@@ramon7286 hi alejandro! thank you so much for your message in bringing awareness! Just wanted to clarify what I've learned about cacao and what the story behind this video was. I participated in a cacao ceremony back in 2018 for the first time and felt quite called to it, and after drinking cacao in ceremonies (held by florencia as the facilitator) and by myself for a year. I wanted to share about it on my youtube but as this isn't my native practice at all and I am no one to speak about cacao I went to the cacao practitioner I had been working with, Florencia Fridman and asked her if she'd join me in answering some questions and that's what this video is about 🤍 Florencia has been (and continues to be) an apprentice of Nana Marina Cruz for years. Nana is a Tz'utujil woman born and raised in the community. Nana holds cacao ceremonies and shares how cacao has been communed with in her tradition for years and it's one of the seeds the Tz'utujil see as a sacred seed and an essential seed to offer for the sacred fire. From your message I'm understanding this isn't right? Would love to understand more! Thank you.

Cacao doesn't belong to you, to the Mayans, or to any other particular group or culture, it is an offering to all of us by nature. As you said, since there is no traditional Mayan cacao ceremony, there isn't anything to appropriate here. I urge you to get out of your head and into your heart.

i love the notion or idea that the earth is resting and getting a break from us humans...but at the same time that understanding seems to suggest that once this is all over, we'll just go back to polluting the planet. The earth had its "break" and soon that break will be over. I HOPE humans will learn how to treat the planet better...I hope humans will learn to prioritize people over profit....to NOT continue the destructive habits we've been doing for decades...I hope this "break" won't just be a break, but a completely permanent, whole new lifestyle where humans choose to live more sustainably, where the healthcare system is just, where the food system emphasizes fair trade, organic, local, and sustainable.
You ladies are both such luvley creatures and I'm drawn deeply in by your authentic and genuine nature's ..I am drawn in by this sacrid practise of Cacao ...I will manifest it into my life...and am excited to see to feel to fully experience it's influence on all levels and from 7 directions...thank you both🌹💗🌹

As it happens, cacao did very little for me in terms of reaching any high, but as for any plant that one takes and uses, it is greatly respected and if someone wants to build a ceremony around it, then maybe you can just be happy for them. If it isn't a Mayan way then how can it be an issue of appropriation? You have returned to this video, I see, after months. Perhaps you secretly enjoy the video?? Go play God elsewhere. Thank you.

I've never participated in a cacao ceremony, but suddenly this week it popped into my head to learn more about cacao in general, but if I engage with it, I want to do it properly and in a way that honors and respects it's origins and peoples, and their tradition of it, and comes from a source that directly aides its native areas and groups. I've seen a fair amount of videos that don't mention any of that, and it bothers me a lot. I appreciate your insight and the education you've both provided us here, as well as the beautiful music and discussion!

I relate to that so much and I always feel incredibly self conscious speaking aloud to the Universe and Spirit, but I have found journaling does help quite a bit! What are those type of mushrooms please? I have Reishi and Chaga, could I use those?
@@Froglet1968 psilocybin mushrooms are magic mushrooms. They are psychoactive and were used to induce altered states of conscience in healing rituals and ceremonies. I’m not sure if you can use those reishi or changa, all I know is that they specifically used “liberty cap” psilocybin mushrooms.
