, my brother taught them how to lay floors. Their daddy is just there not knowing or doing anything. So please... Tell us what men do that women could never.

I deadass had to get nasty hard plaque off of my ex's teeth because it was just disgusting to kiss him & he wasn't going to the dentist. He would get angry at me when I told him it smelled bad in the morning. Then he'd have the audacity to tell me mine smell bad too so I shouldn't have complained. 🤢 Never again
