- RFK II has a presidential name, but I don't think he'll be finding himself in that position this go around. However, he does have the opportunity to cause some problems for Trump in the process.

The hate from his family makes people like him MORE!

Any left wingers who might consider him will jump out based on when they hear his family don’t support him. Any right wingers will love him when they hear that hoods family doesn’t super him. Hence, he will hurt Trump more than Biden.

@@jonlittle5032 I would rather be seen as crazy instead of rolling over and voting for Biden or Trump. We should not be facing an election with these two. Further, half of RFKs family works directly for the Biden admin. I don’t see them as legitimate in this criticism

Exactly. The polls were dispositive in 2020, especially in the battleground states. Biden won 2020 by 50-100K votes in 6 states. The polls this year reflect largely a flip to Trump in the 6 states that matter and until and unless I see otherwise (in Nov) I will expect Trump to win........and I expect to vote for RFK. Peter's opinion requires too much conjecture and not enough evidence.
I admire your conviction but it continues to be extremely early for calling the election.

I think Peter is grossly miscalculating how badly people dislike the Biden administration, including by those who have previously voted for him. It's those voters that will decide the fate of the election. Amongst the liberals I've spoken to, they're either not voting this election cycle or voting for another candidate.
I agree. Also, he's not touching on the great sorting that's going on. Florida went from Purple to Blood Red in the past decade or so.
Also, independent voters really just vote based on how good things are when they vote. There's far less nuance than people believe in them. Things sucked in 2020 and Trump lost. Things suck now. That's not any better for biden now than it was for Trump then.
With the progressives, you're right. They'll stick their nose up at him. Mainstream liberals? Gaza is not as important as Ukraine or Jan 6 to them.
Indepndents? It's the Senile old pervert in the Blue tie vs the Senile old pervert in the red tie, and the one in the Red tie just argued that he should get to murder the political opposition with impunity... That puts not only the opposition but the apathetic on high alert, because if insufficient praise of the would-be dear leader might get you murdered, you have a strong feeling about that would-be part.
MAGA will do what MAGA will do, but 20% of the GOP has just issued a bunch of protest votes for Nicky Haley who dropped out a month ago.
The only question I have for you is whether you believe the 20% of Democrats who dislike Biden outnumber the 20% of Republicans who dislike Trump... In the swing states... Who cares is some AOC stans in Manhattan protest Biden, if more libs and independents in Pennsylvania and Arizona think Trump is that much worse?
@@justinpaul3110 The Republicans I speak with are satisfied with the Economy
People may not like Biden, and a normal republican candidate would most likely beat him. Shit he probably would have dropped out if Haley won. But Trump is the most beatable republican candidate since Barry Goldwater
@@justinpaul3110 Speaking as an indie voter who knows a lot of indie voters, that does not jive with how we actually vote.
We aren't indie voters because they're swayed by the prevailing winds. We're indie because we're presented with only two options, and neither represents our views well enough to compell us to wear their colors. Our beliefs are as strong as anyone elses, we just don't draw an arbitrary line down the list of issues as to which "my team" is allowed to believe.
Now, I don't know anyone who is *excited* about another Biden term, liberal, indie, or otherwise. But, that was kind of the point the first time around, right? He gave those of us exactly what we wanted: Some sane, rational, adult stability in the executive office after. Sure, his age and his mental faculties *are* a concern, have no doubt... but if the alternative is Trump? Every single liberal and almost every middle-of-the-road indie I know (including myself) would vote for a straight up catatonic Biden over Trump's harebrained, amoral lunacy every single day.
But that's just my experience with the folks *I* know and come into regular contact with. We all seem to live in our own little social/infotainment bubbles these days, and we think our daily experiences reflect what's "really" going on, forgetting there's a wider world outside that bubble that may defy the beliefs we've cultivated. So, I take what I say with a grain of salt, and so should you. :P
Regardless, I just can't believe we're doing this to ourselves again. Biden vs. Trump? AGAIN? Why, America? WHY?

You do that. Can’t wait. Just like the red wave in the midterms.
Trump will lose inshallah .
The Kennedy name no longer has the sway that it once had. Having a third choice is a better thing than having two poor choices. This guy has not listened at all to RFKjr. He is espousing the same crap that the main stream media is saying about conspiracies and RFKjr. If he had listened to the man, he’d learn that RFK is proscienxe and want things to be tested and evaluated. This is a challenge to the pharmaceutical companies who currently are not required to test many of the drugs they produce. It is called corporate capture of the government. I wonder who this guy works for?
I don't know if that is a thorough and thought out assessment of him. Also, he has several family members who work for Biden-it wouldn't look good to your boss if you're rootin' against him.
His campaigning is extraordinarily positive, which is such a breath of fresh air. The campaign promises aren't conspiratorial either. With regard to the conspiracy theories, the few I've looked into about him were not as dramatic as reported and most of it huckster reporting. I'd suggest this- take all three candidates and do the utilitarian method: Biden-1. age , 2. involved with corruption in family, 3. horrific exit from mideast 4. folks skeptical of his current mideast plans, 5. can't get prices down for regular Americans . Trump-1.age, 2.look at whatever you want from him but he incited a group to try and disrupt the transfer of power in our democracy-this never happened to our country ever-we all watched this live, without any spin; there's no editing live TV. RFK- 1. positive plan for rebuilding the middle class, 2. passionate environmental conservationist, 3. tighter leash on large corps and govt., 4.views on big pharma are very controversial, 5. Highly intellectual and sophisticated manner discussing controversial medical topics (sometimes disproven) which are used by lesser intelligent folks to spread different and malignant information about medical topics.
Those are my takeaways, which sounds better? Run your own assessment of course and be very honest with yourself in private. Weigh out the pluses and minuses and see who comes out on top.
Always interested in the wide range association of conspiracy to RFK Jr. from secondary sources considering what little background on what was stated from RFK himself is presented in those statements often times.
Yeah it makes more sense when you understand zeihan is a shill for intel agencies, thats why I like listening to him. Nothing he says ever happens, but you can see what the agencies are planning through his narrative building lolol
Explain to me RFKs stance on vaccines, so I can throw his words back in your face and laugh at you. Go ahead, I’m waiting
Have you seen any RFK interviews...?
@@jackwillbrand2408 The vaccines the government sped into production, only to later openly admit that they were causing myocarditis? Or was it the one for the illness that the government lied about regarding its origin, only to later conclude that it come from exactly where all the "conspiracy theorists" claimed it did? Or perhaps it had to do with the secret, foreign-owned COVID labs that were discovered on US soil, like the one in Fresno County...yeah. Go ahead. Tell us. You can't revise history anymore, pal. I don't give the slightest care what RFK though about vaccines personally but that debacle was not winning anyone's trust whatsoever.

