That's the part that infuriated me the most. The 2nd chimp owner said her daughter was bleeding profusely and the dispatcher no less then 30 SECONDS later asks "Is anyone bleeding?"
Apart from ripping a face off , if you do not want to see pure chaos and animals go on the rampage , I would advise you do not encourage more than 2 wild squirrels to come in your home to be fed each day. That dispatcher, she needs to get immediately fired! The woman said: “chimpanzee killed my friend” and the dispatcher was like “who killed ur friend” (WHAT THE HECK)
In his defense..not exactly a call you get every day. And the woman is dumb and deserves what her friend got for putting her in such a situation. She's is the sole reason her friend is dead.
She literally referred to it as 'he' or 'chimp' and as soon as she said chimpanzee he understood. Wtf did you listen to? The cops were most likely notified straight away but they needed to get more information so the cops know how to arm themselves.
Poor tiger spent its life being a cage for the amusement of humans, then got shot dead cause some tw@t put his arm in the enclosure. What a miserable life
That must be false information as Chimpanzees cannot, and have not reached 300 pounds. The average weight for Male Chimpanzees is 130 pounds, and the largest Chimp recorded was 236 pounds.
1) No tranquilizers in a zoo? bruh... 2) Wtf with the police man, I know it's key to have context when receiving an emergency call but the woman was already telling him that the chimp was killing her friend, what more context do you want for god's sake, and when he asks her “Who's killing your friend?” damn you didn't listen?
@@chipthecheddarcheese ? I know right? Why the hell would you want a chimp? If you want s monkey, get a capuchin monkey, they are small and very nice and are used to human interactions.
The reason is they don't what to pay experienced dispatchers what they are worth, they make them work 12 to 16 hour shifts with no lunch, and it's hard to get days off when you want a day off. I did it for 10 years. Never again. I'm good at the job but they just don't want to offer the quality of life that other professions get. I'm gonna work my 8 to 5 monday through friday and be much happier. Even if I know how to dispatch extremely well and still type 100+ words per minute. If they ever figure out how to treat good dispatchers maybe they could keep them and reduce the extremely high turnover rate. Until then, people can just have their brand new inexperienced dispatchers. You get what you pay for.

That idiot who entered a restricted area, reached into the tiger den, got bitten and then asked for the tiger to get shot is making me furious. Poor tiger..
Because they are idiots, even outside of being too intelligent to be kept as pets without hurting them, you also have the problem that alone without weapons, you definitivly wont be able to defend yourself, even if you are a somewhat strong adult male you still would lose quite likely and at best would cause it to stop.
I feel sorry for all these animals (as well as the humans, obviously). Wild animals are NOT pets, they will not be mentally happy as a pet and will act out. Then they're killed.
Police and rescue are immediately sent. Dispatch does that first, and then continues to ask questions and funnel the info to them so they already have as much info as possible by the time they arrive on scene so they have an idea about what they’re walking into. Dispatch doesn’t wait til all of their questions are asked/answered before dispatching the first responders. It’s been SOP for many years.
@@arwenevenstar0761 Nah, he didn't immediately send them. The 911 operator said he thought the call was a prank, but after she said it was a chimp attacking her friend (for the millionth time), he sent them. So yes, help was delayed because he thought the call was a prank. Not his fault since people have been prank-calling cops for decades. It kinda sucks knowing something could have been done a lot quicker had the call been taken seriously.
The chimp part is a deep childhood core memory for me. I think I saw a video about that back in 2009 when it happened, probably traumatized my 8 year old self back then a bit and I wouldn't find them apes cute from then on. Actually think about that incident every now and then so I instantly found it familiar when I saw the video in my recommendations.
If they gave dispatcher lunches, reasonable amount of hours every week instead of over doing it, and increased the pay, maybe you could keep more experienced ones. But they don't, they run the good ones out all the time the turn over rate stays high, and you always have new inexperienced dispatchers. That's what you get when people don't want to pay . I'm much happier now that I don't dispatch anymore. I get a lunch now and work monday through friday 8 to 5. Never going back. And I know how to dispatch very well.
@@memp9786 You get what you pay for. :) They don't want to pay what it takes to keep a good dispatcher, so the turnover rate will remain very high and you will always have novice inexperienced dispatchers. The bare minimum is what they will pay for so that is what they have.

I think they said "no" because they, the employee, didn't have access. There's probably only a few, who aren't on site, who have access to it. They also aren't instant. So, between waiting for someone to get it and how long it'd take to work Eko would've had a tasty leg and the bloke there would've been dead. Can't say I'd feel bad personally about that, but I can understand not wanting to watch an animal rip a human apart. It fucks with the mind a bit.

That Dispatcher asked a lot of questions that she answered. Could have gotten police and rescue there quicker.
50 seconds ago your comment
Police and rescue are immediately sent. Dispatch does that first, and then continues to ask questions and funnel the info to them so they already have as much info as possible by the time they arrive on scene so they have an idea about what they’re walking into. Dispatch doesn’t wait til all of their questions are asked/answered before dispatching the first responders. It’s been SOP for many years.
They did..? They said multiple times they they were “on the way”
@@arwenevenstar0761 Nah, he didn't immediately send them. The 911 operator said he thought the call was a prank, but after she said it was a chimp attacking her friend (for the millionth time), he sent them. The chimp part is a deep childhood core memory for me. Actually think about that incident every now and then so I instantly found it familiar when I saw the video in my recommendations.
They're not 'cute' at all, especially chimps they're literal psychos... Apes are extremely strong, even the small ones, don't mess around with them.

11:48 pisses me off how the dispatcher has been clearly told she's bleeding and then continues to repeat to ask the same questions smh
Ikr it just stresses things out caller out even more just listen
If they gave dispatcher lunches, reasonable amount of hours every week instead of over doing it, and increased the pay, maybe you could keep more experienced ones. But they don't, they run the good ones out all the time the turn over rate stays high, and you always have new inexperienced dispatchers. That's what you get when people don't want to pay . I'm much happier now that I don't dispatch anymore. I get a lunch now and work monday through friday 8 to 5. Never going back. And I know how to dispatch very well.
Just like the dispatcher in Travis’s case. Smdh
@@memp9786 You get what you pay for. :) They don't want to pay what it takes to keep a good dispatcher, so the turnover rate will remain very high and you will always have novice inexperienced dispatchers. The bare minimum is what they will pay for so that is what they have.
