- Today's video is all about that horrible moment in a relationship when your girlfriend wants some space from the relationship, need a break and some time to think and suggests going through a period of no contact. This period of distance in the relationship, which can often involve the dreaded no contact rule isn't always a bad thing. It can end up bringing the two of your closer together, provided you actually listen to what it is she's asking of you and pay attention to the subjects discussed in today's video. We're going to be taking a look at the psychology of a break & distance in a relationship, what is it she wants from this time and hopes to gain, and what you need to do yourself to make this really work. You've clicked on this video today because you can sense something very uncomfortable. You know deep down that something is wrong in the relationship between you and your lady. And you probably have 1 of 2 mindsets right now.
The first one is, I'm going to do all I can to make this relationship work. Literally physically do everything you can. Emotionally give her everything, constant calls, constant texts messages, sending her flowers, sending her gifts, turning up at her work place.
Or, the second mindset is, I am literally at the end of my tether and I'm willing to just end things if I don't get just a smidgen bit of romanticism from my girlfriend.
And you probably feel pretty helpless, which is why you've come to me today because you can't fix this on your own and you just don't know what you need to do. But, what if I told you that by giving her distance, which I know you don't want to do, you can actually re-build that attraction and it will bring you guys back together much stronger than you were before this distance situation happened....

Here's the thing though from my experience and from doing a lot of research they're going to play games. A lot of the games when play is not really games but actually testing and women as well as men should test all girls not going to come out and say are you needy but she may test you in different ways to see if you need any human beings in general have a way of testing other humans to see what they're made of and you definitely have to expect that old female would do this if she's going to be the mother of your children and open herself emotionally to you so it's not in games it's not always games sometimes it is games but a lot of the times it's just what they should do in fact if a girl is not testing you that should be a red flag cuz it's likely she has no standards
If they want/need space, give them all they need & move on. Life is too damn short.
I had a girl go cold and distant on me all of a sudden and we didn't see each other for three weeks. After this time had passed, I was told that she wasn't ready for a relationship. She made me decide whether to remain friends or not. So I chose to move on and already did so during the time of our distance. Putting this down to experience, if this happens again, I'll completely ignore her even when she comes back. I've outgrown the stupid mind games that woman play. I'm sorry..

I am crazy behind this girl & about 2 weeks back.. i went total MIA from contacting her .. 3 days... 3 days is ALL it took for her to come running back... i welcomed her with open arms.. & lo behold... we are closer now than we were before... still not going around formally.. but its almost there
I got spartan kicked to the friendzone just recently without even having the chance to say how I felt about her. It truly hurts because it was over one big misunderstanding that made me the collateral damage. Not sure if she'll have any feelings for me, but I hope giving her the space she needs mends the solid friendship we have.
I have an idea: How about the girl seek some therapy and work on herself and her issues before she gets into a relationship? Women think that getting into relationships will make them feel better, but that can backfire because she will bring her issues into the relationship. I have had that done to me for a long, long time (years, to be honest) because the women kept having feelings for their ex-boyfriends. As things go now, I am fine living my life without a relationship and things are going quite well in my life.

For the fellas reading this I will say. Me and my ex broke up around 5-6 months ago (I messed up) and we stayed friends for awhile but I could tell she couldn't stand being around me or talking to me. Eventually I decided just to walk away and cut contact. I will also mention I really did try to fix things in the beginning. Anyway after a month of no contact I reply to her story, and we get chatting a little back and forth. Already I see a change in her mood just by the texts. We even were ready to hang out again. A couple of days later I'm over at her house, we watch a couple of films, we cuddle and she's super comfortable around me and we make out by the end of the night. Texted her when I got home and she's already trying to make plans with me. We're currently not together as its early days, but as far as experience goes. If she's into you and she genuinely wants you then just give her space. It will get results.

It actually depends on the person. If she's toxic (like my gf) it can help to stay apart for a while or it can even mess things up more. You can never know with a toxic person. Well, if she is "overwhelmed" by her emotions, need a "thinking process", need to "discover the feelings of attraction for you", then she has issues, does not know herself (the majority of people don't), she simply does not have feelings for you because she is not interested anymore of have another person. If she needs time to "think", let her go and move on. A person who does not know oneself, does not know what it wants in life, its purpose, goals, etc., it may cause suffering to the "loved one". So, no, I pass.
One more thing. Emotions are volatile, changeable, unpredictable, unreliable, and can create an internal chaos. Did you know that we feel base on how we think? I even question the veracity of "women are emotional" and "men are problem solving/thinkers" like if we humans were designed like machines incapable of not being like the counterpart. Like a teacher told to class back then at the university: That is why the head is above the heart and the heart above the genitals. If the mind is not healthy and well constructed, the rest is a chaotic whirlwind.
I believe there are more stages of cognitive development than are usually considered even by very well-educated individuals. Putting the cerebral cortex in charge requires being very well attuned to one’s feelings and emotions, and being able to process them effectively and efficiently. Unfortunately, many people have not learned this, and they have trouble conceiving of what it’s like or how empowering it is. We definitely feel based on how we think, but many people are not aware of the automatic thoughts that result from new input (sensory or informational). Regardless, you can’t force anyone to understand any of this, so we need to learn how to coexist with people of all levels of cognitive development. Respectfully submitted.

I had 6 years of bliss with my girl. There were no clues to her wanting to break up until 5 months ago when she manufactured an argument and left to a pre-arranged hotel in town. I was blown away. Whe she came for her things I left her a nice note and when she'd forgotten her coat another nice note. Yes, a mistake I now know. After 4 months she txt'd me a thankyou for sending money to her from share dividends that were in my account but she owned. That's when I thought this is her reach out. She Friend Zoned me a couple years ago.
The last time we were intimate was in 2019. She gave herself distance by moving out of state.
She told me several times that she didn’t see us together. Problem is when I saw her over the holidays she let me hug her, touch her, cuddle with her. She did reject direct kisses on the lips. She went back to Colorado after the holidays but she keeps texting me.2-3 times per week. Not with anything really important like she just wants to know I’m still there. This makes me crazy. It seems she is really conflicted and can’t make up her mind. I asked her to marry me but she said “No.” She just wants to be friends, but that’s not what her actions say. bad advice. First contact them and let them know what you are feeling using "I feel..." and "it seems..." and end it with "I am here for you. You are important to me and I do care." Worst thing I ever did was "give space" to someone I cared for. It ended up she was manipulated by a third party (and I was manipulated by a misguided third party) and thought she was protecting me. Know the difference between giving someone freedom and "space."

Done some probability thinking while watching this. Say your girl went cold, not answering, not looking at you etc. chances you two getting back on track together is 25%.