But I want our vaccines to be as safe as possible.”

Zeihan is an independent.
Question is: what kind of independent?
I'd like to hear his views on corporate taxation.
His political bias is as heavy as the shade on his sunglasses
he's already a self-professed filthy neocon (in his own words)
Was thinking the exact thing. Why cannot admit he is a lib (like most of his LGBT team)? It wouldn’t mean his info would be less relevant.
@@BuddyLee23 He may be culturally liberal but he is definately economically conservative; he's got no time for taxes or regulations or social programmes. He's probably closest to a pre-Palin Republican.
I actually met RFK Jr. and I am still going to vote 🗳️ for RFK Jr.
Who would’ve gotten your vote, if RFK jr wasn’t running?
It's always good to provide a comment section in order to encourage the exchange of opinions.
Humor so dry, it desiccated the comment section.
I’m not expert but I have spoken to hundreds of people across a few states and they all say they are voting for trump. I have yet to meet a single person say otherwise. But I am certain there is some bias at play on my part ?
That is not a very scientific study, “I have spoken to hundreds of people.”
If you apply more statistics principles like samples sizes, variance, and population then you could probably get a more accurate picture
Where did you go? The deep south?
@@mitchconner403 I agree , it’s not an accurate representation of what’s going on nationwide . It could be more of the people I associate with such as Hispanic family members and friends , black family members and friends, active military members across Georgia, NY , Texas,Washington state , NC . Police friends in NY and PA , and college friends . Age ranges from 19-80. In total I’d say I have spoken to maybe 400 people maybe a bit less , but one thing does stand out and that is not one person has said they will be voting for Biden .
Sure you have, pollster.
All the polls are 50/50 and somehow everyone you talked to is full trump.
Well then...
Peter Zeihan's clients include energy corporations, financial institutions, business associations, agricultural interests, universities, and the U.S. military. Peter literally works for ALL of the same corporate entities that have captured various Federal Bureaus, Divisions and Departments within our Executive Branch of government. It's no wonder he's smearing Kennedy. This video has sealed the deal for me...RFK, Jr. in 2024!
Those bad actors are also his source of information. He's a mouth piece.

I totally agree, spot on again Peter
Conspiracy theory = spoiler alert.
There ARE such things as conspiracy theories, on both the right and the left and everywhere in between. Until, like, five minutes ago, you and everyone's dog knew this.
@@DieFlabbergast Until a few years ago you were right.
At this point, the difference between a conspiracy theory and a proven fact is six or eight months.
One of the many advantages of having Chalet in the mountains of Colorado is you don’t have to rub elbows with the peasants and the commoners down on the Front Range.
When it comes to everyday life of the middle class, Peter is an out-of-touch academic elitist. ... He spends too much time in mountains ("head in the clouds") and hotels with room service. He should at least Airbnb on his his speaking gigs.

It'll either be him or you. Either way, I'll be laughing. ❤
I don't know, abortion really bit Republicans in the midterms. Peter's "independents won't vote trump because j6" seems marginal but abortion does not. I'm not sure 2 years is long enough for the issue to stop motivating the otherwise politically disengaged from voting Democrat.
@@j03man44this is true. Abortion was such a dumb hill for them to die on, completely shot themselves in the foot. Their strategists are starting to realize that which is why some of them are starting to walk it back. Too late though. Was just reading up on Allan Lichtman's 13 Keys (story on The Guardian, another entertaining source). By concentrating on the backing of the challenging party rather than the incumbents, Zeihan comes at this from the opposite angle. Very stimulating stuff.

Inflation is a global issue though. What can a president really truly do in a short term period about inflation? What the hell do you think Trump would do, when he’s going to spend four years on golf, vendettas, and stealing more boxes of classified documents for parties unknown?
Voters are going to blame Trump. Or the fear of impending Trump. You appear out of touch. Otherwise economy is fine, inflation is manageable, dollar is strong, and the market is soaring. Except for Tesla. Except for DJT. (Turns out nobody wants a piece of that.) Tears all around.

Pete is a liberal, but can’t come out and say it. His income is sourced in speaking fees from historically conservative groups such as farmers cooperatives and the oil and gas crowd. The part where he’s “messing up” is his attempts at non-political commentary. He’s insulting when he tries to use humor to disguise his politics and believing that we lack the same critical thinking skills he does to see his agenda. I get that he loves to think he’s the smartest person in every room and probably never shuts up at a dinner party, but that’s what makes him so entertaining when you can hit pause or next anytime we want. I just hope he can stop falling in love with himself long enough to realize that at least on the subject of politics, we can see him, and his views would be best, either kept to himself, or at least not subject us to further failed attempts at humor meant to camouflage his truth. Smart guy sure, but collectively, we walk circles around him. I look forward to his next post on global affairs where he truly shines.
