Famous Man vs Food Sandwich Challenge at Jethro's BBQ Des Moines!!

A&Z #9B - Randy Santel vs Jethro's BBQ's 5lb "Adam Emmenecker" Famous Man vs Food Sandwich Challenge at the Jethro's BBQ Southside location in Des Moines, Iowa!! A few weeks after finishing my 2-month Florida Tour with ‪@KatinaEatsKilos‬, I started a Midwest USA Food Challenge Tour. For event #5, I stayed in Des Moines, Iowa and visited the newer Jethro's BBQ Southside location of Jethro's BBQ Des Moines!! This was round #3 versus Jethro's "Adam Emmenecker" Famous Man vs Food Sandwich Challenge which was made known on Man v. Food: Des Moines, Iowa many years ago. Adam Richman the host unfortunately wasn't able to complete the challenge within the 15 minute time limit. There are 8 Jethro's locations now and this challenge is available at all of them. I had 15 minutes to finish a giant 4lb sandwich consisting of fried buffalo chicken tenders, a bacon cheeseburger, 1lb of smoked Texas brisket, an Iowa fried pork tenderloin patty, and more, all topped with queso cheese sauce and served with 1lb of seasoned waffle fries. I was trying to become the first winner at the Southside location and earn my $25 sandwich meal free plus another sweet t-shirt and spot on the location's empty Wall of Fame. BIG thanks to Bruce the overall owner, Dominic the Operations Manager, Ben the location's GM, and everyone with Jethro's BBQ for the wonderful food, drinks, and hospitality!! Special thanks also to all the amazing people who came that evening to watch and meet me!! I appreciate everyone in Des Moines, IA and all around Iowa who watches videos and supports our hard efforts!!

Jethro's BBQ Southside's Famous Man vs Food Sandwich Challenge in Des Moines, Iowa ($24.99):
- Jethro's BBQ now has 8 great locations serving the greater Des Moines, Iowa metropolitan area.
- This "Adam Emmenecker" Sandwich Challenge was made famous via Man vs Food Des Moines.
- Adam Emmenecker was a popular basketball player who did very well at nearby Drake University.
- The 4lb sandwich is loaded w/ lots of Adam's favorite foods he gets when he visits Jethro's BBQ.
- There is a spicy pickle, bun, pork tenderloin, buffalo chicken tenders, white cheddar sauce, fried cheese cubes, 1lb Texas brisket, Applewood smoked bacon, cheeseburger, and 1lb of waffle fries.
- There is a 15 minute time limit to finish everything. Winners receive the meal free, a sweet t-shirt, and spot on the location's Wall of Fame!! The challenge was undefeated at the Southside location when I attempted it. If not interested in trying the challenge, it can be ordered to split with family or friends.

I ordered this dish, for my don and I,at the Ankeny location and the second it came my stomach turned. There was something gross about that much food piled high on one dish. I love all of those foods individually but on one plate and on top of one another it really got to me. So kudos to RS for busting this out and getting the sun!!

True story... Stopped at Jethro's on way to Yellowstone. Wife mentioned the floor and table seems sticky and should get a new mop... After noticing the waitress and cook were looking back at us smiling... I ate the ribs and had gastrointestinal problems all the way to Yellowstone... Lol .. I wouldn't stop there again.
