Unpopular opinion: the Phantom is actually a decent bike. Sure, it's an outside drifter with a low drift stat, but all you have to do is start drifting earlier than you would an inside drift bike and you can easily work around this. The bike also features a solid balance of speed and acceleration, making it unnecessary to do a stop boost after you've been hit with an item. I won many races using the bike even on tracks with tight turns, people just don't know how to properly use the bike.
I’m part of the kart minority. I usually play Luigi on Standard Kart, and it make you feel more accomplished when you beat flame runners and mach bikes.

My favorite combo to use when I played casually back in the day was Waluigi on the Wario Bike. It's so funny seeing that magnificent lanky bastard riding a motorcycle that was custom-built for Wario, whose legs are like 1/6 as long as Waluigi's.
Such an old game, yet still very fun to play. Wild Wing was my very first vehicle of choice back when I started playing the game. I just unlocked the Sprinter and Mii Outfit B yesterday, after many years of playing it. I thought it could be as good as the Wild Wing, but I just couldn't drift it as well in 150cc, which I totally understand it belongs to the same class as Blue Falcon and Jetsetter, and it still averages out pretty decently, depending on how fast I wanted to go in that thing. i'm a Sugarscoot fan because it's a good "beginner" bike, with excellent stats aside from speed and weight (since drift can be worked around), making it a fun outside drifting bike to learn the game/bike style, or simply to mess around! I also do like its design as well, seems like something I'd (try to) drive in real life! ... Basically I'm a kart main (Wild Wing is just the best kart in the series to me) so a bike like the Sugarscoot is a godsend

Honestly I think you should mention the Flame Flyer Acceleration stat. When you play it sometimes you litteraly want to charge a mini turbo after a shock or just hitting a wall because its accel is soooo trash ! Good list and arguments btw I've enjoyed the video ^^
Thank you fella. The acceleration stat for me isn’t that important since if you charge a mini turbo after you won’t lose too much time. If you couldn’t charge a mini turbo then yeah the acceleration stat would be a big problem with some vehicles
@@Zakziko In my opinion, its acceleration is so poor that it feels like stand still mini turbos are necessary even after slipping on a banana or after a shock. Probably just my irritation with how slow it is to speed up after losing half its speed but still. Enjoyed the vid tho!
In Mario Kart Wii, the off-road stat determines how much speed the vehicle will retain when traveling in off-road terrain. A low off-road stat can slow the vehicle significantly.
You will never catch me rocking anything other than Wario on the Wario Bike because I will forever be Mario kart Wii’s biggest troll. I’m not always out there to win, I’m out there to have fun. And using the greedy bastard on his very own bike makes me feel like Wario himself.

