The problem is that even with a 35% price cut the vehicles are still crap. If you buy one go ahead and take the service manager some donuts. You’ll be seeing a lot of them so it’s good to start off on the right foot.
@@PunisherSS Under the Carlos era, they destroyed their supplier relationships. They forced suppliers to make sub-part components due to their pricing pressure in order to boost their profits. Agreed but keep in mind that the average new car/truck increase was about 2.5 % so over 6 years is 15%. So if they cut by 35% they would be back in line with normal prices IF they went up only 50%. Some models went up 60% and therefore to me anyway, they are still over priced a bit. But we can at least negotiate that and then make a decision if we fell it is worth it. Dodge and Ram are way better than any lame over priceed Ford or Chevy. You do know Ford and Chevy and every other brand aren't selling anything either. But you go ahead and keep pushing your bs.
I’ll be honest, given the glitchy tech in this latest generation of Stellantis vehicles I don’t think 35% would even be worth it. Every day we get more news about issues with these train wrecks. I’m so glad I held on to my old 16 JK Rubicon and picked up a clean, used 2017 2500 Big Horn for a truck. There was zero chance I’d trade a dependable Jeep in on one of these things. For the price the new 2500s are going for now I got my Rubicon brand new and my used 2500. Now I’ve got two vehicles and they are both more reliable than this crap. 35% off still doesn’t make up for the 54% price increase. Add to that the continuing decline in quality? You’re still overpaying for a vehicle that will be nothing but headaches at 35% off.
Um. Maybe you are not good with numbers. 70,000+50%=105,000 105,000-35%=68,250 So 35% off is (More) Than a 50% increase. But yes! Dependability is worth even more ...

You're spot on. And I also love the idea of disrupting the car market like this; Car prices are completely unacceptable these days and it's going to take a sledgehammer to reset it
TK, we all knew that prices had been inflated to the moon. For those of us in the industry we know how much it actually costs to build a car and this pricing was unsustainable. On an 80k pickup truck the price could be cut by 50% and manufacturers will still be wildly profitable. My guess is 35% is a teaser to see if they can lure people back to the market. There is still a fair bit of room to move.
I stopped buying new vehicles when they started being above $50k. I am still driving a 2005 Ram 1500 that I bought in 2007. I gave $13k for it, and it had 24k miles on it at the time. Now, 267k miles are on it.
I welcome the 35% cut! Maybe they'll stop trying to sell $50K vehicles for $100K from now on. The truth is that they've been gouging people from the suppliers right down the line to the customers; and they've been doing it for years. The dealers are just the most egregious and blatant at it.

