See! I can comment too!! Thank you all so much for watching Scott The Woz throughout the past year. 2022 was a very difficult year for me as I’ve been severely struggling with time management. While the weekly schedule of previous years was not sustainable, the “experiment” this year with just putting episodes out when they were done and not worrying about meeting a deadline, while sounding less stressful on paper, it somehow ended up being far more draining for me than ever before. I always felt like I wasn’t doing enough and instead of having more time off, I oddly found myself at the computer this year more often, many times fixating on small edits that nobody even noticed probably because I was thinking, “Oh, I have more time now, so I have GOT to make these videos perfect!”. But in the end, while I’m immensely proud of my quality of work this year, I felt I didn’t innovate and evolve my style and production as much as I would’ve hoped. I think 2022 was a good year for quality, standard Scott The Woz episodes, but I’d like 2023 to have far more variety like previous years. Typical episodes, new styles of episodes, longer episodes, shorter episodes, etc. I really want to focus on my content specifically in the next year, which does mean I’m not sure if I will have time for another merchandise for charity event or a convention appearance in 2023. Right now I really just want to make my videos, feel really good about them and have fun making them, rather than be stressed out that the episode I’ve been working on for the past two weeks still isn’t done and I just want it to be finished and over with so I can move onto the next thing. That’s what 2022 felt like which made it an incredibly draining year for me. I think I work far better with a very specific schedule, which is something I am going to be focusing on over the next month or two as I prepare for 2023. As I get older, I want to ensure I have a schedule that works for all of you and works for me, as I have to fit big boy adult things into my week more than ever before now. When I eventually have children I don’t want to be at my computer for 16 hours a day like I have been this year, but I also want to ensure I can keep doing this because, well..this is my dream! Anyways, I apologize for the ramble about 2022 and also for the inconsistencies this year. This Christmas special got crazy delayed due to the amount of work going into the final episodes of 2022, a silly, stupid power outage that lasted WAY longer than I wanted and, of course, the holidays as a whole taking a lot of time away from being able to work on these things. I have not been happy with delaying episodes and I hope this will not happen again, but sometimes, things like this happen, and while I need to be okay with it, I do want to get back to having strict deadlines. Maybe less strict than in previous years, but more strict than in 2022. With that being said, thank you all for sticking with me, and I hope 2023 is gonna be both A year and THE year. Thankfully, it’s already A year so we’re already 50% there.

I’m pretty sure that’s just his actor not being able to take Jerry’s lines seriously- (Or maybe him constantly smiling was an intentional character detail-)
I love that ironically, Data design interactive is one of the soulless sounding names you could give to a company, and scott dedicated a Christmas special made with ten times the heart and soul than the company uses when making games

It makes me glad Scott hasn’t tried to push his content past the usual homemade productions. Not only does it give his videos a genuine and recognizable style…but also means more money to spend on a new PS5 to destroy for a millisecond gag.

If Scott decides to take a three month long break in order to rest up and keep the continuity intact, I honestly wouldn’t even be mad, he’d deserve it 100%
Fun fact: during the Ninjabread Man section of this video, Scott uses a version of the Ninjabread Man music that has the Nutshack theme laid over top of it, SiIvaGunner style. This happens to be the exact same song that was used in a previous Wii Shovelware video. Scott later clarified that the initial usage was a mistake, but in this case, given how Scott loves to make callbacks to previous episodes, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it was intentional this time. Either that, or he just used the same track he already had downloaded by mistake and forgot that it wasn't the actual track. In any case, that's really funny

It's a Mustache combined with a growing beard. I call it the "Hollywood Hogan", even though it's not exactly that because it isn't a Handlebar mustache.
When I was a kid, I played the first level of Nickelodeon Party Blast and thought that having a food fight in the Krusty Krab was the coolest thing in the world. After that, it crashed and my PC never ran the game again so I was stuck thinking this was the greatest game of all time and was to forever be a forbidden fruit
Don’t get me wrong all of Scott’s videos are great and well put together, but this one to me is a classic Scott episode that got me laughing and smiling almost every second. I just gotta say it’s amazing how you guys write comedy, literally every jokes a banger and there’s multiple a second and you all deliver them perfectly and I could go on forever but it’s so crazy to me that you pull this off every episode every week that’s major talent
Even without factoring Orthodox Christmas in, Scott is still on time, as the Christmas season officially lasts from the First Advent Sunday up to the first Sunday after January 6th, which is coincidentally the same day he managed to upload. So, while on the last available date, he was still on time.

