I've been to India several times and have always come back to the West a more humble person. Most Indians are very friendly and have amazing levels of tolerance, just the opposite of westeners who are quick to temper and lose their cool.🙏

I advise not to travel to cities like Mumbai, they're not representative of India at all, they're more like a work hub. Also you're in the Muslim neighborhood, so even less representative. The heart of India is in it's villages, where 65% of it's 1.4 billion people live, much more family orientated. Each state has it's own variety of peoples, festivals, languages, and traditions. Festivals are especially beautiful, vibrant and lively with music, noise and huge crowds of women/girls with long flowing hair and bright, sparkling colourful clothes, dancing in unison. It's like a never ending sea of colours, their clothes make everywhere you look seem like a kaleidoscope 😊. Also, India can't be described as 'unusual' lol, it's how a lot of (probably most) countries around the world are and India alone is home to a 5th of the worlds people.

The video is a walking tour of Mumbai, where the host, Pablo, shares his experiences and observations about the city and its people. He talks about the climate (hot in summer, mild in winter), Indian culture (everyone smiles and tries to understand each other), and the country's geography (surrounded by oceans).
He also highlights some interesting facts about India:
The concept of zero as a number was invented there
Bollywood is the largest film industry in the world
The streets are alive with surprises at every corner
Throughout the video, Pablo shares his thoughts on the food (even simple dishes can be a cultural shock), people's kindness and curiosity towards Westerners, and the experience of watching a Bollywood movie.
He also plugs his social media channels, invites viewers to share their thoughts about India in the comments, and recommends a tour guide service for visiting Dharavi. Finally, he concludes the video with his name and a thank-you message. 😊

I love how you always say impossible in West, shocking as a westerner!
Whereas in reality Argentina has worse poverty, unemployment compared to India.
15% of the population of India is in poverty whereas in Argentina it's 35%.

    • @WannaWalk
      @WannaWalk  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Poverty in Argentina is currently at 53%, no 35% - Im Argentine. Now,,If you carefully listen to what I said in the video, I mentioned how poverty in India coexists with wealth in a way that’s almost impossible to see in Western countries. Do you think I could walk alone, freely and randomly, day and night, through a Brazilian favela, a Venezuelan chabola or an Argentine villa miseria, looking like a white tourist and holding an expensive camera and a backpack with more equipment, for hours without any issues? In India, if you’re a man (because things are different for a woman here) you’ll rarely face problems, even in the worst areas like this. Moreover, poverty in India is noticeably worse than in the West. I hope you visit India someday to understand how complex this country truly is.. please take care 🙂❤️

    • @HomiParsa-j7x
      @HomiParsa-j7x หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh really!
      Worse than the west?
If that's the truth are the data on poverty in India provides by the United Nations Development Programme, World Bank reports and surveys false?
They say 17% of the population of India is in poverty.
In fact India is having the fastest reduction of poverty rates globally.
If you think I am lying check it out yourself.
The country is literally having the fastest growing middle class.
1 billion Indians are in the lower middle class group. 240 million are in poverty.
The rest 300 million are in upper class or upper middle class.
If you say India has worse poverty then logically India should be termed as a low income nation.
But United Nations term India as a middle income nation.
      How's it possible?
Moreover I am a Persian Zoroastrian who lives in India aka Parsee. Parsees are a huge community in India. I have travelled throughout entire country.
What you are doing is focusing your camera on the back alleys of Mumbai and saying, " Hey Guys! This is how all of India looks like, there is poverty everywhere, smells, dirt, colours, that's what defines India, blah blah, blah!"
This is how you are presenting India.
You are simply ignoring the huge diverse country which lies beyond.
I don't understand for what specific reason you aren't going to Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand in the far Northwestern Himalayan regions of India.
Why don't you do a street walk in Srinagar ( Kashmir), Shimla ( Himachal Pradesh) , Leh ( Ladakh), Mussoorie ( Uttarakhand)? Why don't you bother going to Northeast India which is literally facing injustice from westerners by not being visited and has the true treasures of India?
Why are you ignoring Kerala, Chennai, Vizag, the hill stations in Nilgiri mountains like Ooty, Munnar, Doodhsagar?
You ignore them because these regions are beautiful with no dirty, slums and poverty and you always want to show India as a poor, dirty country. Am I right?
Or aren't you aware that these places exist in India?
If it's the second case then let me tell you these places form the majority of India in terms of land mass.
Delhi, Mumbai, Varanasi or certain other filthy, polluted cities which you love is no more than 2% of India's landmass. Vast majority of India is in rural areas.