I am planning to buy used Summer of '25. Might wait a little longer to see the prices go down when compared to new with this discount. I hope you're right TK.
With Carlos gone they can finally make some money, better than no money with inventory sitting and not selling. Smaller margins are better than no margins.
,Tk has always been on point. That's why I hang out here. I will be in the market for a Shorty V8 in the summer of 2025. Will Ram have one available by then. Idk? We will see. I have always loved V8s and muscle cars but,at 6'-1" I fit just a little better in a truck. I also like to be a little higher off the ground and the cargo bed comes in handy. I can easily throw a set of slicks in the bed with a floor jack. I also think slightly lowered muscle trucks just look cool man. After all, I am a Texan.
Drove be my local Chrysler/Jeep dealer in Woburn, Massachusetts today. They had parked out front was a brand new Grand Wagoneer . on the windshield in bold numbers. $30,000 off.
And its still probably 70k which most people still can't afford. At 70k it's more in line with suburban expeditions etc. For that price point most are not buying the jeep
This was always going to be the inevitable outcome of the price standoff between STLA and the market itself. When the market says no, there’s only one way a company makes it through that and that’s by bending the knee. They held on for far longer than anyone thought they would and lost probably another 3-4 billion in the process but at the end of the day they had to yield to the consumer.
Dunno why people don't think 35% is doable when MSRP on these vehicles has gone up by over 50% the last few years AND quality has gone down. That's the other problem that Stellantis has..... the lack of quality.
Southeast CDJR dealer here. We just sold our last 2024 Durango Hellcat for $20,000 off last week. Also, we have been thousands back of cost for months. It all has to go! We also have zero adds. No etch, paint protection tint or anything. The vehicles are exactly as they were unloaded from the delivery truck.
So let me ask you this ans give us an honest answer. Why couldn't cdjr just price the vehicles more in line with the market 2 years ago. Why hold out until panic mode sets in. I think all of this could have easily been prevented 2 years ago. Why wait till the ship is going under to grab a bucket and bail water
Good video. Great Info! The cut MUST happen. I bought a 2023 GMC 3500 Denali Dually for 88k. I did have the luxury of having a 2018 Ford F250 that I got a premium for and was able to use that to pay for the bulk of the Denali. Denali was all they had due to chip issues. I said that to say this. Yes, if they cut prices aggressively then it is going to hurt the resell value of my truck. But this needs to happen. This has to happen. I will lose money on this truck but right now my wife wants a new SUV. We don't have the luxury of having a car that we could sell for a premium like we had with the Ford F250. So, I would rather just take the hit on the truck now so that I can buy a new SUV and a new truck in the near future at fair prices. We like to switch cars every 3-5 years. Right now, she is sitting on a 2020 Honda CRV that is now over 65k miles so no warranty whatsoever. And with my diesel trucks, when the warranty on the powertrain is over, I'm getting a new truck. Never want to get caught with a 10-15k diesel engine repair bill. So, I am rooting for RAM and Jeep to cut prices. RAM was willing to cut me a decent deal when I bought the GMC however, I couldn't deal with those mirrors on the 2022 (The 2023 were not out yet) while pulling my 5th wheel toy hauler. RAM fixed that. The one thing for me they have not fixed is the seat. For the love of God RAM why cany you guys make the seat go lower? It's all over the forums. We don't want to look out of the top of the windshield. This cost them a sale last time at the prices they were sitting at to not get exactly what I wanted.
These extremely greedy dealerships are paying the price for inflating those car prices. They're pathetic and I have no sympathy for them. Additionally, the quality sucks! Gone are the days when quality mattered.
After watching this, I went to my RAM dealers website and it looks like they're knocking $9,500 off on these higher end trims. When I bought my Laramie brand new in 2014, they knocked 9,500 off the sticker as the representatives were at the dealer.
I was looking at getting a 2021 Ram 3500. If the 35% discount comes, then new 2024/2025 would be the better deal. Thank you TK. Keep up the good work and keep us posted, please.
It will be advertised as "Up to" 35% and that will only applie to the highest trim vehicles that are slowest to sell. The lower to mid trims wont get much more than 10 to 15% if that
I'll tell you what, I watch you, oc, AND butter's youtube channels. You did tell the truth, your ALL right. Butter got correct news ONE YEAR IN ADVANCE!!! I trust you fellas.