43 mins! No freakin wonder it kept getting delayed. Scott and the team are absolute work horses. Editing is so dang time consuming, I should know, I'm procrastinating on editing right now lol
So refreshing to read a creator suffering severely from time management and not depression 😊 Take all the time you need Scott and never stop loving what you do
I recall hearing that the explanation that ninja gingerbread man and the other similar platformers, all in 'themed' worlds, were originally going to be part of a Zool game, but they failed to get the license/brand (they showed a tech demo but the holders of the license declined) so they took the little work they did on it, and just packaged it as standalone games.
I know Scott was insecure/disappointed about this being released late, but it honestly feels kinda special getting a Christmas video when you aren't cluttered with them. 😂
Considering the video ends with him being late (4 months late) I thought it was absolutely hilarious, and made me even happier that it was late in a way
Hey, Scott! I just wanted to chime in here today as both a huge fan of your work ethic as well as a fellow Ohioan who watched the power fa-la-la-la fail around the holidays at like, the worst time (I’m a Senior in College and a freelance animator, so I 100% also felt the deadline passing guilt.) Scott, your work is amazing, and while I’m glad to hear you’re always striving for more I really hope this year is the year you have a big moment of realization that your upload schedule isn’t the main reason we’re here. You are a genuine talent, Scott. I know people who have cited you as one of the reasons they got into things like video editing, reviewing, and even voice acting (Yeah, really, I was surprised when I heard that one too!). I’ve similarly heard you cited as the reason people have picked up games that they would never play otherwise, the reason people got back to playing classic games, and for some including myself part of the reason they got back into things like game collection or even just *playing games*. Those are all well and good, but the most important one is that, while I won’t say I’ve met anyone who has said this (I might have, but it wouldn’t be my place to share), for some people your optimism and genuine passion for creation has gotten a lot of people through tough times and maybe even have ended up being a small part of getting someone out of bed that day to face the world. Now, I’m not going to claim I even remotely know you, I don’t and parasocial relationships are hokey as heck, but as someone who themselves lives with that ever-present deadline dread to the point where it affected my health pretty badly last year, I’m sure you hear it from those around you but perhaps hearing it from someone detached who *doesn’t* have that personal connection might help: A Professor once taught me that time management is not just about scheduling time to work, it’s about scheduling times to stop. Working without deadlines is all well and good sometimes, but it also means there is no end in sight and there’s no scheduled in moment where you get to be done. One of the best things you can do for both a schedule and yourself is having a cut-off point, that way progress is always moving forward. I’ve been subscribed on one account or another since your second video appeared in my timeline, and you know, it wasn’t because you put out intricate 40 minute videos every upload where you kept outdoing yourself with shiny new effects. They’re fucking awesome, don’t get me wrong, but many of us came to this channel for you, your friends, and your voice. I hope you take it easier than on yourself this year, forgive yourself more, and allow yourself more time to put down the “TH-cam Personality” and just be yourself. You’ve got an audience here that waits for your stuff, if you need us to wait more so you can stay happy, then that’s just what we’ll do. Merry January 8th, Scott.
This has probably been my favorite Scott the Woz season so far, the character growth throughout the series is the most notable here, and it just, warms my heart. Happy Holidays, Scott, Sam, Eric, Dominic, Justin, Joe, Kate and everyone that contributes to this series.
Four years ago, Folding Ideas made a whole video about Data Design's American Tail, so it's nice to finally see the context that game existed in. Merry Christmas!
As someone who did a Ninjabread Man Versus series with my buddy back in 2012, I can put myself in the Guy Who Beat Ninjabread Man in 20 Minutes half of the screen and your reaction is completely accurate
That ending sequence is professional af! Felt like I was watching a Christmas special. Loved the episode! Take a fucking break Scott. We'll be here waiting patiently.
