They are layup spots to hit the ball too because you’re not going to make a power one but beautiful photo Bruce please use imperial while in the United States, Marcus Crawford, thank you
Haha. That was a little scary a couple of times there, Marcus. Of course I have the advantage of watching your flight after the fact and on a large monitor. Your audio is talking about the power lines that I'm looking at and hoping you see them soon cause they seem to be looming closer as you continue flying. But it all worked out, of course. What a beautiful area to show us!! Thank you for a great and interesting flight. //Tom
Very nice Golf Course. All green with the surrounding brown. They must have a heck of a well drilled to provide that much water from the aquifer. Loke you said, "How the other half lives". Thanks for sharing.
It's great to watch the video and have that memory of the good old days when life was a whole lot simpler. Enjoy coz life will never be like those days ever again
Marcus, love your videos. I am actually in Boise/Meridian area today and tomorrow. Would love to meet up in the later afternoon if you’d like and have time!
@@IdahoQuadcopter No problem! Got some good flying this evening! It was nice with the passing storm. I’ll be back in July, maybe we can meet up at the In N Out!
Thank you so much Marcus. You have some beautiful country out there. I'm in Florida, all flat land. You are a better person then me flying around power lines. They scare me to death. Thanks again. :)
I live in Florida too! The terrain for drone flying can be quite boring. But the weather is preferable in winter than where Marcus lives. But when the weather is good in Idaho, Marcus has great places to fly. It makes me want to take a trip out there!!
More interesting country to enjoy! I thought for a moment that you were going to fly between the power lines and the single ground wire that runs along the top. I think you would have made it but the pucker factor that would cause would have been off the chart! How do you sync the screen recording with the camera video so well? You switch seamlessly back and forth between the camera video and the screen recording. How do you do that?
Awesome location, the goof course looked so good I wanted to play, and I don't golf. The Mini 4 Pro did good, but you may have been better off with the Air 3 for this flight, you could have used the 3x tele cam to get in tighter, so you wouldn't have to fly your drone so low you started losing signal. And I never like flying around power lines that are so high I have to fly under them. Great video, thanks for sharing.
What a nice flight and golf course. The little circles are teeing areas for a hole. I'd love to fly that golf course as I do fly quite a few back up north..
Great video, Do you think my camera gimbal is ok if I forgot to pull the black padding in the back of the camera when it was new while turning it on? Are the motors ok?
love your videos marcus i bought a mini 3 a year ago. YOU got me into drones thank you. today i ordered the mini 4 thanks to you again. could you answer a question ? i have the flyapp on my iphone. can i add the new mini 4 on the same app/account therefore id have both drones on the same app or do they need to be seperate accounts ?
Somewhere between politics and soil conservation is the answer. Some trails in the Boise foothills allow motorcycles, some are reserved for bikes and foot traffic. Recently, directional traffic on some trails has been implemented to reduce conflict.
Hya Marcus, I did find it pecukir ro see you in the foothills, no snow and a short sleeve shirt in Feb 19 here, LOL. I was thinking this may have been shot long ago. I was watching almost screaming at you a few times because you flew with the camera looking down and I knew you had to be near the power lines and you ke[t looking down and climbing not seeing the power lines. I am really glad you STOPPED & took a look around winding back and I saw the power lines you had just flown under without saying a word. PHEW!!!! I see you were at 120 meters about take off altitude but you were not even close when in the mountains as all that 400 foot rule does not apply when going up a climb as you may not know. For example at 200 feet up sht side of the foothill allows you to be 600 feet about take off point but you do not know that. Just know if you return or pass that high area you must drop down back the 400 foot level. So the rules allow 400 feet of altitude where you are AT and that may much higher than 400 feet take off point. I am sure you saw Dad Random fly up Red Mountain flying at over 1,000 feet about his take off point. But as he returns he drops altitude as fast going down as well. You could have been at least 2 to 300 feet over those power lines as you would only be 350 over the mountain area at that time but maybe 600 feet over take off point. You were quite lucky being up there and not seeing your power line location, Thank GOD!! I always find your flights very rewarding as I am tired as heck tonight after doing a bunch of orders today, so saw your video and had a nice time enjoying except for the WATCH THE POWER yelling, HAHAHAHA LOL. I found it so odd after telling you my company web site about at least 1 year ago, orders started pouring in from around where you live and wondered if you put a ad fli=yer on the drone;s tail often. Idaho started coming in like mad and that site is about 35 years old but after mentioning it to you here it was amazing how many people found us afterward. GOD is good!!! I just wish HE intervened in Israel too! Thank from Ray from the flat lands of West Central Florida. I love that 4 Pro though. I purchased a set of 2 adjustable nd filters 1 - 5 begins at 2- then to 4,8,16,32; next one goes from 64 to 128,256, finally to 512. The settings are numbered 1,2,3,4,5 and second one 6,7,8,9 so you know what nd setting you have it set to. The old Pro 2 Mavic & the newer Mavic 3 also with Hasselblad really got it right though f-stop on the fly!!!! Chaaaaaaa I will NEVER sell that old Mavic 2 Pro with Hasselblad. I love that old bird!!! DJI is so wonderful it is hard to belive what they have done. Just so you know, a wide angle lense is good for close work and not distance because you loose much detail when going wide as you saw. It is also not fish-eyed to include good detail as yoou lose a lot. Wide andle work good at capturing say a home. This way you have more in the picture, and close enough for good detail. Say in a room a fish-eye would do well because it captures a wide area in a tight space doing fish-eye. Example of your wide angle shot, running through shot cut getting 1 frame and running it through photoshop with the shotcut image, then gigapixel creating a 24" print at about 400 megabytes in size at 400 dpi that woule be a hell of a wide angle, imaine that!!!! That's what I call a dream location to have a home, love that golf course. Awesome flight with the Mini 4 Pro 👍
Thank you for stopping by Alan!! Yes, you'd make short work of that golf course! 🙂
Great entertainment for my wife and me. We are sitting in O’Hare airport waiting for our flight.
Ha! Perfect George! I hope you're heading to someplace warm!