35% below the competition is where CDJR needs to be to account for their trash quality. If ford and GM lower their prices CDJR will have to lower them more. Now their resale will crash even harder. Haha
35% is a good start, but some vehicles have been overpriced above that. Then again Stellantis has to fix the quality issues, regain consumer trust and make vehicles that customer wants. This will take time but it can be done. That being said Tim if you listening make a Ram TRX with the 392 V8 (or Magnum) under $55K then take my money :)
The most I'm seeing with discounts on Ram 1500s is abot $11k off of a $78k MSRP. This if from the #1 Ram dealership in Texas. That's just a 15% discount. It's the same at the Jeep store with the Wagoneer, but they don't have any Grand Wagoneers in stock.I hope Stellantis does cut MSRP, but I'm very skeptical of the 35% claim.
That will change soon. Come Feb March April next year when all these 2023 ans 2024 trucks are still unsold even with 15% discounts they will have no choice but to offer larger discounts. My local Ford and ram dealer right now have enough 2024 model trucks to last until the end of 2025. Sad really
Even at 35% off they are still much higher than just a year or two ago. Vehicles have increased 20% over the rate of inflation in the last dour years when you add in the inflation of another 20% prices have increased 40%. That is an average Dodge is way over the average.
Discounts should subtract from INVOICE. Invoice is suggested dealer cost. MSRP is bragging rights on the sticker only. Still not what was paid, so they still make $.
Vehicles are almost never an asset and never should be treated as such. They depreciate almost always, sometimes bigly. Buy smart buy used unless it’s a smokin deal with low interest
So..... when should the 35% hit? My local dealers, depending on how long the vehicle has been on the lot, are at about 1/2 that today. I'm holding out.
I don't believe dealers will take a BIG loss on the leftovers just to clear the lots in expectation of cheaper 2026 models. I was expecting Stella to provide financial support (dealer discounts)...and doesn't look like it's going to happen. Will there be individual cases of big savings ? Of course...you always see adds with the fine print saying 2 available at price quoted.
Why would people care if the vehicles go down in price...pay cash like I do for new and if the price goes up or down it doesn't affect me. I have never NEEDED to trade or sell a vehicle to buy a NEW vehicle. I also keep my vehicles for a long time. Bought my truck new in 2017, plan to have it still in 2037...LOL Wife got a new vehicle in 2021, and we will have that till 2041'ish or longer. Poor people financing vehicles is just funny to me.
So are prices going to come down for existing inventory? I've seen some cuts but metro detroit dealers are still playing hard ball because of all of the employee buyers who they don't get to negotiate with.
Tesla did this. Everyone freaked out when Tesla dropped their pricing twice in 12 months. Then people got over it and they kept selling cars. The pandemic is over. Time to get rational on pricing.
On a happy note, with 35% price reduction, there will be a little room to pad your trade. Next time don't pay rich people prices, for new broken technology.
Once all those stale , new Chargers, Challengers and 300s are the dealers are gone, they’re going to wish they had them back. They may have sold slowly due to dealer greed but that’s nothing compared to the snail’s pace the overpriced EV Challenger Daytonas will sell at. The dealers better hope that the Jeeps, Pacificas and Rams sell extremely well once the gas-powered cars are gone. They’re gonna need them.
These brands will be lucky to exist in five years, and definitely won’t be around in 10. Sorry adding V8’s and only selling to Americans can’t save them. Chevy, Ford, and Chrysler can’t live off Americans alone, just can’t happen. Legacy auto is dead.
My local CDJR dealer has slashed prices on their 22 and 23 models but still at around MSRP for 24 and 25 models though. They also have two of the new EV Chargers, want $70k for them 🤣
This is no different than the people who spent $3500 on a plasma TV (when plasma was new technology), only to have them reduced to $1200 the following year...
Double edged sword. The cuts will be welcome to clear 23-24 inventories, however, the vehicles 2022- 2024 are going to be hard to resell, and depreciation values will take a big dive because of the quality problems. Stellantis should also offer a 0% refinance loan to make up for the underwater loans
The problem is that even with a 35% price cut the vehicles are still crap. If you buy one go ahead and take the service manager some donuts. You’ll be seeing a lot of them so it’s good to start off on the right foot.
Enjoy lemon law worthy junk and parts shortages as all are diverted to pump out more versus repair already bought ones.
That's why Stellantis is trying to go back to their quality parts suppliers, so that the quality issues come to a half. Use your brain.

