From an outsider perspective begging in India seems like a complex issue and after talking to many locals I haven't gotten a definitive answer on how to deal with it. Sometimes you give depending on the situation, other times you don't which means some days you're "a good person" and others "a bad person". Often even on the same day. In this situation I was just perplexed at the rejection of money since I've seen how hard, long and for very little money many Indians still have to work. How do you deal with begging in your country India bhaees?
My take on this :- Giving them money encourages more begging and not working. Especially for beggars who are able bodied and seemingly healthy who choose not to work. There are organized begging Mafias behind these beggars who put innocent kids into begging business and take money from them. They are taught all the tricks in the book like targeting foreigners, narrating a sob family story etc. You can ask them if they need food, buy them some food instead. Also you can tip some poor men who are doing their job/business laboriously rather than begging. That'd be a much better help/charity than giving to beggars.
Huge respect! I highly appreciate the "Meanwhile in India"....segment you showed. You are surely a very mature vlogger in this category, second to none 🙌
You're such a natural vlogger, it's easy and fun to watch your videos. I think you should definelty promote this channel more in your other channel, a lot moto people would be interested also in these types of adventures. 🤟🏻
Right 100% true when my parents came from Tibet to India they had nothing they work as road construction in ladhak they work hard and today u check Tibetan community they all r settle well. In my family 3 brother in Canada and one brother is monk . 2 sister is married and settle in dharamsala. Me myself take caring of mom n dad n house in Karnataka
It is such a very good example you have shown us at the end of the video. please Ignore such kind of situations. Best way to donate money to charity that helps for homeless and disadvantages people.
Thanks mate for putting light on deep concern i.e. "Begging" while enjoying sweet faluda! :) For me, I don't give money to beggars personally as it seems that I'm contributing into promoting this issue. Instead, I request them to get in touch with NGO (Non Govt. Organizations) and they'll take care of there livelihood and jobs. But here, the real problem is not begging, it's the mindset of not working or doing anything but asking money to live across the globe. I saw here people in Berlin as well or even heard from other European and US countries, where many people asks for govt. aid or unemployment benefits to avoid doing any work. This mindset needs to be get changed.
Never encourage begging. This will create a bigger problem for other visitors in the future. The beggars' expectations keep going higher and they'll get abusive when you don't match their expectations. Vicious cycle. Just politely shake your head and pretend to be interested in something else. That's it.
My neighbourhood is mostly old people 50+, everybody used to give money, feed and provide clothing to beggars, until a organization started making a shelter 1 street below from mine, bro criminality increased so hard after that one shelter...We literally had to to home from home, get cellphones, organize a whole group of people who live in the sector, and instruct everybody to stop donating at all, to anyone, the safety of our homes were taken away because of good actions, now everybody is bitter and hates beggars here, I could see the sadness in people's eyes when they coudn't donate, now I see people telling No with a straight face, no space for arguing, this is just fucking sad tbh, I used to have plans to go make soup for those guys since I could easily make a project for homeless people and take government money for making it work, but nowadays? Bro fuck this, I would always look down on people who were rude to beggars, how the tables have changed, I just wanna be able to take my girlfriend home without thinking maybe I should get a gun, just wanna be able to hit the gym after 8p.m again because I'm socially crippled and night time was the best way to keep myself in a healthy lifestyle, it's really weird when you spend your whole life looking to an issue from a outside perspective, and suddenly you're inside the whole thing and your mind shifts entirely, like I couldn't give less of a fuck to people who will think less of me because of this, not after all those people have taken from me, my whole neighbourhood turned into a slum (Brasilia, Brazil)
I like ur vlogs. There is one saying that heart of India lies in its village so please come to Village and experience the life.I know it will be Little difficult to leave the luxury that are in the cities like Mumbai, delhi etc.but do something different you will fall in love. Please come to Odisha, India,i will love to give you company here and show u our lives.
dont give them money instead you can give them food if u like ....let me tell you man they have groups and family members roaming all around and together making their moeny combined they make a revenue of more than a million rupees easily .....( much more than many people all around india )
Eten is iets
Hey. If your going to be still around Vashi, Navi Mumbai. Lemme know I'll take you to some food places to eat. Ill be your guide for the weekend. 😇👍 Me and my wife enjoy seeing your vlog. Keep the spark alive. 🫶
I feel bad man sorry if you weren’t able to eat your falooda with the beggars interrupting you. My take would be to not give them money as it encourages them to continue this practice which is actually sad to see.
I was waiting for your video. Sorry but there was too much "Baba Falooda" in the video. 😂😂 Falooda is basically a type of dessert/Icecream!? So "Kesar" means "Saffron" in English, it is actually dried stigmas of that particular flower. And i must thank that guy in the white hoodie. He was really nice to both you and the beggars. Cheers Mate.
check out Badshah Colddrinks in kalbadevi mumbai , they were famous before baba falooda and let us know which one do you like most 😉😉and kudos to that white hoodie kid great mate.
beggars and con artist rarely if ever approach me. i'm close to two meters in height and am hyper aware of my surroundings My wife is a teacher and her students have said they are afraid to approach me , not because i'm scary looking but because they say there is a weird force field around me that makes them step back . pretty bizarre ? i giggle about it but beggars rarely approach me . 😳🤷♂️
@@MadlyRover Yes, you are absolutely right, people give mony, that's why many people do not work, because these people earn good money only by acting without working. I also request you not to give money to such people, if you want to help, then do it for someone who is working
@hire,,- it's also a huge problem in Europe. the most notorious are the Roma's from Romania . The men make the women do most of the work but step in if things get physical . it's a very serious problem all over Europe.

Even most charity in India are frauds..it's better to directly give money or donate food to hardworking poor families..
