I've been doing brand strategy for 4 years now, and I was doing content writing + copywriting for 9 years prior. It's only been in the last year that I've felt "qualified" to call myself a brand strategist, yet nothing actually changed. I'm still working on owning it fully, though!

A perfect example... 13 years and still feeling it. It goes to show... we're not just the only ones to see the imposter, it doesnt exist without our creation

Thank you for your humility, its so reassuring to know how difficult you found starting out doing video. I really enjoy giving presentations and teaching face to face but become terribly self conscious when put in front of a camera and cannot be natural. I really admire your ability to speak in such a conversational natural manner without forgetting what you want to say. Do you rehearse many times or need to do much editing to make your videos so seamless and professional? Also like to say thank you for being so generous sharing your insights.

Thanks so much for your kind words Michelle 😊
Yes there's been a lot of practice, but practice by doing...
A lot of cut takes along the way 😊

I’m doing my first brand strategy call today after telling my mailing list yesterday that I’m now offering this service. The timing of this video could not be more perfect! And you’re right - confidence is key here! Fortunately I’ve been working on that for a good few years. I do love how you say “lean on my confidence.” I’ll be using that!
I’m loving your videos! Keep them coming!

This video has been so beneficial to me for where I am right now at the moment and being uncomfortable in branching out . You have definitely given me the faith to keep moving forward to be the best I can be. Thank you so much 🙏

This was so helpful and exactly where I am. I feel like a fraud sometimes and as though my clients will ask for a refund at any moment at times.
    Thanks!

Thank you, this really resonated with me. I had a great conversation this morning with someone was so happy I thought to myself "Let's do this and post my first video on Instagram." as I have been trying to challenge myself. Once I saw all the black posting in my feed it totally stoped me in my tracks and I thought it was not the right time to talk about the topic I had in mind and ended up not doing anything. Is there right or wrong times to post video content? We live in such a sensitive time and yes I am scared of rejections and critics.

You made the right call :)
But next week - give yourself the challenge of getting your video out there... If you want to be really brave... write down 30 questions your audience might have and do a video for each question for 30 days...
Then analyse your first video vs your last video and ask yourself if the growth was worth it... If yes... go again and continue your growth.
Its scary... but so was everything you did for the first time... (well most things anyway 😊)

@@BrandMasterAcademy Thank you for this suggestion and nudge, I started planning some video content starting next week, scared but excited to see how it will evolve. Thank you!

glad I'm not the only one dropping F-Bombs after messing up for the millionth time.
I'm a lover of learning - which also means I'm never good enough, because there's something I still don't know, haven't experienced, etc. It's a rough cycle. What helps me get by is that I know more than my clients, and I can help them get closer to their goal. I don't have to solve ALL of their problems, just a very specific one.

hahaha - I used to send all my outtakes to my Whatsapp family group and they'd reply with audio clips of their uncontrollable laughter :D
Spot on, know what problem you're solving, know the value of solving that problem and go all in