If a dealer has vehicles sitting on its lot for 300+ days, it's no ones fault but their own.
If any car sits on a lot more than 100 days it means there is a price problem ans there is 0 demand for that vehicle at that price.

Lets not forget they raised msrp over 50% in 4 years so 35% really isnt that great of a deal.
If I build out a 24/25 with the same specs as my 17 35%off makes the 24/25 cheaper than what I paid for my 17
That cut would be in line with current inflation rates i believe
Car costs $10.
Raise price by 50% ($5), new price is 15 (10+5).
Cut $15 price by 35% (10x.65)=$9.75
It’s simple math y’all.
It won't matter if they drop 35% off of MSRP.

Same thing going on with houses near me. People paying 700k+ for homes that were 400k when I bought mine back in 2017. Same house, nothing changed.
so true and the property taxes go up yr over yr still a $400k house
Let me blow your mind. I built my house in 2010 2100 sq ft with a full basement for $192k geothermal heat pump also included in that price.

Tbh Tk has the real inside information and all the people he knows. How many times has this man been RIGHT? Just saying. Let the cuts commence😂
Here in central Ohio they are not cutting prices much at all 2024 rebel still 60 to 70
Hopefully dealers won't raise by 50%
A vehicle sitting on your lot for more than 365 days is a tell tell sign something is wrong 😂

It was inevitable, I would also suspect it to could go lower than 35%
Discounts should subtract from INVOICE.
Old products and outdated is a loss loss situation. Cuda’
So..... when should the 35% hit? My local dealers, depending on how long the vehicle has been on the lot, are at about 1/2 that today. I'm holding out.
Stellantis needs to get market share back and clear dealer lots. Cutting prices is all they do.That is the hard truth.
Stellantis needs to bring the very popular Fiat Panda 4x4 to the us.
The thing is how can you find a leftover challenger scat?
Call every dealer in the U.S.?
I guess the doubt comes from knowing just how slimy dealerships are.
Especially when some dealerships are still pushing addendum stickers.
35 % is a start, but remember - these cars and trucks have been sitting a long long time.
There will be issues, many that arise. Is it worth it?
I don't believe dealers will take a BIG loss on the leftovers just to clear the lots in expectation of cheaper 2026 models.
I was expecting Stella to provide financial support (dealer discounts)...and doesn't look like it's going to happen.
Will there be individual cases of big savings ? Of course...you always see adds with the fine print saying 2 available at price quoted.
Should call it the Tavares sale!
Nope
👍YES SIR!👍
My Dogs name is
Sparta.
On a happy note, with 35% price reduction, there will be a little room to pad your trade. Next time don't pay rich people prices, for new broken technology.
Man i love TK
Once all those stale , new Chargers, Challengers and 300s are the dealers are gone, they’re going to wish they had them back.
They may have sold slowly due to dealer greed but that’s nothing compared to the snail’s pace the overpriced EV Challenger Daytonas will sell at.
The dealers better hope that the Jeeps, Pacificas and Rams sell extremely well once the gas-powered cars are gone. They’re gonna need them.
Nothing changes until msrp is seriously lowered across the board. People are sick of this price ot insane and wait for a discount model of sales
These brands will be lucky to exist in five years, and definitely won’t be around in 10. Sorry adding V8’s and only selling to Americans can’t save them. Chevy, Ford, and Chrysler can’t live off Americans alone, just can’t happen. Legacy auto is dead.
I'll wait awhile to make another vehicle purchase from Dodge...prices are still too high...I glad I bought my 2020 392 when I did..and it's paid off..
Just more opportunity for dealers to add costs.
35% off is a dream lol
My local CDJR dealer has slashed prices on their 22 and 23 models but still at around MSRP for 24 and 25 models though. They also have two of the new EV Chargers, want $70k for them 🤣
2023 Jailbreak Hellcat in my area for 69k
This is no different than the people who spent $3500 on a plasma TV (when plasma was new technology), only to have them reduced to $1200 the following year...
I know a couple of people who were upside down on their trade in, now they're really going to be cooked.
They have no choice but to lower the prices. What took them so long?
It is understandable why people are so skeptical.
When are the cuts coming? Now? A week? 4 weeks? 8 weeks?
They have to cut Deep to sell what people don’t want The quality is still garbage
