- So, the other day, I was looking through Mario Kart World Records .com, and I was surprised by the number of different inside drifting bikes that have held world records in Mario Kart Wii. This got me to thinking, has every inside drifting bike held a world record at some point?

Quacker's acceleration is not used on mg glitch, and the shape of its hitbox is also why it is better at moving on the mountain than something like bit bike
Quacker now owns the glitch time for grumble volcano now as well, as it somehow beats the bit bike
accel and it still has really nice handling so its faster
And cuz they can do all of those spindrifts to make it go around the rock faster
As of right now the bit bike beat the quacker

after rainbow road ultra was found with quacker, i realize now that jet bubble could *theoretically* get that wr from the quacker. while difficult, it seems that either it or the bullet bike could steal the quacker's spotlight

I doubt the Sneakster nor Dolphin Dasher will each be getting another world record anytime soon, and I doubt the Jet Bubble will ever get a world record. All three bikes are outclassed by all the other six inside drifting bikes in some way, shape, or form when it comes to getting World Records.
I'm surprised there hasn't been a Mario Kart Wii world record with a kart or an outside drift bike. Maybe it's because inside drift bikes have the ability to hug corners, and outside drift bikes are clunky to control due to their wide drifting arc. And besides, I don't think there is a single track that is made for outside drift bikes unless it's CTGP.
Rainbow road no glitch has used a kart since 2011 and outside drift bikes are really only bad because they happened to get bad stats. Shooting star is the only viable outside drift bike and it is only slightly faster than dolphin dasher/jet bubble, although there is a possibility for zip zip to be used on dkjp glitch because it can take the offroad cut shroomless and it has the next best offroad to magikruiser.
There have been WRs with karts in the early days, but put simply, snaking isn't as fast as rearing up. Inside drift bikes aren't viable because the inside drift allows bikes to take tighter angles, which allow for faster corners.
@@campbellblock3061 The Shooting Star also has the same speed as the Standard Kart L, as well as the same weight as the Sprinter.

Only king bikes can do it. Thats the sneakster and the spear. No other bikes can.

Update: There is a new Waluigi glitch, and the bullet bike has the current world record on it.

Also, one major disadvantage of the Bullet Bike compared to Mach is that its lighter weight gives it more airtime, and thus more speed loss. If there’s any course where Bullet could get the WR, probably MC3, since it’s completely flat, with no ramps at all, unlike the other SNES and GBA tracks, and it has the really sharp turn in the middle.
My favorite inside drifting bike is the Flame Flyer
The Flame Flyer is a kart with similar stats to the Flame Runner.

im guessing nintendo failed to do much real testing if they didn't think inside drift would be that overpowered
i don't believe they ever did test this game properly at all, the wheelie is op and they really thought taking away the super miniturbo from bikes was a good way to balance it.

Congrats on the bullet bike getting a world record for glitch waluigi stadium. Also the jet bubble has a world record for a custom track where u have to do some sort of glitch but I don't know what its called
I feel sorry for the nitrocycle/sneakster because it feels like good training wheels for anyone trying to learn the torpedo/spear. I do however NOT feel sorry for the bubble bike/jet bubble as it is so average. Also I like using medium weight vehicles the most with my mii.
Yeah, the Jet Bubble has average stats across the board, with its Speed being decent and its Weight being low.

i really hate it when online video games have that one extremley overpowered item that EVERYONE uses, you know what im talking about, stuff the aerospray RG from splatoon and the flame runner from mario kart wii among others are just so annoying, it makes me wonder why nintendo dosent nerf these things when they see 80% of all players use them
There will always be a meta in competitive games, simple as that. People will use the best combinations, no matter how much you try to ‘balance’ the game. Even if it’s a tiny advantage, players will use whatever helps the most.

The Spear is the fastest bike in the game and the heaviest inside drift bike in the game, but we must ask ourselves: what does it cost?

VERY wrong. Matters a lot in Mario Kart Wii. More weight means less air which is very important. And when you’re playing with others weight matters even more because you’re inevitably gonna bump into people.

A kart that has poor stats overall and outside drift. What a GREAT example. It’s common knowledge the top 3 stats are speed, drift, and weight in that order. Educate yourself.

Great video, although you didn’t mention the differences of the weight stats between vehicles, as having a higher weight decreases bump distance and ramp height.

Sometimes I wish this community was more approachable to outsiders.
Weight isn't directly linked to trick height since it is actually tied to the individual hitbox of each vehicle and it tends to be mostly uniform across each weight class.

Good first video but you failed to mention the quacker's records on rainbow road, grumble and perhaps waluigi stadium. Also the bullet bike has had records on waluigi stadium and the magicruiser has had records on shyguy beach

The thing with the Sneakster (Nitrcocycle) is that it at least has more speed than the Flame Runner (Bowser Bike) and at least has more drift and mini-turbo than the Spear (Torpedo). Now, the thing with the Jet Bubble is that it has nothing. It has mediocre stats across the board, with only its speed being good. But the Bullet Bike has the highest values in 2 stats, untied for the most, being drift and mini-turbo, and it has solid speed, too, more than the former. This is why, in theory, it can never succeed, unless its awkward shape is utilised.
Now it has. :D the jet bubble finally achieved something worthy!

wii is not my main mario kart, 8 deluxe is. And I prefer karts. but for wii to be competetive inside drift bikes are necessary. I have never heard of inside or outside drift until today, now I know the meta kind of for kart wii.

Stats look like trash to me, I just stuck to whatever I find goes fast. I hate that bike, in the PAL version it's called the nitrocycle.
The dolphin dasher and magikruiser actually do have better drift but he used incorrect stat charts when making it

Ik i am late but i hate inside/inward drift... it isn't actually a drift... this is because a drift is when your back end starts sliding... but you have to so something before the apex e.i clutch kick or scandi flick/inertia drift or breaking drift.
What does the Jet Bubble excel at?
Nothing; it has pretty mediocre stats across the board coming in 6th for speed, 7th for drift, 6th for mt, 3rd for offroad, 2nd in handling, and roughly 3rd for acceleration compared to the 8 other inside drift bikes, so there is always a better vehicle for any particular stat.
