I came over here from Caro’s video with Florencia. I was having a lot of cacao during the summer, and then work happened, and crazy stress happened, so now that I’m on a break and doing all the New Year’s resolutions BS, I’m making self-care a priority. I hope that cacao will become a part of this! Thanks for your inspirations!
Before I knew about all the ceremonial uses of cacao. I noticed that when i ate dark chocolate i would feel more clarity and my mood would be way nicer. I knew cacao had mood boosting properties like Anandamide and theobromine and tryptophan ect. It was morning time and i ate some 70 percent ghidiradelli dark chocolate and went on a meditative bike ride listening to some classic reggae tunes and. Long story short, I was crying from joy and laughing for no reason. I would get memories from when i was a baby and i was healing from traumas and it was just such a rejuvenating experience for me.
Thank you Ksenia, for sharing this information. I've been collecting cacao/kakaw traditions spanning thousands of years. The tradition is a living thing, always growing and changing.

most definatly and how you hum it will effect how animals respond to you also. Think about it, I have had days where I went down to a little local city creek and hummed attracted squirrels. Then like 1week later I went down again. This time the time was alittle different keeping it drafty. I hummed and the squirrels were kinda put off. But the squirrels know my humming no matter what volume I use as long as Im kind. I respect my own doings, and let the energy go where it must.

This is going to sound super weird, but for the past week I've been practicing cacao ceremony in the mornings as part of my morning routine and every time I do it I get really emotional, not necessarily crying, but like release. I heard you speak on Bryanna Dee's podcast Shadowlight and checked out your youtube. Is this totally crazy? What has your experience been like with cacao?
Not weird at all! It's very heart opening and sounds like you're tapping into parts of yourself that you haven't listened to before. I get very emotional and tapped in too. Softer. More intuitive. Question is, do I really need ceremonial cacao. Is there something special about it that differentiates it chemically and in terms of effect compared to other cacao? Beyond just the infusion of energy and intention? I've used purchased and used ceremonial cacao several times, I'm just uncertain about the distinction between the two. I think I could create a similar effect with much less expensive cacao.
Ksenia - Breakfast Criminals The show is called “Younger” starring Hilirary Duff. There’s 5 seasons & it’s super good! One of her best friends, Lauren in the latest season, was trying to help their friend Josh gain some clarity about an important decision. So she set up their apartment living room beautifully, very comfy with tons of cushions, candles, singing bowl, etcetera & did the ritual on him. It looked SO amazing & it really worked on him. I’m a daily meditator for years now & had never heard of this so I immediately paused it to look up if it was a real thing & not something made up just for the show. So happy that it’s real.

I use a high-quality powdered cacao from S America (I know powdered is not the ideal for some). I put Himalayan salt, mushroom powder- usually chaga or Lion’s mane or turkey tail, coconut oil, stevia or xylitol and perhaps maca. Sometimes I add herbs to support my womanhood :) I lead a cacao ceremony this weekend- yay!! It helped me heal in releasing past hurts/ old energy & I feel so good whenever I have it. Lots of love for mushrooms, too. Thank you for the video! I ❤️❤️❤️
oh wow, i loved this video so much! so happy that so many people are drinking cacao and it i getting more more popular! for me cacao is the most powerful heart-opening medicine and i have been using it for months already and noticing so many benefits! i highly recommend everyone to incorporate it in their daily life!
Ksenia - Breakfast Criminals i found out about ceremonial grade cacao from social media, one woman i was following for a long time started doing these ceremonies and something was pulling me to try it as well! so i went to a cacao ceremony close from where i’m living and it was the most beautiful experience i have ever had! and afterwards i ordered my own cacao and now i can’t imagine my life without it! ❤️ i make my with a little bit of unsweetened organic rice or almond milk, add ~ 35 g of cacao, maca powder, reishi mushroom powder, cinnamon, sea salt. and then blend it all together! literally tastes like love! 🙏🏼🖤☕️
I really feel like I need to express that the purpose of cacao ceremony within a tribal context is completely different than what is presented within Bali and many New Age communities. You are missing some vital experiences because, this isn't just some ceremonial drink. This is plant medicine! It requires cultivating a relationship with the plant in it's natural environment. Last time I checked it was Native only to South America. I thoroughly believe without a ceremonial background and grounding in the Earth, these experiences are missing a VERY vital component. They lack the actual connection to the Earth and heart based ceremonies/ lessons traditionally given along with this. I love that it is heart based but, without proper context most Westerners have no clue about what happens before it landed in the grocery store or them buying it off the internet. That's where I have a problem with this.
well sometimes you have to learn gradually..my 1st time going to ceremony, i grabbed my little cup and drank it down..half way into the intro they say before you drink it lets give the blessing ceremony...oopsy i had to drink 2 cups, how awful of me to be soooo rude
She’s an example that being present in your own moment with a beautiful drink of cacao that you revere is a wonderful thing. A ceremony to bring peace and joy into a person’s life that can be done by everyone? People who don’t have time cuz they have complicated lives. It’s wonderful and as an ICU nurse that has PTSD and an autistic son who wants to meditate to be a dragon. This is something for me as I continue my work to bring peace to my soul and continue on my spiritual path of truthfulness, kindness and tolerance.
What is the purpose of cacao? Does it get you high or something? How does it heal, and how does it work for anxiety and depression. Isn’t this chocolate ?
