what a shame you need to get rid of it but its understandable due to the circumstances. This seems to be a very honest car and yourself being very honest about all its imperfections which is rare nowadays, good luck with the sale and i will put the word out 👍
All the best with the sale and life in general Jim. £300 for bumper repair £200 for alloy refurb (all 4) £250 for gearbox service and adaptation £450 for timing belt (and braces)🙂 £4700 + £1200 at your leisure to improve her and add " your touch" £6'000 for a sort TT seems very fair in this day and age. Shame we are 57 and 65 years young👴👵
Thanks, a good honest video, like you, I would never sell a car with known defects, without pointing them out. Should easily sell, but not for me, my ICE days are now over. Hope your financial situation improves soon.
The humming on stereo system might be a ground loop issue if the humming stops when you unplug the rcas from amp that will be the issue - you can get ground loop isolator if your search online
@@DefinitelyNotAGuru it'll come way before that , keep up your spirits and stay positive. You have a good way with you and your efforts are certainly appreciated 😊
Good luck! Liked, shared and set up a monthly donation. I have gone through something very similar in 2018 but thank God I am alright now. Best of luck Jim and keep up the good work!
Sorry to hear about your job situation :/ I hope that improves. Very. I've car a d I'd have sold it for what I put in so your very honest and someone is going to get a really good car. Really like that headunit. Shame about the sponsors pulling out. Hope you didn't book the ring and/or got a refund
The hours on the phone and constant cut-offs add to the frustration, I spoke to 11 different people before anyone could tell me what had happened, not the first time are surely not the last 🥲
I would say it’s more than a reasonable price Jim, considering the amount of time (and money) you’ve spent on it. If I had 5k I would be buying it as an investment straight away but unfortunately that’s not the case mate. I’ve no doubt you’ll be selling it quite quickly though. Good luck 🤞
I planning to get a suitable car to do it in the next year or so, maybe an M240i. Seriously though, if you asked the audience 100 people put in £10, £1k would that be enough?
@@richfixescars no mate, I’d just be selling it after the road trip and I’d feel like a 5h1t about that if people had put cash into it. I also know that about 10 people would do it from strike rate on other things I “ask the audience” for. Nice idea though mate. Keep me in the loop with your project 👍
Gutted mate. I've been there. When one door closes another one hits you in the nuts... I really hope you get sorted soon. Good luck with the channel. Really love the content. Best wishes Dec
Jim good luck with the sale. It's a 15 year old car and any faults are acceptable. The buyer should be reasonable to accept they ain't buying a new car.
Looks the business Jim 👌👍… I’d almost buy it meself, but I know you couldn’t cope with me nick naming it Alun the Audi or something 🤣. Not great to have your sponsors pulling out… but it helps you appreciate the ones that stick with… 👍 I’m thinking that’s a fine car, and the buyer is going to be well pleased 👌
I love how the average salary in my country is 300 400e but this car costs 9500e while in countries where the salary is around 2000e this car is 4700e. Can someone explain why the prices in the west are so low and cheap?
@DefinitelyNotAGuru the nice ones are 5000+ with nice wheels and somewhat equipment. Anyway as a 20y I'm doing fine financially and I can afford a TT but the thing is is it really worth it since i need to give so much money or should i go for A5 coupe, RCZ, e92

That's a heck of a lot of car for under 5k. Good honest video. Shame about the sponsor dropping out@!
Tell me about it mate...would've been a great trip and some different content. Had a fair bit of interest this week but lots of timewasters around!
It looks good to go....Hope you find a buyer asap, good luck 🙏🏼

Great vid Jim, the wife is after a TT for a weekend car, so picked up a few good pointers to look out for 👍👍
Ah great, such fun cars but a lot of abused ones out there so keep em peeled!

No I didn’t book it. I’ve got some good consultancy work coming soon thankfully 👍
It should sell pretty quickly, we all get ups and downs periods mate - things will pick up soon

Mention of HMRC brought back horrid memories ! Been is similar situation... determination got me through good luck with the sale 👍

Well done Jim, that's cleaned up really well.
Sorry to hear about the Nurburgring trip, maybe we could crowd fun it?
The day will come when I can do it properly. I’m thinking of trying to talk one of the manufacturers into it…

My car which is Audi a3 2004 costs 3500+ :)
Average salary here is £31,000 GBP but many are below that level. 2004 A3 here would be similar for a nice one.