I almost always choose the vehicle based on appearance, and that's why I modded my Mario kart Wii I have Rosalina on the Wario Car from Double Dash, Rambi Rally from Mario Kart DS, and Ralph's Wrecking Truck from Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed
I would put zip zip at least mid tier since it has two tas bkts currently (although for joke reasons lol) Additionally, quacker actually has rr glitch because of the wheel placement on the hitbox; weight alone has no effect in time trials.
Jetsetter/Sprinter/Blue Falcon are automatic karts, don't use them on manual. They are pretty good when using automatic, though it's a whole new style of gameplay you have to learn. Once you learn how to handle them, they are between the best manual karts and the worst inside drift bikes as far as viability goes.
@@friskycalibri2293 It's close, but a part of what I was saying was that those were good Auto karts, and there are better karts than Blue Falcon if you want to use Manual.
A few MKWii vehicle facts not mentioned in the video (a lot are pulled from mariowiki, but 🤫): Zip Zip/Rapide: has the highest off-road (62) of any medium size vehicle (it was mentioned that it was the 3rd best, the first two are both small vehicles. Sugarscoot/Bon Bon: has the same speed (32) as the goddamn Quacker: a vehicle known for having very poor speed Wario Bike: Design directly from the WarioWare series; highest handling (56) of any large vehicle. Handling *is* useful for outside drifting vehicles, as they can't rely on their drift for quick maneuvering Phantom: Has the single lowest drift stat in the game, which is surprising, because you would expect a kart to hold that title. Also has the same off road (56) as the Dolphin Dasher: a vehicle known for having good off-road Bit Bike: The vehicle with the lowest speed (25) in the game. Booster Seat/Baby Booster: The _kart_ with the lowest speed (27) in the game. The kart counterpart to the Bit Bike, except the Bit Bike can wheelie, so this may as well be the game's slowest vehicle. Super Blooper/Turbo Blooper: Correction: it has the third lowest drift (21), not the second. Bottom two are the Offroader (18) and the aforementioned Phantom (17). Blue Falcon: Design directly from the F-Zero vehicle of the same name. As F-Zero is known for speed, MKWii's Blue Falcon is also the fastest small kart, having the same speed stat as the Flame Runner (60) Tiny Titan/Rally Romper: it should come as no surprise that it is the kart with the highest off-road. I mean look at those tires, did you really think any kind of terrain would slow it down? lmao Mini Beast/Concerto: The kart with the highest mini-turbo (64) in the game. Anyone who has used it can tell you that its super mini turbo lasts for eons. Its mini-turbo is part of what gives it the kart BKTs it has. Flame Runner/Bowser Bike: The Japanese name of this vehicle is the スーパーバウザー _Super Bowser_ which is one of the few instances of Bowser's international name being used in a game's Japanese video. @@Zakziko Yeah I main karts becauss they are very fun to use. Bikes are fun to use as well but when I win the Mini Beast, I feel overjoyed because its a lot harder to win with it. Not to mention, orange mini-turbos are so satisfying to pull off. I don't know why but I've always loved pulling off mini-turbos and just drifting a lot.
The standard bikes are definitely up there. I'd say the shooting star is the best outside-drift bike tho simply due to its favourable stat-spread whereas the standard bikes are... well, standard.
@@s1kicks No doubt. Bullet Bike level at least, possibly even on par with the Mach. Can compete on turns with drift and MT and it doesn't lose as much time off of ramps due to being a Heavyweight vehicle. Lower speed than both is really the only issue.
jetsetter main here, its best when paired with a character with a mini turbo bonus, like the mii, rosalina, and especially dry bowser and wario it makes the goldens feel significantly stronger, and yeah, its a hard vehicle to master, but once you get the hang of using it, you'll be surprised at just how well it competes online (provided no items screw you over) i'd suggest practicing with 100cc before going back to 150cc also, some turns like the super sharp turn on snes mario circuit 3, you'll need to go outward, start a drift, and immediately cancel and hop into a 2nd drift to make it without slowing down you could also use it on auto for much more mobility, but with auto you'll probably want funky kong (i suck at auto lol)
Jetsetter sucks but not bottom 5, but you’re pretty much forced to use characters with a mt bonus since u already have so much speed. Double drifting helps but its drift is still bad and the jetsetter can’t grip the ground to save its life. Gets hit by back items easliy. Jetsetter is not the worst vehicle all in all.
@@CrisWas_Taken i believe the jetsetter has the 10th best overall times in time trials, it can definitely compete online with enough practice unfortunately people like troy toting it as the worst vehicle ever has given it a bad reputation

Aye, great video you made here lad! I don't play competitively but I've played this game for a LOOOOONG time, and even played online a bit when it was still up! I was not keen on what vehicle was best and just used what I wanted to that day lol. Nowadays I know much more and I definitely main Funky with either the Flame Runner or Flame Flyer, not just because he's basically the best character stats wise, but also personality wise lol.

I think the main reason why the Flame Runner is the best vehicle is because it's the only inside drifting bike that has great speed, weight, drift and mini turbo which are the most important stats.
I definitely liked using the Sprinter for the aesthetic but the Wild Wing was my go-to in almost every race. Also I sucked with the bikes so normally I never picked them.
I Use Baby Luigi and the Majikruser because Baby Luigi is not annoying and looks good and The majikruser has great offroad. (I actually have problems being offroad)

I use my Mii in the Flame Flyer. It has the exact same stats as the Flame Runner and the flames and engine look badass! 😆🔥

@@Zakziko In my opinion, its acceleration is so poor that it feels like stand still mini turbos are necessary even after slipping on a banana or after a shock. Probably just my irritation with how slow it is to speed up after losing half its speed but still. Enjoyed the vid tho!

As a kid, I always thought less off road meant you had more traction in the off road.
In Mario Kart Wii, the off-road stat determines how much speed the vehicle will retain when traveling in off-road terrain. A low off-road stat can slow the vehicle significantly.
You will never catch me rocking anything other than Wario on the Wario Bike because I will forever be Mario kart Wii’s biggest troll. I’m not always out there to win, I’m out there to have fun. And using the greedy bastard on his very own bike makes me feel like Wario himself.
When I was younger long ago I never knew the Flame Flyer was the best kart in the game but remember using Funky on the kart all the time

Since I’m a Kart guy in Mario Kart, I’ve used the Wild Wing as my vehicle of choice. Sometimes I’ve beaten my brother in a bike with the Wild Wing!
I almost always choose the vehicle based on appearance, and that's why I modded my Mario kart Wii
I have Rosalina on the Wario Car from Double Dash, Rambi Rally from Mario Kart DS, and Ralph's Wrecking Truck from Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed
Funky and Daisy Bike Wii, my favourite racing game
I would put zip zip at least mid tier since it has two tas bkts currently (although for joke reasons lol)
Additionally, quacker actually has rr glitch because of the wheel placement on the hitbox; weight alone has no effect in time trials.
Jetsetter/Sprinter/Blue Falcon are automatic karts, don't use them on manual. They are pretty good when using automatic, though it's a whole new style of gameplay you have to learn. Once you learn how to handle them, they are between the best manual karts and the worst inside drift bikes as far as viability goes.
Only the Aero Glider and B-Dasher Mk.2 are better in auto. The Blue Falcon actually has a usable miniturbo stat.