Scott, your quality of videos has grown so much over the past years! I am so impressed with the work you do and envy you highly. Your someone I aspire to be, and frankly I hope someday we can maybe cross paths. Your videos have gotten me through some really tough times, whether it be when I was battling depression over the course of 2022, or whether I’m just chilling out with some friends and you just put a smile on our faces with your comedy. I honestly can’t thank you enough for everything you’ve done for so many people, it warms my heart to think that people like you still exist and are still here in this world. The world can seem pretty cruel sometimes, but honestly when all seems lost, it’s just the little things like opening up TH-cam and then seeing a dumb little meme about Gex or something that’ll remind me that the world ain’t all half bad. So, thanks Scott. Here’s to another season, and hopefully with you in a better place work wise!! ✌️
Ah, I can see now why this took so long. That opening alone is nice. Also, that scream at 8:06 could rival Tom from Tom and Jerry and/or Matt Watson from SuperMega.

I just gotta say it’s amazing how you guys write comedy, literally every jokes a banger and there’s multiple a second and you all deliver them perfectly and I could go on forever but it’s so crazy to me that you pull this off every episode every week that’s major talent
We love and appreciate you, Scott. Take care of yourself and do whatever you need to do - we'll still be here, no matter your schedule
I like how the ending was literally "The real Data Design was the friends along the way"
I'll always stand by the fact that you never fail to produce quality content, Scott. Merry Christmas!
Scott and friends playing jeapordy is always so funny
This is the best “Merry Christmas, Data Design” video Scott has ever made!
I know right?
Even without factoring Orthodox Christmas in, Scott is still on time, as the Christmas season officially lasts from the First Advent Sunday up to the first Sunday after January 6th, which is coincidentally the same day he managed to upload.
So, while on the last available date, he was still on time.
Scott today is Orthodox/Ukrainian Christmas so technically you aren't late thanks for putting out an amazing episode👍
happy orthodox christmas!
Of course, it's not late! It's early for this year.
You mean with the old calendar
Great for all the Ukrainian soldiers in the trenches who need to know about wii shovelware
Addionally mentions Ukraine instead of just Orthodox for those virtue signal brownie points.
Watching this on April 16th 2023 is unnerving
His work is always improving it's amazing how even the old episodes are so high quality. I hope he gets a theatrical movie one day
The dark age of Nintendo trilogy is as long as a feature-film so…
Borderline Forever is practically a movie. Still my favorite video he's ever released.
"Scott the Woz the Movie"
So cool to see Tee Lopez doing music for this know how insanely good he did with Sonic Mania
Also Streets of Rage 4 and TMNT Shredder's Revenge
He broke a 160$ moniter for a skit, and that's not even the worst thing he broke over the years.
Why does it say Persona 5 R tho.
The PS2 still hurts me not gonna lie
He bought a cart full of cookies for a gag
@@Kosmicant I still remember rewatching that several times and hoping he gave it to family and friends and then wrote it off for tax purposes.
IT'S FUCKING MARIO KART AGAIN
*breaks 2ds*
26:17 "They basically have 4 tracks that are just repeated for the rest of the game except now it's NIGHTTIME or now you drive BACKWARDS"
Literally Mario Kart Tour
EXCUSE ME
you also forgot variants that adds like 10 ramps and they call it "trick" variants
it changes the level entirely smh
@@dubtoshi It does change the track, but it looks really ugly, especially in Mario Kart 8
@OfflineScottTheWoz2 this was like 2 months
@@kirklinguinihoodinithecubo8525 better late than never right
Did data design make a s**t remake of gba Sky Garden?
“It’s a Monopoly, and you disagree….We’ll I don’t “
- Scott the Wozopoly
Lol
43 mins! No freakin wonder it kept getting delayed. Scott and the team are absolute work horses.
Editing is so dang time consuming, I should know, I'm procrastinating on editing right now lol
So refreshing to read a creator suffering severely from time management and not depression 😊 Take all the time you need Scott and never stop loving what you do
"so refreshing to read a creator suffering severely from time management"
That might’ve come out wrong
This is the most comment I've ever seen
That is definitely a take 😬😬😬
"So refreshing to see that he got raped instead of having his hands amputated"
I recall hearing that the explanation that ninja gingerbread man and the other similar platformers, all in 'themed' worlds, were originally going to be part of a Zool game, but they failed to get the license/brand (they showed a tech demo but the holders of the license declined) so they took the little work they did on it, and just packaged it as standalone games.