Firstly why isn't it possible in Argentina to walk in slums like this?
I honestly don't know the reason.
Yes in America it's a problem in Los Angeles because it's high on drugs slum city.
Secondly you say that poverty in India is worse than the west?
      Data doesn't say that.
If that's the truth are the data on poverty in India provides by the United Nations Development Programme, World Bank reports and surveys false?
They say 17% of the population of India is in poverty.
In fact India is having the fastest reduction of poverty rates globally.
If you think I am lying you can check it out yourself.
I have travelled throughout the entire country.
      Literally all corners of India.
I am a realist man! I am not a nationalist promoting India or something like that.
If you wanna show a country show it completely with all its sides, not only the poor and chaotic side.
      You also take care ❤️

Hello. The challenge with India is that I often don’t fully understand what’s happening. Their culture is very different to mine, so most of the time I just can observe. I also enjoy when the local audience explains these things. I’ve tried interacting with locals, but they’re often shy around Westerners, especially when a camera is involved. Many also only speak Hindi, which I don’t understand 🤩❤️

Dharavi has an area of just over 2.39 square kilometres (0.92 sq mi; 590 acres)[3] and a population of about 1,000,000. With a population density of over 277,136/km2 (717,780/sq mi) Dharavi is one of the most densely populated areas in the world.
The Dharavi slum was founded in 1884 during the British colonial era, and grew because the expulsion of factories and residents from the peninsular city centre by the colonial government and from the migration of rural Indians into urban Mumbai. For this reason, Dharavi is currently a highly diverse settlement religiously and ethnically. Dharavi has an active informal economy in which numerous household enterprises employ many of the slum residents-leather, textiles and pottery products are among the goods made inside Dharavi. The total annual turnover has been estimated at over US$1 billion.

Exploitative Resource Extraction: Foreign corporations could gain control of India’s natural resources, such as minerals, oil, and gas. They could then extract these resources at the lowest possible cost, using poor environmental practices that devastate local ecosystems. The wealth would flow back to the colonizing power, while India bears the brunt of environmental degradation.

India, or Bharat, has historically been rich in natural resources, including gold, agriculture, and energy. In nearly every sector, the country possessed an abundance of wealth. Unfortunately, this prosperity attracted many foreign powers, from the Romans and Portuguese / Western countries, to the Mughals and the British, who sought to exploit its richness and looted this country with every opportunity.
Despite these challenges, the people of India have remained patient and continue to welcome others with open arms. We are a generous nation, with a strong desire to contribute to feeding the world.
We are continually striving to improve ourselves. Remarkably, India is emerging to become the third-largest economy in the world in a very short period. However, given our large population, it will take some time to ensure a better standard of living for everyone.

Thank you for this video! I love watching what’s going on in the world especially on my VR headset, makes me feel like I’m right there! I did is not for everyone. Here in Canada Indians have a bad reputation because many still keep their customs and mentality and refuse to conform to a new country with different rules. Why for instance is there always garbage and filth lying around and piling up? People are used to it and therefore nobody bothers to clean. Also the municipalities have to enforce laws to keep the streets clean. I love Indian culture, the clothes, the music, the dancing, so rich. I really hope that in the future this country will get out of the poverty . I realize there are also many super rich Indians and other places in India that are clean and beautiful, I’ve wandered around in them in my VR set! Anyways just wanted to say I love India and the Indian people !❤️
