See! I can comment too!! Thank you all so much for watching Scott The Woz throughout the past year. 2022 was a very difficult year for me as I’ve been severely struggling with time management. While the weekly schedule of previous years was not sustainable, the “experiment” this year with just putting episodes out when they were done and not worrying about meeting a deadline, while sounding less stressful on paper, it somehow ended up being far more draining for me than ever before. I always felt like I wasn’t doing enough and instead of having more time off, I oddly found myself at the computer this year more often, many times fixating on small edits that nobody even noticed probably because I was thinking, “Oh, I have more time now, so I have GOT to make these videos perfect!”. But in the end, while I’m immensely proud of my quality of work this year, I felt I didn’t innovate and evolve my style and production as much as I would’ve hoped. I think 2022 was a good year for quality, standard Scott The Woz episodes, but I’d like 2023 to have far more variety like previous years. Typical episodes, new styles of episodes, longer episodes, shorter episodes, etc. I really want to focus on my content specifically in the next year, which does mean I’m not sure if I will have time for another merchandise for charity event or a convention appearance in 2023. Right now I really just want to make my videos, feel really good about them and have fun making them, rather than be stressed out that the episode I’ve been working on for the past two weeks still isn’t done and I just want it to be finished and over with so I can move onto the next thing. That’s what 2022 felt like which made it an incredibly draining year for me. I think I work far better with a very specific schedule, which is something I am going to be focusing on over the next month or two as I prepare for 2023. As I get older, I want to ensure I have a schedule that works for all of you and works for me, as I have to fit big boy adult things into my week more than ever before now. When I eventually have children I don’t want to be at my computer for 16 hours a day like I have been this year, but I also want to ensure I can keep doing this because, well..this is my dream! Anyways, I apologize for the ramble about 2022 and also for the inconsistencies this year. This Christmas special got crazy delayed due to the amount of work going into the final episodes of 2022, a silly, stupid power outage that lasted WAY longer than I wanted and, of course, the holidays as a whole taking a lot of time away from being able to work on these things. I have not been happy with delaying episodes and I hope this will not happen again, but sometimes, things like this happen, and while I need to be okay with it, I do want to get back to having strict deadlines. Maybe less strict than in previous years, but more strict than in 2022. With that being said, thank you all for sticking with me, and I hope 2023 is gonna be both A year and THE year. Thankfully, it’s already A year so we’re already 50% there.

It makes me glad Scott hasn’t tried to push his content past the usual homemade productions. Not only does it give his videos a genuine and recognizable style…but also means more money to spend on a new PS5 to destroy for a millisecond gag.

It's also funny how like 20 seconds passed between the question and the response at that timestamp.
Fun fact: during the Ninjabread Man section of this video, Scott uses a version of the Ninjabread Man music that has the Nutshack theme laid over top of it, SiIvaGunner style. This happens to be the exact same song that was used in a previous Wii Shovelware video. Scott later clarified that the initial usage was a mistake, but in this case, given how Scott loves to make callbacks to previous episodes, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it was intentional this time. Either that, or he just used the same track he already had downloaded by mistake and forgot that it wasn't the actual track. In any case, that's really funny

When I was a kid, I played the first level of Nickelodeon Party Blast and thought that having a food fight in the Krusty Krab was the coolest thing in the world. I recall hearing that the explanation that ninja gingerbread man and the other similar platformers, all in 'themed' worlds, were originally going to be part of a Zool game, but they failed to get the license/brand (they showed a tech demo but the holders of the license declined) so they took the little work they did on it, and just packaged it as standalone games.

As someone who has been working to collecting the whole Data Design Wii collection, this was a pleasant surprise to see this as the most anticipated Scott the Woz video of 2022̶3.

Even without factoring Orthodox Christmas in, Scott is still on time, as the Christmas season officially lasts from the First Advent Sunday up to the first Sunday after January 6th, which is coincidentally the same day he managed to upload.
So, while on the last available date, he was still on time.

At least Illumination has the redeeming qualities of having animation on par with Disney and Pixar, as well as being occasionally funny

Scott, I have to say that the characters you've created in these silly little youtube videos really are some of the best things I've ever watched and the quality of your videos is amazing. I love how I can talk about these characters as if they are people on a TV show because hell they are and I find it insane how you guys are so entertaining and that Scott Wozniak and Scott the Woz are completely different people so really I dont know much about you but I feel like I do because the character has helped me feel confident in how much I love older games and games that didnt hit humongous mainstream attention so I guess what I'm trying to say is thank you Scott Wozniak, the person, for creating this little world that made me so good about myself in a world where people dont quite understand the games I'm intrested in
this might be my favorite season finale, honestly. it's a humble subject but it's a great example of scott being passionate about some niche thing in the video game industry that probably 0 other people even know about much less care. add that with good callbacks to old episodes and scott's classic cast of friends and we got a winner on our hands.
