In the meantime live your life and put yourself first. Fall off the map and reinvent yourself; not for them but for you. Make yourself a priority and rebuild yourself. If you invest your savings and your account is going negative because of that investment , I can almost guarantee your pulling out of that investment. If you treat your money that way, you should treat your heart the same.

Yeah, that definitely should be the way to go. But, A girl broke up with me after 2 years, and for about 2-3 months I tried to reestablish things. Then, that’s it, I’m done. At the time I didn’t have a job, and usually 2-3 times a week for a few months ( early cellphone days, also can’t trace calls) I’d answer the phone, 3 or 4 seconds and probably her, would hang up. Go figure.

The truth is that this is an emotionally immature tactic. For any reason. If you have a problem in a relationship, you bring it up and address it. If it can't be resolved, and it's a "relationship breaker", then you go your seperate ways in agreement. You don't just ghost and go no contact on someone in a long term relationship with someone that Loves you. That's some cowardly narcissistic behavior that NOBODY deserves.

Giving time/space and no contact are very similar it’s just when you give then time... you maybe check in on them once every week or two weeks. If you just keep texting them they’re gonna feel pressured and choked by your presence. Hence the quote “absence makes the heart grow fonder”. Of course if you want them back and you ghost them to make them feel desperate, that is a very immature move! BUT! Of course "no contacts" always works, simply because for me personally, i always assumed that all people who went no contacts or ghosted me don't need me or "we are done" and i don't care even if they died. And i always no contacts with all of my exes, because ex is just an ex. I don't need any of them to be around me anymore. It is what it is and we always moving forward.

My husband broke up with me a month after we started dating. I didn’t really delve into it and didn’t force the point of sticking thru it. I was like alright I’ll give you space and after about 3 weeks of not giving a fuck and not reaching out he came back. Guess he had buyers remorse with whoever or whatever he wanted to give his undivided attention. The truth is that this is an emotionally immature tactic. For any reason. If you have a problem in a relationship, you bring it up and address it. If it can't be resolved, and it's a "relationship breaker", then you go your seperate ways in agreement. You don't just ghost and go no contact on someone in a long term relationship with someone that Loves you. That's some cowardly narcissistic behavior that NOBODY deserves.
Yeah! but you need to give them and yourself time to think and heal. That can also be seen as no contact too. Giving time/space and no contact are very similar it’s just when you give then time... you maybe check in on them once every week or two weeks. If you just keep texting them they’re gonna feel pressured and choked by your presence. Hence the quote “absence makes the heart grow fonder”. Of course if you want them back and you ghost them to make them feel desperate, that is a very immature move! BUT! It really depends on the circumstances because to be honest... some people don’t deserve a response or any answers if they weren’t understanding or rude in anyway.