Thank you Tom! Yes, they are harder to see on the little FPV screen. 😄
one can only hope that no heavy rain in the mountains washes away the golf course.
Greetings from Bavaria
Thank you Karl. They built a very robust drainage system just for such an event.
Wao you always produce a new thing no repetition. Newbies. I'll start my mini 4 General soon.
Enjoy your day sir

Thank you Joe. They do keep that golf course green!
Hey Marcus, I envy you! Idaho is so beautiful and drone flying is fantastic! Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much! We do have some great places to fly!
Used to crush beers up there back in high school in the late 80’s 😂

How do you sync the screen recording with the camera video so well? You switch seamlessly back and forth between the camera video and the screen recording. How do you do that?
Thank you Fred. All of my audio and video syncronizing is done in post production. It just takes a little time to make sure it's right. 👍

Very nice flight from a beautiful spot Marcus. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks again Bob!
My heart always skips a beat when I see power lines come into view on my screen as it did when you saw them come into view.
Very true! 😉
Stunning location to fly Marcus and the Mini 4 Pro just WOW. I will be flying it in Scotland as soon as our weather gets better. Great flight
Ha! yes, we're all waiting for some better flying weather! 😀
Scary power lines! Close call !
I agree! 😄

What a nice flight and golf course. The little circles are teeing areas for a hole. I'd love to fly that golf course as I do fly quite a few back up north..
Ha! Thank you Gerry! I can't believe I didn't identify them as tee boxes. 😀
Thanks!
Thank you so much John!
Nice loc to fly your quad there, boss
Thank you! 👍
Good stuff Marcus. Do trees really make that much of an impact on signal? UK M4P flyer😊
Trees really reduce signal strength. I've been told it's because they're full of moisture, but I don't really know. I just know they're a challenge.
Great video, Do you think my camera gimbal is ok if I forgot to pull the black padding in the back of the camera when it was new while turning it on? Are the motors ok?
It should be fine Timothy. Just reboot it. 👍

Thank you so much! The same account works for both. The app will recognize which drone you're flying. 👍
Great video
Thank you sir!
Tienes que animarte a subir por uno de esos senderos y grabar desde arriba para no perder señal🚵🚵🚵
I agree, altitude is your friend for good signal. 👍
Do you plan to fly the Atom at that location, a comparison flight maybe
Not a bad idea!
Nice😊
Thank you 😊
How do you attach your voice to the video?
I use a DJI wireless mic and sync it up in the editing process. 👍
The UK would take up 9 tenths of Idaho area, so the have a little more choice than we do. I wonder why electric bikes are band, on those trails.
Somewhere between politics and soil conservation is the answer. Some trails in the Boise foothills allow motorcycles, some are reserved for bikes and foot traffic. Recently, directional traffic on some trails has been implemented to reduce conflict.
I don't know why they ban ebike there Derek. I can't imagine they'd be any harder on a trail than a regular bike.
@@markwestcott3414 Thank you Mark
@@IdahoQuadcopter Thank you .
Thats what I call being up Shitt Creek or I mean Crane Creek
Ha! Yeah, it's not much of a creek. 😂
Was this filmed today 2/19/2024😁
At the end of the video he explained that it was filmed in the fall and he put it up in Feb so we could have something to enjoy mid winter..
The flight was from last October. 🙂
I think that the little circles are where folks can tee off from. Different distances for different skill levels and sex.
I figured that out later, those are indeed tee boxes. Thank you Bob!
Mr. Crawford, am I missing something or, for you to make these flights, do you have to obtain a BVLOS waiver to make these amazing videos?
Safety is always top of mind for my flights. 👍
