    ***** Thanks for the comment! Not sure if you know, but your settings are set so that I cannot respond directly to the comment you left me. So, I hope you get this! Yes you definitely can make these ahead of time, just don't cook them first. Make them all the way to the point before cooking them, then you can put the lids on and freeze them for up to a month, or three days in the refrigerator. Then, just pop them in the oven, when you're ready to bake them! Best of luck, and congratulations on your wedding!! :D Oh and you might be interested in my red velvet cake pops for your wedding too. th-cam.com/video/bJJ5anQp9i8/w-d-xo.html

    I made them today in cupcake tins and I cut the recipe in half though because my family doesn't really like sweets and it turned out amazing and delicious! I also made homemade whipped cream to go with it. Thanks for the recipe!

    Hi, These look amazing. Can they be made in advance and frozen, for a quick snack at a later date? What is their shelf life at room temp and also in the refrigerator? Thanks!!

    In the black berry bowl you said it was alcohol? If you said that is their anything else you would recommend to make it taste just as good? Let me know thanks :)

      When I replace alcohol I sometimes use cranberry juice, apple juice or grape juice, fermented kombucha tea a tablespoon lime / lemon / orange or apple cider vinegar & honey + brown sugar

    Can you make these in cupcake pans?

    • @CassandreUrsu
      @CassandreUrsu  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Grace Zhang I've seen people do it on pinterest, but I've only tried it once, and I didn't really like how they came out.There was too much fruit to pie crust ratio and they don't look as pretty. You can buy these jars really cheaply at target for like $4 for 4.

    i sometimes get tough dough when i try to use butter for pie dough, what might i be doing wrong? too much water maybe?

    • @CassandreUrsu
      @CassandreUrsu  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ryan B Hi there Ryan. There are a couple reasons it could be too tough, but the most common reasons are, that the dough is being handled too much, or too much water. Butter has more water in it than shortening. 20% vs about 18% so if you're going to use butter, know that you'll probably add a Tbsp or two less. Hope this helps! Give my recipe a try, it's really moist, so I think it will work great for you. :)

      Lovebites your dough looked so smooth and mine often will still have some dry pieces that i need to knead into the dough as it comes together. so i turn it onto the counter and bring it together, maybe i am overworking it? Ive made a few pies since i left the comment, and its strange. It cuts easily, but sometimes the edges of the pie crust are a little tough to cut into with a fork, having to apply some pressure. Maybe its normal, but some pie crusts i see on youtube cut like butter. Your looked so easy to roll out, mine tends to need extra pressure from the rolling pin.
      You are right about the shortening thing though, it seems using butter gives different crust properties and changes the texture a little.

      HI there Ryan B Without seeing the recipe, I Couldn't quite tell ya, but it sounds to me like you might be adding a little too much flour. Depending on where you live, can make a difference based on moisture. GIve my pie crust a try. I'm like you, where I hate overly dry crust, so I make mine softer than most. Let me know if you have any more questions. Hope that helped

    Can these be shipped?

    • @CassandreUrsu
      @CassandreUrsu  ปีที่แล้ว

      baked goods that you buy at the store will have stabilizers to prevent them from going bad while it's good in some ways, it's not super healthy for our bodies. Home baked goods do not have those stabilizers. So if you want to ship them, you would have to get dry ice and do it overnight which I'm guessing would not be worth the trouble.

    Hello 😊 I'm just now getting started with Mason Jars and everywhere, I'm reading that the jars will shatter in the oven. Before reading this, I bought a bunch of stuff to get started. I wanted to make pies and meals such as lasagna. Now I'm scared. Have you had any shatter in the oven before? I bought Kerr and Bell. I have nobody to ask and I'm literally standing in my kitchen shaking in my boots lol Please help? 😬