7:00 knowing how difficult this video was to produce makes this bit so much more funny and self-aware
I know Scott was insecure/disappointed about this being released late, but it honestly feels kinda special getting a Christmas video when you aren't cluttered with them. 😂
nah its late christmas is over
@@Laws2 Rude
Considering the video ends with him being late (4 months late) I thought it was absolutely hilarious, and made me even happier that it was late in a way
Hey, Scott! I just wanted to chime in here today as both a huge fan of your work ethic as well as a fellow Ohioan who watched the power fa-la-la-la fail around the holidays at like, the worst time (I’m a Senior in College and a freelance animator, so I 100% also felt the deadline passing guilt.)
Scott, your work is amazing, and while I’m glad to hear you’re always striving for more I really hope this year is the year you have a big moment of realization that your upload schedule isn’t the main reason we’re here.
Now, I’m not going to claim I even remotely know you, I don’t and parasocial relationships are hokey as heck, but as someone who themselves lives with that ever-present deadline dread to the point where it affected my health pretty badly last year, I’m sure you hear it from those around you but perhaps hearing it from someone detached who *doesn’t* have that personal connection might help:
A Professor once taught me that time management is not just about scheduling time to work, it’s about scheduling times to stop.
Scott's dedication to abruptly destroying electronics for his videos will never cease to amaze me
This has probably been my favorite Scott the Woz season so far, the character growth throughout the series is the most notable here, and it just, warms my heart.
I can't wait to see what Scott's 2023 looks like, I love standard episodes but I love when he branches out even more
Agreed
The Christmas Episodes are always a blast.
As someone who did a Ninjabread Man Versus series with my buddy back in 2012, I can put myself in the Guy Who Beat Ninjabread Man in 20 Minutes half of the screen and your reaction is completely accurate
I instantly knew tee lopes made that song at the end. It reeks of his amazing musical style. That's awesome that you worked with him scott!
9:10 breaks a TV for a quarter second gag and makes a Persona 5 joke. Amazing
I was so shook when that moment came
😮
It was Persona 5 Royal TV from one of the prior episodes where he wrote it on the screen.
That ending sequence is professional af! Felt like I was watching a Christmas special. Loved the episode! Take a fucking break Scott. We'll be here waiting patiently.
"Who was Mozart's Italian Rival?"
Scott: Wozart?
Salieri: Go ahead! Mock me! But it wasn't Scott the Woz laughing at me. It was GOD!
Didn't happen anyways, invention of that movie
Can't wait for the commentary of this episode in Scott's Stash.
I'm sure Scott has A LOT to say.
Can't wait to see the bloopers of that TV smashing gag
Now that this is out I can officially take down all my Christmas Decorations. Its never over till Scott posts
This was worth the wait. I turned on the christmas lights, drank my weight in rum, and called my parents just to make sure everything felt right.
20:42 As a former child, I can confirm that I used to watch Cars over and over again
As another former child, I can also confirm. I used to watch chicken little a ton
For me it was wall e
Friday the 13th
Seeing Scott post a christmas video half a month after christmas just warms my heart
Data design is scott's version of the nerds enemy LJN
This is the bloodiest Scott the Woz episode so far. I want more.
Scott has found his own personal version of LJN. So proud of him!
tbh, that was Chibi Robo: Zip Lash.
I'd argue Rerez had more of an agenda with these.
It is the fourth episode of shovelware however tho.
Scott, you're just incredible. Never change.
10:06 i like how you can tell there wasnt enough space for this answer so the screen was just zoomed in
Remember, a Scott the Woz episode is for life, not just for Christmas.
It’s truly time to say goodbye to 2022. Thank you Scott for giving us such high quality content. Hope you get a well deserved rest for working so hard, thanks for being awesome always and Merry Christmas! (It counts)
It here guys. Thank you Scott for always bringing us great content. I hope this break helps you and looking forward for what's to come in the future.
props on that intro, the fact that they managed to get a shot without laughing is already one hell of an acting achievement, for a ScottTheWoz production
YES!!!! What a way to end the season and the year. Thank you for all these videos and insane amount of effort and heart that you put into them. Long live Scott the Woz!
Facts fellow Jake
major facts. Here’s to 2023
Que viva!
This is a better gift than any of my Christmas presents, Thank you so much Scott!
I'm so happy Scott posted the Christmas special just in time for the Orthodox Christmas
This is the earliest christmas special ever. It's only January.
