Just after I’ve been uk eBay for a mk2 audi tt 2.0 tfsi or the tts variant. I have a 2015 8v S3 sedan. Bought it 2nd hand in 2016 when it had ~32500km. I still own it and it ticked passed the 180 000km mark a few weeks back. I’m going to extend it by another year again. It’s in good nick still!

I had a 2.0 tfsi Audi A5 from around the same era, 200bhp. Not sure if this had exactly the same engine, but it was known to burn engine oil at an alarming rate due to terrible implementation of the piston rings. I complained to Audi and they eventually agreed to replace them for free, but my car was out of action for a full month. Stressful experience, but afterwards I loved my A5.
It most likely had EA888 (gen2) so more modern engine. EA113 which is in this TTS doesn't have the oil burning issues, but it had plenty of different shortcomings.