A few MKWii vehicle facts not mentioned in the video (a lot are pulled from mariowiki, but 🤫):
Zip Zip/Rapide: has the highest off-road (62) of any medium size vehicle (it was mentioned that it was the 3rd best, the first two are both small vehicles.
Sugarscoot/Bon Bon: has the same speed (32) as the goddamn Quacker: a vehicle known for having very poor speed
Wario Bike: Design directly from the WarioWare series; highest handling (56) of any large vehicle. Handling *is* useful for outside drifting vehicles, as they can't rely on their drift for quick maneuvering
Phantom: Has the single lowest drift stat in the game, which is surprising, because you would expect a kart to hold that title. Also has the same off road (56) as the Dolphin Dasher: a vehicle known for having good off-road
Bit Bike: The vehicle with the lowest speed (25) in the game.
Booster Seat/Baby Booster: The _kart_ with the lowest speed (27) in the game. The kart counterpart to the Bit Bike, except the Bit Bike can wheelie, so this may as well be the game's slowest vehicle.
Super Blooper/Turbo Blooper: Correction: it has the third lowest drift (21), not the second. Bottom two are the Offroader (18) and the aforementioned Phantom (17).
Blue Falcon: Design directly from the F-Zero vehicle of the same name. As F-Zero is known for speed, MKWii's Blue Falcon is also the fastest small kart, having the same speed stat as the Flame Runner (60)
Tiny Titan/Rally Romper: it should come as no surprise that it is the kart with the highest off-road. I mean look at those tires, did you really think any kind of terrain would slow it down? lmao
Mini Beast/Concerto: The kart with the highest mini-turbo (64) in the game. Anyone who has used it can tell you that its super mini turbo lasts for eons. Its mini-turbo is part of what gives it the kart BKTs it has.
Flame Runner/Bowser Bike: The Japanese name of this vehicle is the スーパーバウザー _Super Bowser_ which is one of the few instances of Bowser's international name being used in a game's Japanese video.

@@Zakziko Yeah I main karts becauss they are very fun to use. Bikes are fun to use as well but when I win the Mini Beast, I feel overjoyed because its a lot harder to win with it. Not to mention, orange mini-turbos are so satisfying to pull off. I don't know why but I've always loved pulling off mini-turbos and just drifting a lot.

The standard bikes are definitely up there. I'd say the shooting star is the best outside-drift bike tho simply due to its favourable stat-spread whereas the standard bikes are... well, standard.

@@s1kicks No doubt. Bullet Bike level at least, possibly even on par with the Mach. Can compete on turns with drift and MT and it doesn't lose as much time off of ramps due to being a Heavyweight vehicle. Lower speed than both is really the only issue.

jetsetter main here, its best when paired with a character with a mini turbo bonus, like the mii, rosalina, and especially dry bowser and wario
it makes the goldens feel significantly stronger, and yeah, its a hard vehicle to master, but once you get the hang of using it, you'll be surprised at just how well it competes online (provided no items screw you over)
i'd suggest practicing with 100cc before going back to 150cc
also, some turns like the super sharp turn on snes mario circuit 3, you'll need to go outward, start a drift, and immediately cancel and hop into a 2nd drift to make it without slowing down
you could also use it on auto for much more mobility, but with auto you'll probably want funky kong (i suck at auto lol)

Jetsetter sucks but not bottom 5, but you’re pretty much forced to use characters with a mt bonus since u already have so much speed. Double drifting helps but its drift is still bad and the jetsetter can’t grip the ground to save its life. Gets hit by back items easliy. Jetsetter is not the worst vehicle all in all.

Aye, great video you made here lad! I don't play competitively but I've played this game for a LOOOOONG time, and even played online a bit when it was still up! I was not keen on what vehicle was best and just used what I wanted to that day lol. Nowadays I know much more and I definitely main Funky with either the Flame Runner or Flame Flyer, not just because he's basically the best character stats wise, but also personality wise lol.

The reason the Nostalgia 1 is named that is because the kart is based on retro F1 cars from when the sport started.
I definitely liked using the Sprinter for the aesthetic but the Wild Wing was my go-to in almost every race. Also I sucked with the bikes so normally I never picked them.
